Disclaimer is a new limited series from Apple TV+ created by Alfonso Cuaron and starring Cate Blanchett, Kevin Kline, Sasha Baron Cohen, Leila George, Lesley Manville, and Kodi Smit-McPhee. Apple+ somehow now has a better hit ratio than HBO. It may not have as many shows as other streamers but it's probably the best streamer when it comes to quality television.
Hulu is better than Max and has SO many great shows.
Hulu is the best overall for me. It has The Great, What We Do In the Shadows, Shogun, Letterkenny, Ted Lasso, Reservation Dogs, Fargo, etc.
Love the “Otto” comment!!! Hope there isn’t a character named Ken in this show! 😂😂😂
K k k ken... 😂

On the sound mix. I believe it was designed for 5.1 surround mix. I noticed that when the main dialog was on it was in the center, but when the narration was being read, it switched to the side and rear channels. I think they may have been going for an audio book experience when it was switching to the narration.
Strange, I have a 5.1 setup and the dialog never really shifted to the side/rear channels. Could just have been my screener copies, which is good so that everyone else doesn't experience that wonkiness!
Good show. The first episode realy was kind of slow, but, the second one picked up a good pace.
On the audio mix, I watched the first two episodes with a 5.1 audio setup, and it really sounded odd to me too...
Looking forward for the next episodes.
Audio mix is outstanding on a surround home theater. Amongst the best sound design of any show or movie. Also point out the exceptional use of animals in the show, many of which I suspect are CGI. Cats just aren’t that easy to act with!
I watched ep 1 & 2. I hate that I won't know the ending until after Thanksgiving.
Utterly disagree on the audio mix and edit. It sounds fucking phenomenal on my Dolby Atmos home theater (9.1.4). One of the best surround and discreet shows that I've seen / heard in a long time.
Agree. Outstanding sound mix that uses all channels to subtle and full effect.
I’ve been waiting for this for quite awhile. I’m thinking about watching it weekly.
Love all the detail you provide! Thank you!🙏💜💜💜
Hey , just wondering if your going to review sweetpea ? I've watched 2eps and its excellent so far , purnell great again ! Very dark which I love 😂
With top talents coming together in Disclaimer, expectations are high; however, after watching Episode 1, I was left feeling disappointed.
The storytelling is laborious, filled with well-worn tricks and tropes that offer little novelty. Most troubling are the camera movements and the varying stylistic palettes applied to the three interconnected narratives. While these choices may be well-intended and meticulously crafted, they often render the scenes and character portrayals stagey and unconvincing.
In attempting to elevate a rather predictable storyline, the series seems to have stripped away both thrills and emotional depth. The organic qualities that make for great storytelling and compelling character arcs are sorely missing.
The most beautiful aspect of the episode is the gorgeously romantic song that plays at the end. Everything else in the episode is gorgeous too but is just beautiful to look at.
I wasn't sure if I wanted to keep watching this show but I love Cate Blanchett and seem to have similar taste in shows as you, so if YOU liked it then I will keep watching.
Thank you for another great review. 😊
Cuaron is back😭😭
3:31 Ep. 3; “Or a priest”? WOW 😮😧
it's not being released until Friday ?
Good to hear that you enjoyed it! Ruben worried me the other day, lol.
Yeah, I fell asleep
@@TheRubyTuesday I'll take that as a challenge to stay awake.

Nice
Well, your intro doesn’t exactly make me want to pay for Apple so I can watch it.
Kevin got old!!! It sucks how time catch up with all of us, nobody can escape it. The actors who plays the grandparents in movies and shows these days were the young ones when I was a kid.
It's a privilege to get old. Many people still die in today's world before they get to Kevin's age. Keep that in mind.
I know… me too. I don’t feel old, then I wake look in the mirror and am sometimes shocked, that’s my face now?
Kevin Kline doesn’t really look that old. They’re doing it for his character. If you look at some of his more recent stuff such as The Good House 2021, he looks at least 15 years younger .

If you think Apple usually hits it out of the park, I'll get my reviews somewhere else.
It's fine that you have that opinion but why post it? It's just putting more negativity out into the world.
It's not even close. Apple TV is by far the best streaming service out now.
