When did you go, in which month? Will it be the same in summer?
I visited in December. During summer the temperature ranges between 16-23deg C and waterfalls might be dry.
Coimbatore is the major route for Ooty
Ok. But If you are from Bangalore then via Mysore is the major route.
Perhaps I should have not allowed my romanticized version of Ooty, as created from watching Moondraam Pirrai, to be squashed, crushed and quelled by a real trip to this place. It was dirty, crowded with people not thinking twice before spitting and discarding their rubbish indiscriminately. The busy traffic and diesel-fueled vehicles made the cold air offensive to inhale. This continued into Conoor and Kodaikanal. I don’t understand why this total disregard for hygiene. Isn’t cleanliness next to Godliness? What more in a country that promotes spirituality. The traffic was very busy. On the way all the hotell are very expensive and in shopkeeper sells there iteams on veryy high price. It’s a best place to visit during December time .I loved the place there are many sight seeing and enjoyable tourist spot available. But the very very worst experience is the local ooty taxi drivers they are worst in their behaviour no safety , they are talking bad words , fighting with the customers too, will charge extra cost .😊
