Stumbled upon your account while looking up Brittany hunting videos. You do an amazing job on all levels of your videos. Not really a Chukar hunter, but you've got me watching your Chukar videos. Keep it up!
Great video! My buddy has a Pudelpointer and I just got my Brittany about 4 months ago. We have 3 days on my puppy and she is giving us glimpses of what she is going to be and I hope she is just like Annie
@ReelsandRidges she is 6 months now I picked her up at 8 weeks old. I've had her out 3 times. I think the Pudelpointer and Brittany combo is awesome also.
Woah those are some good shots! I was wondering if you can give me some locations to go chukar hunting. I just moved here from Hells canyon near Idaho and would love me some steep hills to climb for chukars! Thanks and awesome video and editing!!!
Did my first chukar hunt in the Northeast part of the state, solo. Drove up from Phoenix. Never been before. I soon realized i was underdogged after the first walk. Even with conditioned pads the terrain definitely required boots for a single dog on a multi day hunt. Sure, I got into birds but that place and chukar calling have been in the back of my mind since I got back home.
Very accurate, one of the hardest things about hunting Chukar is keeping your dog’s pads healthy. Like you said, even dogs that run a lot can get sore pads from a single day. That country is tough but it sure is beautiful
@ Thanks for the reinforcement 👍🏼. I would laugh when people say “just condition your dogs feet”. Those rocks turn into cheese graters pretty quick. Another observation I made was how many birds I seen down low compared to up high. 90% of the birds I seen were down in the flats around water (this was mid-late October). Definitely a learning experience.
The grass is very sparse in your video in comparison to Idaho and Eastern Oregon. This year, our bird numbers are unreal, holding well in tall, tall grasses.
@ReelsandRidges i enjoy watching Annie. I run 8 Brittanys myself with our August 30th start on Mountain Grouse. Then chukar, Hungarian, quail, and sage hen 3rd weekend in September. I, along with some help (2 sons and wife), shot 292 birds this season. I got 4 species in one hunt for the first time this season. Pheasant, chukar, Hungarian partridge, and quail. All wild birds on public lands.
Wow 8 Brittanys! That’s awesome, sounds like they do very well for you. I would love to get a pheasant on public land, still haven’t done that, it’s kinda tough to do here in Nevada
@ReelsandRidges On the creek bottoms this year, we've found Pheasant in the tall grasses and willows. We've been breeding for chukar hunting. 4 generations of the pups coming this spring.
That intro song is a banger!
Great retrieval Reed, ya Mtn Goat! 😁👊🏻
3 years old is the very beginning of prime. She's got some more in her and she's already stellar!
She’s the goat! 🐐

I might be biased but the Pudelpointer and Brittany combo is the dream team! If you’re getting those glimpses at 4 months I think she’ll do great!

Thanks for the kind words! The great thing about Nevada is that basically any range you go to that has good water sources will hold birds!

Yeah early in the season if it’s hot you definitely don’t want to get too far from water. As it gets later though they will move off quite a bit
Im curious what number Gropro you use? What settings are you using 4K or 1080p and your frame rate. Looks good. Thanks
We have 10s and shoot 4K 60fps
What type of shells and size?
We were shooting Kent’s size 6
What's that song in the intro?
Nice work on the birds too!
For the song we wrote the lyrics and then used AI to generate the music for us!
@@ReelsandRidges Can I cover it?
@hyperionsound yeah, we would love to see what you come up with! Make sure to tag us!
رحله رائعه صديقي ما هو العتاد المستعمل وما هو رقم الخرطوشه

What’s the song
We actually wrote the lyrics and then used AI for the music

@@ReelsandRidgesGreat job with music. Liked it a lot.
cool song
Where are you hunting, time of year, and are there rattlesnakes.
Northern Nevada in early November, we didn’t see any rattlesnakes but it was warm so wouldn’t have been surprised to see one

How are the chukar numbers in E OR? SE is loaded.
Glad to hear numbers are up in your region as well 💪
