Jokes are supposed to be funny, and usually they don’t require all this lead up. I mean, the baby belly and everything was a little much. I guess as a woman who has been pregnant and nearly died it just isn’t funny. Growing up I used dark humor a lot to cope but this doesn’t come off as dark humor or anything like it considering she admits to being intentionally manipulative for money.
I’m glad you made it through that!
Unless your just trolling
Some people just have really pathetic senses of humor, desperation for attention, zero conscience, or any combination of the three
waah waah
Jokes are subjective. Your opinions means jackshit.
She said the purpose was to manipulate people into growing her patreon and she will keep all the money.
Im still waiting for the punchline.
The problem is that she's conflating the two words, she uses the word satire when she actually means scam.
I mean the only people negatively reacting to this are people that didn’t already watch her videos, people who know her videos say it was pretty obvious she was bullshitting. In fact I saw a report somewhere she posted a pic on her patreon or somewhere of a receipt for a fake pregnancy stomach days before she posted the pregnancy announcement, she basically did tell her audience she would be pulling this prank, it’s just everyone else that didn’t know and is upset. But really if a single person that didn’t know her subscribes to her patreon it would technically be a win for her. I still haven’t seen any former fans calling her out, none of her primary audience cares about this.
@@mattkurek9259the brain rot tastes so good...
Her subscribers knew it was fake. Stop being so overly dramatic. All of you learning this through moist should just fuck off and ignore this.
@@mattkurek9259So where's the part where her joke doesn't intentionally scam people that don't know her? I've seen her videos and you can see the comments to the pregnancy video. Not everyone was "in" on the "joke".
There's a difference between making a joke or a point and simply lying for your own benefit. If the idea was to prove something, she wouldn't actually be posting her own Patreon.
i knew caroline and this is her exact type of humor, but regardless it’s still a very weird thing to try and charge money for it to make a point and then say i see you as nothing but money
You didn’t know her lmao. Absurd
@@vermemmeadsf so her whole point was to say that parasoical relationships are dumb, but she’s promoting her patreon, and one of the tiers description is that she lets you know stuff about her personal life. didn’t she just say she thought parasoical relationships are dumb? explain how that makes sense
@@bruhimvibing explain how you know her. Poor loser
@@bruhimvibing How would you know that whatever she tells you is true. You don't know this person.
@@RandomAutist that is a good point she made… why is she promoting her pateron promoting a para social relationship the more money you spend?

It’s not just 50. It jumps to three fucking hundred bucks a month.
Does she know what parasocial actually means lol
anyone who thinks having a miscarriage is funny completely doesn’t understand people who have actually had one
Nobody thinks that it's funny

It is mostly crazy to me as well because she talks against parasocial relationships and how viewers are mostly just money, which is true in most famous people on the internet, but then offers the highest sub to be essentially exclusive to exactly those people. That is just foul and dishonest.
Sounds honest to me. You don’t see entertainers as entertainers? They not ur friend man
@@Notypls101 huh? When did I even insinuate that? I'm just pointing out her hipocrisy, I'm very much not parasocial

