Your belayer needs to stop holding her brake hand up above the device in the unlocked position. She's also cinching you in too tight and giving you an advantage by lifting you.
Nice climb! Tell her to watch that brake hand. Hopefully the grigri cam will still lock but a good amount of rope may slip through. And she could end up hurting her hand as the rope yanks through the cam before the cam locks up inside the gri.
