This video shows all the steps I did to complete this home-made Baby Yoda Puppet made from scratch! This is a mechanical puppet (Mech Puppet). Similar to an animatronic, but it is manually controlled.

Spectopular. Baby Yoda looks so cute. Love how technical he is yet fairly straight forward to move. Not sure if I'll be able to make a puppet that's so complex but that won't stop me trying. :-)

The general head shape, minus the wrinkles, could double as head shape for Gizmo from Gremlins! Anyways, great puppet, I had wondered to myself what Yoda would be like as a Muppet style puppet...this is pretty close to the answer!

I rarely like videos on youtube but I actually smashed the like buton on this video. I just want to say that you are one of the most talented people I know. I am blown away by the mechanics and how accurate the face is. I saw a lot of people who messed up the face and made him look fat, creepy, old but yours is basicly ✨perfect✨. I know how hard this is and you just put all that hard work into a 15 minute video. I wish you good luck on your new projects and keep up the good work.

I’ve heard a few other people have similar theories, Reminds me of that old looney tunes where bugs finds a baby that’s actually a criminal on the run. In the first episode it is said he’s 50 years old, but different species age differently. I do wonder though from a production standpoint if Disney would be cool with making the most merchandisable character from the series be a grown man in disguise especially with how much kids like baby yoda. But I personally would love a twist like that!

So cool! The little guy is just adorable and I am so impressed by all those mechanisms. I am working on a Beetlejuice the Musical-inspired sandworm hand puppet with a design inspired by the white dragon on Keep Drawing, Charlie!'s channel. It has been so helpful to see in-depth explanations on your channel. I am interested in making the inner head of the sandworm capable of moving forward and receding back into the main head's mouth. Have you ever seen any sort of simple sliding thing like that?