3:25 Charlie's "HUH" is so funny lol
Ironic that Filthy Frank never asked for money, just chromosomes to save his friends and onmiverse.
I'm just wondering if she's a psychopath or a sociopath.
Chronically online
She has bipolar. Unfortunately, when she started treating it, she stopped being funny. Maybe she's trying new meds?
@@hellterminator I hope you’re not suggesting bipolar disorder and sociopathy/psychopathy have literally ANYTHING to do with each other.?
@@allisoncastle no they didn't. she just actually has bipolar.
She's a 20 year old comedian that misjudged how seriously people would take a poorly thought out bit probably because she hasn't had any personal experience with this stuff in her life and didn't realize how poor taste it was. Let's not blow this out of proportion and suggest the girl is evil
Caroline went too far with this one, not funny, just a shame
The amount of people just saying this is her type of "humor" in this comment section as if that makes it okay to begin with is insane. Miscarriages aren't a joke in the slightest, just goes to prove how many kids are here who don't understand the weight of such news if it were real.
Exactly. I've had a miscarriage myself and it was a painful and traumatizing experience.
Disagreed, i think they CAN be funny. Same with 9/11 and pearl harbor jokes and suicide and all them silly stuff. Sad stuff sucks, but they CAN be funny. Especially if you yourself havent gone through it. Just because they dont know the emotional weight of a heavy event, doesnt make it not funny to them. And what you deem as okay is up to you, but personally I think its fine as long as you dont "joke" the way she did.
I think the difference is this is CLEARLY a ploy to manipulate as many eyes to her patreon as possible. She aint even trying to hide it.
The "joke" was getting people to think she went through something terrible after convincing em it was real, just to get a lot of attention to her patreon.
People dont usually take lightly to that.
She did a bad thing, but she knew exactly what was gonna happen and it worked.
@@ninjdraw8305 You contradict yourself, not everything has to be optionally bad or good, some things are just bad, miscarriage 'jokes' are one of them, full stop.
Anyone over the age of 12 doesn't find 9/11 jokes funny, same with Pearl Harbor. Because people over the age of 12 should in most cases, be able to understand the emotional weight that comes with 'jokes' like those, even if they don't live through it. It's called respect, and basic human decency.
The fact that you feel the need to justify sad stuff as being funny just furthers my point on how young you, and everyone else that thought this was funny is, and if not young then definitely lacking basic human decency.
But please, explain to me what was funny about the miscarriage 'joke'. What was the "funny" aspect. And would you laugh at it in front of someone who has had a miscarriage? No, because you know deep down in your deluded little mind that it isn't.
There's literally someone commented above you that JUST SAID they've gone through a miscarriage and it was not fun by any means yet you STILL decided the comment was okay. But, considering your lack of self awareness, I'll just assume you'll come up with some quick not so witted response after saying TL;DR.
@@X_x_ShadowGaming_x_X wow, the ability to just completely miss a point, to look at a thing and completely misinterpret it, is INSANE. You GOTTA read it again.
Ill say it again but a lil more simple so you get it.
What she did, wasnt a joke. What she did was blatantly manipulate and then call it a joke. Thats why i put all the quotes buddy. Cuz i dont really consider it a joke, and if it was it wasnt funny. Setting people up to ACTUALLY BELIEVE you miscarried aint a joke. And AS a joke, i just dont find it funny.
Okay thats one, two, the "Anyone over the age of 12 doesnt find 9/11 jokes funny, same with Pearl Harbor" is unnecessary as hell. Considering the fact that you misinterpreted how I thought her joke was unfunny, ima assume you misinterpreted and assumed WHAT about those things i found funny.
No, it isnt the actual subject matter that i find funny like im all edgy and shii. If someone screams "PEARL HARBOR!" i dont start dying laughin. That aint how me works. What I said, and the reason I put such an emphasis on "CAN", was because i think themes like that *CAN* be funny. Imo they SHOULD be open for jokes. And that even *I* as someone who wouldnt get offended at a lot of those things *DIDNT* find what she did funny.
If you disagree that those things shouldnt be used in jokes, you do you thats fine I aint ragging on you for it, but humor wasnt my main point AT ALL. Ragging on me for it doesnt do you any good. Not like ima change what i personally do and dont find offensive, knumnuts.
And lastly, because you bring up the person above me, i can only assume you read what I said as "miscarriages are funny!" Ya gotta have the cerebrum of an inchworm. Be a real fart snuffin fella. A REAL useless defensive mfer, to misinterpret what I said and fight a completely separate fight about the morals of miscarriage jokes when we out here fighting *on the same side*
What the commentor went through was terrible, and to not like miscarriage jokes is completely fine. Thats not a BAD thing to be sensitive to that kinda thing.
All I was saying was that I disagreed that it SHOULDNT be allowed PERIOD, but that it didnt matter because what this internet celebrity did was wrong, and that there was no joke to begin with.
Last thing I wanna touch on, no i wouldnt laugh at a miscarriage joke in front of someone who had a miscarriage are you dumb? That doesnt mean I WONT find a joke using it as its subject matter funny EVER.
doesnt even matter because THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE MAIN POINT
Prayin you get passed Reading Level D cuz this mad pathetic, ya fightin ghosts when we agreed on the main thing. I just disagreed on where the line is drawn in comedy and you said 😡😡😡 lmao like come on thats a completely subjective matter outside of (what i'd say) is an objectively wrong thing this woman did.
@@ninjdraw8305 None of this matters or somehow gives you a gold star for not finding the joke funny. Not a damn thing.
What does matter, again, is that you feel this need to fight a war in defense of MISCARRIAGE jokes to begin with; even if it isn't this one in particular.
This was an easy win for you, all you had to do was keep your mouth shut and not voice your stupid thoughts, but you vomited them out anyways to fight a war for no reason, and now you just look stupid.
You say it's TERRIBLE what the poster above has to go through with their personal experience of miscarriage. And then actively wipe your ss with that whole self awareness by saying they're "sensitive to that kind of stuff", as if a miscarriage is only a bad thing in jokes because you went through it. No numb nuts, it's because it's a bad thing to go through in general. You say you don't laugh at Pearl Harbor jokes, but still felt the need to defend them anyways by even saying you find the THEME FUNNY? What was funny about that whole thing?. The list goes on with how deluded you, no amount of big proper english insult words like "fart snuffin fella" will save you from that reality.
There's literally zero reason to advocate for miscarriage jokes, because there is nothing funny about them. Same goes for 9/11, and same goes for Pearl Harbor. Same reason no one is going to joke about ape, or chilb ex traffic. Because they aren't funny topics no matter how "sensitive" you are to said topics.
But please, give me an example of what YOU find funny personally about miscarriage jokes, I'm curious. Why are you so adamant on defending a horrible thing as freedom of speech joke worthy material?
I would argue giving people a view in to your life in exchange for money is gonna foster way more parasocial relationships and make people feel way more entitled to her life because their paying for it then viewers thinking she's pregnant and simply supporting her but maybe that's just me
It's definitely gonna make those people feel like they're 'special' or they have a closer relationship than they actually do.
Especially the weirdos who will fork over $50 a month

