  • Introducing the Hase Pino Allround 2023 w/ All-Axle Front Motor System (by Bike Swift)
The idea was started out of the need for a more innovative (and fun) electric option for Henry and his wife to take on trips. Hase Pino's Allround was a perfect choice for the concept, taking advantage of the renowned Hase design.
This is the premier electric tandem for all kinds of riding - quick jaunts around the city, a long ride in the country, or even a multi-day tour! The stoker sits in the front in a reclined position, perfect for comfort and view; the captain is upright and benefits from the long wheelbase for improved steering and handling. This bike is the result of meticulous engineering and many years of refinement from Hase, and the 2023 model features:
Improved captain (rear) handlebars that are stiffer, easier to adjust, and accommodate a wider variety of positions (including very tall/upright)
A telescoping main frame tube (in addition to the stoker's seat tube, which has always telescoped to allow for various rider heights), allowing for easier storage, compatibility with standard bike racks, and better handling when ridden solo
Revised stoker position for more comfortable riding (lower pedals relative to stoker seat)
This bike features a cutting-edge motor system. At the heart is the All-Axle hub motor, made in Vancouver BC, which has no internal moving parts, is compatible with nearly any bike imaginable, and provides considerable torque in both forwards (acceleration) and backwards (regenerative braking) directions. The system also has a torque sensing bottom bracket, meaning that the system assists based on the captain's pedal power, along with a throttle for quick off-the-line acceleration. The Panasonic/Tesla battery provides 1,000 watt-hours of energy, enough range for 25-60 miles of regular riding (and can be connected in parallel with a second battery for double the range).
The bike comes standard with a rear rack, and an optional Lowrider Front Rack can be added ($285) that can take an additional 4 panniers (2 standard, 2 small size).
Come to Bike Swift for a test ride!
Note: Each bike is built to order, which includes custom 3-D printed parts and a considerable amount of labor. Allow 2-3 weeks for completion after order. Shipping is possible, please inquire before ordering.

❤I just love this description and use of Grin tech. I have essentially this same setup on my BikeFriday Diamond Llama and just love it. Are you selling the Grin equipment for DIYers that don’t live near your Seattle location? I have a second BikeFriday with their SX1 kit and my wife’s Bikefriday has the SX1 kit as well. We have been very happy with non proprietary systems, having learned the hard way with Bionx and the prices on replacement batteries for Bosch kit. If we didn’t live so far away near Memphis, we would definitely be customers. Good luck with your business.

Interesting stuff - I've got a modern Pino with a E6100 motor. The only thing that makes me jealous of yours is the regen braking! Especially after I just upgraded to Hope Tech v4 brakes 😂 You're totally right it being a great bike to cycle with others on. I'm taking a friend to the Netherlands on mine next month, and it looks like I might be giving a local member of our cycle campaign group a short ride on it in the coming days to see if she gets on with recumbent cycling. She's currently unable to ride a normal bicycle as she's dealing with hip arthritis.
