I used to work across the way for Charter One Bank(now Citizens Bank) in the TOPS. It had the old sign until quite a few years back. I love the old style, but it was tough getting in and out and the parking lot as well! Sad its gone 😢
Yes,I loved the unique styling of these old fast food places! I especially enjoyed the solariums too! I agree they should retain the original aesthetic. Sad to see it disappearing😥
Awesome! I love these old restaurants. My local Arby's used to look like this, It recently got remodeled because the Building was old and falling apart. It now is a shoebox sadly but it does look nice but it is not the same. I love the solarium and mines used to have one as well. I just hate how places are shoeboxs they just look so BORING. Also That is understandable about not being the biggest fan, Rax would probably be better but Rax does not Exist out:( I personally like it better then Burger King(even though that is a different kind of fast food restaurant) .
That building and the inside looks like like our old Wendy's exactly to the tee..and i agree wit you 100%They dont make these places like they used to and i miss the older looks and styles and it really sucks is all i can say...
There's still the old building, older than this, Arby's on 3rd St in Williamsport, PA. You know, with the yellow roof. It still has the "cowboy hat" sign. But does have the new in/out signs. I just hope Arby's doesn't mess with that. Maybe update it to be more modern. Like things that are needed like LED lighting for the building. Maybe touch-up on the sign, and updating the lighting on the sign to LED for the sign, but that'd be it.
They just remodeled ours here its actually nice now it was a shoe box before but they redid the inside and ive gotta say i like it not enough booths tho but nice also they just like 2 months ago tore out long john Silvers down and put a shoe box up its not open just yet but i too a peak inside and wow how they down sized it it only has like 3 boots along one wall and like 5 tables thats it crazy i think they could'nt handle the bigger building that was there it had the root beer one the bigger style well its now gone now we have a 10×10 shoe box it sucks...
There's an arby's and a McDonald's down the road from where I live at and a few weeks ago they opened up a new Wendy's and now there building a taco bell and a chick fa la and they also opened a Chipotle to
I wonder if it's gonna be a tear down because of the lack of handicap access, the leaking roof and the solarium being non energy efficient. Still sad, I always say in the solarium under a ceiling fan because here in New Mexico on those 100° f days you would burn up
Man, I love fast food restaurants with sunrooms. I really wish they would somehow incorporate it into the remodel, but judging from the picture it’s unlikely 😢
It’s really a shame on how these restaurants are getting torn down and rebuilt, The only one I can think of that don’t rebuild their locations is Hardee’s.
I remember when I was a kid back in the '70s they had that old cowboy hat sign with the lights one around it. It was huge. That place has been there for years
Hey,I'm from the Chicago burbs. I lived in Chicago ridge and bridge view. I can't remember but was there or will there be an Arby's in bridge view? Haven't been there in 13 years
Yeah, this sucks. People want to know why a lot of these restaurants are so empty inside these days That's why because it looks like garbage and people don't want to eat inside a place. It doesn't look great.
This was exactly like the one down the road from my house. About 5 years ago they ended up tearing it down for a Tim Horton's then built a new one down the road at a strip mall with you guessed it a shoebox one.
Shoe box is the new norm, and I'm not a fan of it. Great video, nonetheless. I gather the Ollie's in the background may have been Kmart or Ames or even Hills? Just a thought.
I been to Hardee's Restaurant in St Charles mo on 2023 Zumbehl Rd, St Charles, MO 63303 for the first time to get a ice cream milk shake because I just got my back tooth taken due to decay so I have to get it removed. The back tooth wasn't doing much so they took it out.
People still eat at Arby's? I haven't been there in about 10 years(or more). They say they "have the meats" so maybe they still have the customers too😊
You should go to the open Arby's in Niles and Warren Ohio and i miss you videos of your Super Kmart Center the last one in Warren Ohio and i miss that store and we like you a lot better than manny guy cuz all he does saids my viewers my subscribers
Ill tell you exactly what there goin do with this building that looks like our old Wendy's here's what they did to our Wendy's we have 2 of them well the one by the mall all they did basically is they took that solarium off and the outside eating part and made it square like a shoe box why they do this kinda Crap ill never know and whats with these places putting like a few boots and few tables and chairs and the chairs are these gat dam hard wood top ones that hurt ur rear whenever u sit down how my sposed to eat when i cant even feel comfortable..its a shame really and for what the crap cost now a days you might as well just stay home an eat a hotdog 🌭 at least i can sit in comfort at home geeeez lol
I wouldn’t call fast food a job…a small means of income, but hardly a job. I’m sure they’ll all find somewhere else that’s better to work that actually pays them.
Amazing video wallie. Something you don’t see often. Thank you for sharing
wsp
Hi 😊
thank you for showing us this arby's before remodeling wallie! appreciate ya
hey
RIP to the good ol' days of fast food restaurants with character!
Exactly, there was a McDonald's in Mayfield Heights, OH and they recently remodeled.
thanks wallie I'm glad you did a video of this Arby's. I love places that have character like this one.
Interesting design. It doesn't look like it was originally an Arby's.
i worked here in 1996. for a short period while living in ashtabula.