Its a joke, it might not have landed but it is still a joke. Everyone knew it was fake. Whats your point ?
@@ceshmate1953 my point is simply that she did some fucked up joke that shouldnt go unnoticed or that should be seen as "okay because its a joke". It was absolutely fucked and isnt okay at all, and she should get proper back lash for it. and no not everyone thought it was fake lol
@@ceshmate1953it’s pretty clear most people DIDNT know it was fake
@@ceshmate1953 what the hell are you talking about???? ALMOST NO ONE thought it was fake. You’re just lying to fit your narrative. Pathetic.
@@ceshmate1953 The point is that just because someone makes a joke doesn’t mean it is funny and it also doesn’t mean they should just be let off the hook. She stated in her own words from her own mouth that her intention was to MANIPULATE. She doesn’t deserve to get what she wants when she openly admits to manipulating her audience to get their money. People who have nearly died or lost children can experience PTSD, depression and other emotional distress that affects their every day life. It would suck to get attached to someone who is pregnant at the same time as you only for both of you to miscarry, and then you find out she was lying. Bought a fake baby belly and everything. That is a lot of set up for a joke. Oh, wait, she said it was manipulation herself so, is it really “just” a joke? When her intention is to manipulate and lie for money. Can you comprehend that lying and manipulation is wrong, Even if it’s under the guise of a joke?

@@ceshmate1953so it is weird then. If someone else cannot understand why you said or did something and you say “well it wasn’t meant for you” then it is weird. She scammed people and brought up a very real very traumatic event a lot of women have to go through

She made a joke about something wildly inappropriate and a sensitive topic to many
Nope because the ones defending her are the ones who have a parasocial relationship with her and will accept anything and everything she does and puts out
Sunken cost fallecy. You spend money on it, so u don't want it to fail, so alot of people defend it instead.
When I was younger, my brother preordered a game that was terribly buggy and borderline unplayable when it came out. Everyone trashed it, but he defended it to the end. As the above commenter said, it's probably due to the sunken cost fallacy (or the fact people project their own self worth to the things they own for some reason).
She's giving me Zack Snyder's vibes when he claimed Suckerpunch was meant to criticize the sexualization of women in cinema, the moment she brought up her Patreon in a series of videos meant to satirize(?) parasocial. The only thing that will make the punchline work is if the Patreon was fake and it was actually a part of the bit.

I think its a good lesson for people that they should stop believing and caring about others on the internet and instead care more about those around them. I mean I got a PayPal and no baby that counts right y’all can send some *donations* for a good cause of course
not trying to defend or critizez her i feel like her joke has gotten lost in translation her whole bit was about how youtubers feed you fake shit for your sympathy for that parasocial relation ship to proft off you her video while seeming genuine was a skit like all of her "super serious" videos which the audince knows are jokes this one reached father then her audiance due to the subject matter and i think thats why people are so upset because thier not familar with her that well to identify and recongnize that this was a joke dispite its seemingly real tone
See this would make sense but the problem is the ones in a actual parasocial relationship with her are the ones that follow her everywhere she goes a good chunk of her fan base thought she dropped off the planet for two years while the actual weirdos that know her podcast follow her insta already knew this was just going to be a skit. Not to mention why even mock it if the premise is to give the same weirdos exclusive behind the scenes of her life. I get what she was trying to do but it's an absolute dumpster fire of an attempt to be "artsy"
Anyone who watches Caroline wouldve know it was a joke
True. Honestly I thought the "breakdown" in the car would make it obvious to anyone, but that doesn't change the fact that what she did is weird. She made a point about people being parasocial but made a patreon that nurtures that behaviou
joking about miscarrying isn’t funny.
given that she had previously talked very candidly about her mental health diagnosis/psych ward stay, gotta say i believed it at first. but she’s only incentivizing the people she’s poopooing by making their “relationship” have monetary value
Honestly it just comes off as a ploy for attention and I can only see this being damaging in the long run by turning away viewers. Idk I just kinda feel disgusted/uncomfortable from it.

Shut up.
The whole "directing people to her patreon and assuming that the STALKERS are the ones that WONT pay" is super messed up and just overall delusional... But the whole faking a pregnancy thing for 1.) is 100% in character, as someone whos been watching her comedy for a long while this is exactly the edgy type of "going too far" comedy she has ALWAYS DONE and 2.) she didnt fake having a miscarriage, she faked having a pregnancy, and then she click baited having a miscarriage, but she instantly explains the bit, she isnt actually pretending to have a miscarriage nor is she mocking anyone who has because if she was A.) that would be an actual problem worth canceling and B.) she couldve just started a go fund me and ACTUALLY scam her audience, which she didnt do...
Yes what she did is weird and distasteful, and there is absolutely no logic behind her thinking that this would all be a good marketing strategy for patreon, but all of this "news" (especially ATOZY) is just blown so unfathomably far out of proportion that it actually makes my stomach churn hearing people complain about it. She hasnt scammed anyone, she didnt fake a miscarriage, shes just dumb, shes just another Idubbz and ALWAYS HAS BEEN!
