Yay! You got the Catalina one 😀 I haven’t finished Benedict blue yet, but her work is so beautiful. I did the same about those big gems in that one when I opened it. It’s a huge one! I don’t buy Auclair, as It’s AI, but that is beautiful, and will be stunning once done. You are Dac hooked now though!🤣😂 Enjoy, x (not thinking they are motorhome sized!😉)
Haha! My hubs said the same, "they're not motorhome sized!!". You're both right! Yes, I know Auclair use some AI enhancements (like colour correction and image manipulation) but not all their images are pure AI generated, and she is beautiful 😍 You are right, I am DAC hooked now!!
I’m currently working on Copeton Flores Lilac (odd title) and I’m about 1/3 done. It’s looking great. Like you, I tried to get Benedict Blue but it kept going out of stock. But I think I like this one even better. I got a new tool kit in another painting I got at the same time. The pen took a little getting used to but now I love it. It’s very lightweight.
Ooo 1/3 done, that's fab! Now I've seen this one, I think I like it better too, the colours are so bright! I'm definitely looking forward to trying the pen!
I’ve got a new tool kit too! I HAD to buy Appa from Avatar The Last Airbender and the app showed the old kit so I was pleasantly surprised when it turned up with the new. I’ve no idea how to use it either but Diamonds and Washi on UA-cam has recently done a video on it and it looks simple enough. Although I may struggle as I like an angled placer. Gorgeous colours in both and I’ve never seen quad diamonds in real life. You’ll have to let us know how you get on with them. Happy Diamond Painting! x
@BevM7373 ooo nice! I'm excited to try the pen, will check out Diamonds & Washi's video, thanks! I never knew that quad diamonds even existed!! I'm so out the DP loop 🫣 🥰
@@ArtJourneyUK Yeah it will. I only bought ones from Amazon and a few from Add More Zest which ain’t that expensive. I love looking at the beautiful pens that are hand made but I couldn’t justify the cost. x
Ooooh, how exciting 🤩 I've packed all my DP stuff away to make room for my water colour 'dibble dabble' that isn't working out too well (I think I should be an expert straight away lol) I love the first patterned DP, hope you get on with squares, I much preferred them to the rounds xx
I always think I should be an expert right away too, I sat at a piano in a school hall and thought I'd just be able to knock a tune straight out!! I have "dibble dabbled" with watercolours before... I enjoyed it but determined I have no artistic talent!! Enjoy it! 🥰
Square drills are my fave…I bought 4 medium sized Dreamcatcher type ones in pinks and lilacs…only problem is, I’ve changed my colours in the room to autumnal colours and now they won’t go..😂😂
Thanks for sharing, those images are gorgeous. Definitely tempted with the bird pattern one - it looks like it'll be lots of fun. I've also become hooked on the DAC kits and have a few now, although not started any yet. I'm not sure how to tackle the large sizes, so I'd be very interested to hear how you get on with them and any tips, as someone also quite new to diamond painting.
@@CraftyColourist the larger canvases are definitely more of a challenge to do. The one I have started, I've kept partially rolled and clipped with a bulldog clip and started at the bottom (about 4 inches). Rebecca from Add More Zest has a video about working on larger canvases.

@BevM7373 ...just realised, it makes all our fancy pens redundant! (lucky I only ever bought 1 cheapy from Amazon!)

@BevM7373 Yes, same. Some of them were really expensive!
Beautiful... I love square drills...enjoy
Thank you! 🥰
Nice canvasses ❤ Have fun 😊
Thanks Audrey! Hope you're doing OK. Has summer arrived to thd frozen north yet? 🥰
@@ArtJourneyUKNope. 5°C at 5.30 this morning (Friday 12th) 🥶

Oh... that means you'll have to buy some new autumnal coloured paintings to do! 😉🥰

@@ArtJourneyUK Thanks for sharing the link, I'll have a watch 😀
I use washibtape to divide in sections and trim the plastic. This way I work small sections and I don't get overwhelmed.
Forgot to ask how does the new pen work???
I've no idea yet! I watched a video about last night and looks fairly straight forward, like a propelling pencil... but with putty!
You most certainly did😂
😅😅😅
