I’m getting my first Diamond Art Club order on Friday! I’m so excited! I’m getting a round & a square. I wasn’t going to buy from them as I’ve bought a couple from Diamond Art Studio so I have experience of a premium company. However, I saw a painting by Mandie Manzano of David Tennent as the tenth Doctor! And I just had to have it. She has one of Matt Smith too but I’m waiting for it to come back into stock. And I had to buy 2 at a time so I get the free shipping. Then that’s it until Christmas for me too. x
I saw that Number 10 Dr Who painting... was tempted myself, but I'd want 1-13 too lol! It's a nice image. Yes, the free shipping was why I bought two too... although to be honest, I couldn't decide so not a bad thing! Have fun opening yours on Friday! 🥰
@@ArtJourneyUK Yeah I’d quite like to have them all too. But my house isn’t big enough to display them all. And they will be displayed. If I’m paying that much money for them, then everyone who comes into my home is getting shown them! 🤣 x
@@BevM7373 I'd want them going up the stairs, starting from William Hartnell at the bottom... would be like the stairways in Hogwarts with pictures covering every inch of wall 😆
You’re going to have a lot of fun with these. I have decided I’m going to enjoy whatever hobby I fancy now and not blame myself when I get tired of it and move on to the next. Yeah right😂😂
Ooooh, great choices Lily, love your enthusiasm, I was the same when I got my first DAC order. I love the Inspirational Peak one, and it has 2 fairy dusts, I'll have to put it on my ever growing wish list. It's my wedding anniversary today, the hubster said I can order a couple of DP's, he's forgot that he already bought me the color cubes lol. That huge Unicorn one that I showed you took me about 4 weeks so I reckon I could do the heart one in maybe 2 weeks, but I do have a lot more time to DP than you. I'm off on my jollies on Friday, (eek, got to be at the airport at 3.45 a.m. !!!) there better not be any more DP hauls when I get home in 3 and a bit weeks 🤣, take care and enjoy your DAC, I've put a bet on that you won't be able to wait to start one of these 😂🥰
I promise there won’t be any more DP hauls while your away . Ooo have you decided what DPs you’re going to get? You reminded me, hubs and I got engaged 23 years ago today! I do about a 10cm square of DPing each night, so I reckon the big one will take me about 4 months 😂 Have a wonderful holiday, I’ll think of you at 3:45am 😱 🥰
Lily ...good luck with that hahahahha looking forward to seeing the end produts funny viedo you made me giggle . Happy crafting xxxxx I have been looking at Panpastels and watching loads of videos ....about it too
Great paintings. I told my self that I was only going to be making just ONE Diamond Art Club purchase. I ended up purchasing a few DOZEN kits from them, lol. That company's addictive, lol.
Loved this video lovely to see you soooooo happy with your paintings they are beautiful paintings - Lily your light box is it a4 or a3 for diamond painting I have a couple paintings in my Amazon basket haven’t clicked yet !!! Please keep us updated with your journey with this lovely hobby x
Hi Sue! The light pad hubs bought me for Christmas (and I use at home) is A3 but I also have an A4 one which is ideal because you only have to light up the area you’re working on, so it’s definitely big enough. If you’re just starting out and wanting to give Diamond Painting a go, getting a kit from Amazon is a good idea because you’re not too invested if it’s not for you. I’ve been doing the Amazon ones since November now and really enjoy them. Look forward to hearing what you get! 🥰
Lush choices 👌 I think I've got them from all the top companies, DAC are simply the best. I want to say Diamond Art Studio uk, especially as they stock Helkoryo, but omg, the static and bad drills are so hard to get past... You'll see! For time, I only do a square a day, depending on confetti that's about 60 to 90 mins, so dividing your canvas size by your square size you'll see what your average hours would be, if you know what I mean?! You'll def get a good 40 hours of joy, destressing, relaxation etc for your money, that's cheaper than therapy!
Thanks Marie! Yes, someone else said the DAS drills bugged them too. I do a smallish square a day after work (4x4"...ish) so... hmm... looks like the big one will take me about 50 hours. Cool! Can't wait. 🥰
You choose nice ones, I like my Dragon but like I said not sure of the other!! But cant wait for my Oraloa ones they are nearly here yay 😉Enjoy...I Love the canvas (like stoking your dog lol 🤣) I got a strawberry minder.
Your dragon is cute! I looked up the other one and the colours are quite dark, there are lots of people who will love it though. If you don't get any joy on Facebook, I'll show it on a video and send people your way!
Those diamond paintings are very pretty. It would be fun to see your progress with them and how you're finding it - I'm still on the fence with the expensive ones, but I'm getting more and more tempted :-)
Welcome to the DAC obsession. We all said the same thing when buying our first DACs. We were only buying a couple and then working through our budget stash before buying more. 50 DAC kits later and my budget kits are still sitting in my storage bin.
Z are fairydust drills. They have a very fine mica powder embedded in them to make them really shiny. And a big one like that only takes me about a month
Oh my goodness you are absolutely right - that second one is giving huge BOTW vibes!! It's funny because I'm new to diamond painting as well and I am currently working on an amazon canvas that is Zelda and Link stained glass style. I feel awful because I know it's not licensed from Nintendo 😂 but I can't find any premium companies that have video game diamond paintings!! So sad.
Ooo that sounds fab! I wonder if Nintendo even License artwork? I see Mario on so many things. They're probably not that worried about some Diamond Painting images, they're likely more concerned with piracy! Enjoy your Zelda canvas!
Ordered the corpse bride one today it was like $66 😭😭😭 Diamond art club is expensive I hope its worth it. it is huge it will take me awhile month maybe. Granted I don’t have a job I think it would be much longer for someone with one to finish. It also comes with 4 AB drills thats cool. Never tried square Im excited, I hear there are heated debates on if square or round is more sparkly I will see myself.
@@Mojo_Jojo9869 Hopefully you used a coupon and didn't pay full price! The canvas that DAC use is wonderful, so soft. You are right, they are expensive but a real treat. I only have 4 in total. Couldn't really justify more than that. Enjoy yours! 🥰
@@ArtJourneyUK yeah I used code:EMERALD20 for 20% off. Guess she’s a UA-camr sponsored by them, never heard of her. I just typed in diamond art club and searched for someone with the highest code value/views.
Yup, me either. I started DPing in October and haven't really coloured since! I did a bit in December but haven't looked at a colouring book since then!
So you’re not getting into Diamond painting and you won’t buy anymore for a long time? I’m gonna need updates on this 😂 I brought my first painting just for something to do over lockdown when a trip home for a couple of days became a months long travel ban. I never stopped.
@ArtJourneyUK that is the smart thing to do for sure. I have done other premium companies, DAC gets me every time because of the art work I'm interested in.
The glue on the canvas extends over the edge of the image a bit, so they give you washi tape to tape over it.. then your jumper doesn't keep sticking to the edge of the canvas... ...took me a few paintings to find that out 😆

The "Z" drills are fairy dust drills. They have a shimmery, glitter coating on top.

They are definitely more of an outlay! Once I start, I'll definitely share me thoughts! 🥰
I love DAC. but I still do non DAC kits. I don't have the big stash of kits like I've seen people have.
Hey Sheri, yes I've seen people with crazy big stashes! I'm still going to complete my Amazon and Temu ones too! Hope you're keeping well 🥰
