What about Hanover my birth parish; there's a 2000 hotel and casino under construction. How come they're not putting infrastructure into place to include shopping such as the Progressive supermarket, food establishment, Fontana pharmacy etc. Why everything is always geared towards Kingston or Montego Bay the rest of the country does matter, it was recently that they acknowledged St Thomas due to the construction of the highway
The Prime Minister announced on the weekend while in Lucea celebrating the 300 years of the founding of the parish that a new town is coming as the town has outgrown its present capacity
Rubbish. This is a major development and it requires serious financing. We have too many rushed development with so many end up becoming white elephant such the stadium in Trelawny, the wharf in Portland, the sligovile stadium in st Catherine, the downtown kingston bus park, the Catherine park sports facility in st James and several others that ate underused. The projects had no business plans to make them useful on a long term basis. So to suggest that the government finance another project like this using scarce resources is irresponsible. A project of this nature should be finance by the private sector that will make it profitable and viable as government should not be so active in the economy which is stifling private entrepreneurship.
@@Grogu-485 It should be for St. Ann's Bay. I hope the government will one day look into revitalizing and upgrading the parish capitals. St. Ann's Bay deserve one of these modern Urban Center complexes.
