Picking up a print directly supports the creation of these videos. There is a collection of 20+ of my favorite film images from the past two years all scanned as high-quality TIF files. Thanks for the love y'all.
Met up with my friends Hannah and Emma to shoot some portraits on Cinestill 800T and Ilford Delta 3200.

The slamming a beer with a lit ciggy in mouth maneuver really is the stuff of legends
Hahaha 😂
Lmfao I don't think that's a ciggy 😤
The only reason to look forward to Sunday. Brae's new video!
Thanks adam! :)
That's sponsor skit was hilarious!
Amazing work as always with those portraits.
Stay save!
Hah thank you sir!
This ad was AMAZING lol. This is so clever hahaha
Thanks Devin!
Damn dude... I've been watching your vids for a while now...this is next level. Bravo to you. All great photos.
Amen!
Thank you!
Hey! This is one of the best videos of your channel ever for sure, loved the pics, loved the music! Everything fitted so well together, just so pleasant to watch! Nice to see Ricky the man again.
Man, this is new. I've never seen colors that nice on a Cinestill film. Awesome. The environmental portraits in B&W look like they're right in your wheelhouse, too, but the entire session is gorgeous. Oh, and I think the ghost image at the end is perfect. To me, any more than the slightest clue someone/something is there, and it wouldn't be a ghost! I would just be some kind of weird double exposure. Cheers, Brae!
Thanks for the feedback bob! Had fun with these images 😄 hope all is well!
Loved the change of pace. Delta 3200 hit different
Thanks Conner 🙏🏻
absolutely insane, man! beautiful pics
Thank you!
Jackpot! Every shot was a money shot.
Amazing work as always!
Thank you!
Awesome video mate! You are a natural at portrait work. Loved the Ricky intro!
Thanks Stephen!
Every time I walk up to the film fridges at Glazer’s I feel like Indiana Jones getting ready to take the golden statue. I just have to sit there and bask in the glory of all those TONES! 😂
Hahaha exactly 😂
Lovely series. Particularly enjoyed the Delta 3200. I gonna have to grab a roll!
Thanks Shaun! One of my favorite black and white films!
Good and fun video. I like the results with the Cinestill. Very impressive.
Thanks Daniel!
Love the return of Ricky! Those cinestill shots were beautiful.
Thank you!
This was amazing. I enjoyed this series.
Thank you!
Musics are so cool in this video (photos too you killed it man!)
Thank you!
Ricky is the man. Nice photos!
Thank you John!
this is like the best ad I've seen
Haha thank you sir!
Been really wanting to use cinestill for portraits and I think you convinced me. That slideshow of all your pictures is sickkk!
Thanks josh! Def recommend giving it a try!
Thank you - motivates me to take the remainen 800T out of the fridge for some portraits with my 6x7
Brother man... This was all around great work!
Much needed inspiration for myself this month I have to leave the Rockies and am hitting total reset so creatively I've been suffering. Much love✌️
Good to hear! Cheers!
Beautiful work my friend! Love it!
Thank you!
@@BraeHunziker After watching it a second time, I got the feel for how beautiful the songs fit the video! Good work again! :)
Too good man! Great content.
Thank you!
Brae you killed this portrait session 👏👏👏
Thanks Craig!
even for portraits, you're nailing it. hands down
Thanks very much!
Here’s a challenge for you, shoot a portrait session with Ricky P as the model. We’d like to see you pull that one off. Once again another quality video
Now you’re on to something 😂🤔
@@BraeHunziker can we revisit this idea please :)
Making sundays great even in 2020 🔥 super rad video, Brae!
P.s.. the song choices fit perfect with this video
Thank you Michael :)
Love the way the plants cover the mic arm 👌
Haha thanks!
Awesome ghost pic 😱
Thanks Luca!
Dope to see you challenging yourself!
Thanks dude 🤘🏻
The soundtrack on this is just 👌😘, those highlights are an absolute dream to me and the ghost shot? Dude I’m literally saving up for your photo book 👌👌👌
Haha thank you so much Aaron!
Nice shots! I believe the color cast you mentioned is the reason Cinestill recommends an 85B filter when shooting 800T in the daytime.
Oh very good to know. Thank you!
Cool video Brae! It's nice to switch it up every now and then, I think it's time for one of your drive and pull off to the side of the road type videos 🤷🏽♂️
Thank you sir!