Great find Wallie! If you are still looking for something interesting check out the abandoned arbys in north olmsted
It’s a miracle this place is not abandoned 🎊 and everyone still has their jobs

The thumbnail to this video is perfect; very symmetrical and at a good angle.
That building and the inside looks like like our old Wendy's exactly to the tee..and i agree wit you 100%They dont make these places like they used to and i miss the older looks and styles and it really sucks is all i can say...
Great video Wallie! Also, you’re so close to 70k!! Are you going to do a special?
What would be cool is since you have the before video once the remodel is completed an after video would be awesome.

Wow that's was completely shut down here for long of higher somebody's Job to stay open all time would be better one place.
I remember when I was a kid back in the '70s they had that old cowboy hat sign with the lights one around it. It was huge. That place has been there for years
I totally agree with you
This was a complete tear down
It'd be cool if you were come back to this place after the remodel and do a before and after video.
They built new Arby’s here in my town and they’re just bland rectangles.
just like every other fast food restaurant now
It reminds you of an old Wendy's restaurant with the sun room you will need to do a update video soon of the new look
Several Arby’s in the suburbs of Chicago recently closed and are becoming Jack in the box restaurants.
Same thing happened in my city years ago.
Recently, Arby's opened a new location in a Love's truck stop. Been addicted to it ever since
Hey,I'm from the Chicago burbs. I lived in Chicago ridge and bridge view. I can't remember but was there or will there be an Arby's in bridge view? Haven't been there in 13 years
Awesome 👌 video
I live out here in Bula, and they've already torn this building down and gotten rid of the old sign. It's a damn shame
That Arby's looks like the old Hardee's that was in my town no longer a Hardee's anymore though
I want you do to do the amc video in St. Clairsville, OH as soon as you can
Let’s gooooooooooo ARBY’S 👏👏👏👏👏🍔🍟🍔🍟🍔🍟🍔
Awesome video
Do me a flavor come back to this location whenever its done i wanna see what they do to this building..
Yeah, this sucks. People want to know why a lot of these restaurants are so empty inside these days That's why because it looks like garbage and people don't want to eat inside a place. It doesn't look great.
Just only a temporary abandoned Arby's in Ashtabula, OH customers are waiting for new Arby's look.
Think is looks good now
Say Goodbye to The Old Arby's for a New Arby's in Ashtabula, Ohio!!!!?
Hey wallieb26 I see a Abandoned rite aid Across the street maybe you should do a video there
Wow a Oldie this was cool to see Sucks it's getting remolded
I.
Know it reminds me when they did this with our Wendy's.
Cool video bro! 👍👍❤️🤘
Did You Know Arby's Has The Best Crispy Chicken Wraps Ever!!! 😋
This was exactly like the one down the road from my house. About 5 years ago they ended up tearing it down for a Tim Horton's then built a new one down the road at a strip mall with you guessed it a shoebox one.
The shoe box remodeling is ugly and a waste of money.
I agree I still think that is better than places like McDonald’s shoebox my local Arby’s was built with the shoebox and it has a rat problem 😂
It might also come with a double drive though lane to compete with Mc Donald’s when it’s “remodeled” 👀
The logo is a oven mitt not a hat I always thought it was a hat but it's not
Sometimes temporary turns into permanent.
This reminds me of the old school Wendy's with their sunroom dining area from back in the day. I miss these old designs!
Good video I like it 👍
nice! I hate the new destine have a good day!
Shoe box is the new norm, and I'm not a fan of it. Great video, nonetheless. I gather the Ollie's in the background may have been Kmart or Ames or even Hills? Just a thought.
So the employees get a month unpaid vacation and the owner loses 100k at least plus the price to remodel is probably at least a million dollars.
You know who still has a solarium? Rax! 😂
3rd let's go!!
Wallie do you like the metal band Mastodon
I do!
It is currently torn down and they are rebuilding it.
I don't think they have the meats here.
So sad its going to be gone
Also I getting a crown on my tooth so it can get it sealed up coming up on October 31st 2024. I have an appointment with the dentist coming up.
That Mexican place Nextdoor los compadres is moving to a new location so that restaurant will be abandoned soon
does anyone actually like the new shoebox designs? why are they not getting backlash for it
I really like the old school aesthetics of fast food restaurants. The shoe box design is so ugly.
I hate the shoebox fast food places I miss when each of them were unique and distinctive.
They always have that black greased steps and walkways
Nice job Wallie. How you doing? There's an Arthur Treachers fish &chips near Cleveland. Have you ever eaten at one?
People still eat at Arby's? I haven't been there in about 10 years(or more). They say they "have the meats" so maybe they still have the customers too😊
More crummy shoeboxes only there are no shoes.we don't need ugly shoeboxes we want classic retro design.
Never knew... thought only Wendy's had that feature
I noticed there’s an Ollie’s in the background.
Arby's we have the meat.s 😂
looks like it needs to be updated to some degree.
You should go to the open Arby's in Niles and Warren Ohio and i miss you videos of your Super Kmart Center the last one in Warren Ohio and i miss that store and we like you a lot better than manny guy cuz all he does saids my viewers my subscribers