Great video as always, thank you for continuing to rep the great film community we've got here in the PNW so we'll. 😁
Next time you're in Seattle, if you have the time, I suggest you check out the Shot on Film Store in Lake City. Excellent shop and wonderful lab that does all kinds of film developing(even ecn-2). Ken, the owner, is an excellent guy and his team is super awesome.
Thanks Nathan! Just bought an A-1 from them actually haha. Love that shop. Ken is the man!
@@BraeHunziker aaaay, that's awesome! I hope you love the A1!
Ken and the welcoming vibe of his store are what got me into film photography shortly after I moved up the street from them. A year later and I'm still loving it. 😁
Anyways, thanks for responding. I look forward to seeing your next videos!
Fantastic!
Thanks!
My take is Cinestill 800 is a great indoor color film to shoot at 800 or 1600 and doesn’t need to be used to only take photos of retro gas stations and diners at night?
Absolutely agree!
Nice video work. Shots as well - were the portraits shot with the 105mm 2.4 wide open? Thanks.
Yeah most were wide open!
Sponsored 🤟🏻you did a good job man! Keep it up! ✌🏻
Cheers!
Whats that camera store called in Seattle? i just moved here and looking for supplies for developing
Glazers. They’re great. Shot on film store is also good
nice portraits !!
Thank you!
Sometimes, shooting portraits is like doing yoga. You put yourself in strange positions, trying to take a picture as you see in your mind. lol
Great job bro
Thank you!
Grainydays would approve this sponsor skit lol
😆
Sunday shindig...
Ricky...what a legend
Did you take reciprocity failure into account?
Yep
1:11 Here's to feeling good all the time
S/o Kramer for the inspo
Does anyone know the name of the songs on this video?
Where you buy your film?
Usually B&H
Any thoughts on the Delta 3200?
One of my fav b&w stocks and superrrr forgiving!
woah.. that camera store looks sick...
Glazers rules
Dude what store is that at the beginning of the video??
Glazers camera!
@@BraeHunziker gah damn it looks like heaven in there
You should have used a strobe to freeze here in the long exposure pic. That’s a technique used to portray Pablo Picasso in one of the best pics you can find of him.
great video bro! great shots. did you rate cinestill 800T at box speed?
Thanks! I did
Finally bro!
legendary intro
Haha thanks man!
Thoughts on your ghostly concept shot. Love the experiment! In addition to exposure time, what if the model wore something white & billowy (white would show up better and emphasizes their ghostlyness)? You could also try to position a fan out of frame in front of or next to your model to get some movement in the clothing. Also consider having the model start at the window and start walking backwards rather than toward the window. Lastly, +1 for the leather pants
These are all fantastic suggestions! If I get the opportunity to re-attempt this, I will definitely keep all of these ideas in mind. Cheers!
Nice work! A Hug.
Thanks!
7:05 wow...
I might actually start to like cinestill
I think if Ricky made a UA-cam channel I'd watch it has religiously as I watch yours
Hahah you might be on to something here 👀
So when's the Ricky Pilsner merch droppin?
Hahaha now there’s an idea...
I think we need a Pilsner IPA 👀😂
Idea of the century 👀
@@HighHatOG that's the dream right there!
WOW I'm early
🤠
Fun skits
You're really good dude especially for how short a time you've been doing it. One thing though, you'd want a shorter shutter speed for that last one so the room burns less into the film. She would just have to walk faster. Maybe 20 seconds or ten seconds.
Thanks! Yeah, couldn’t go any shorter with the aperture I wanted to use. Probably could’ve gotten away with 16 tho
@@BraeHunziker But if you let her walk those 2metres in 40 seconds, it will be a very uneven, unnatural walk, which wont give you a very nice even motion blur either.. She needs to have a higher percentage of time on the negative to be more prominent, but the time alltogether should be lowwer i think
I like eating and watching your videos. Like rn I’m eating a turkey sandwich and I’m drinking a beer. It’s like having sex on drugs.
Hahaha 😂😂
nice and grainy that 3200 ... but that's what you expect
I love you
❤️❤️
Well actually™ - you need a shorter shutter for ghost image. And/or model should wear brighter clothes.
funny intro :D

Nice butt shot. Lol! Cinestill has the color for film in my opinion.
Yeah Cinestill is a fun one!
It's illegal to eat and drive
Kiss me
Please don't bring that character back.
