You can't go home again | Episode 2: Chronicles of a Chinese Canadian in Hong Kong

There’s a quote that says “you can’t go home again”, which refers to the idea that places and people are constantly changing and nostalgia can make us over-idealise the past instead of seeing things for how they are today. This vlog takes explores a Hong Kong Canadian’s journey to navigate the differences between the vintage of Hong Kong culture that he was raised in back in Toronto and the one that exists in Hong Kong today.

I appreciate the "camcorder filter" that you used to represent the times of the waterfalls in Canada. After "leaving" Toronto for nearly 20 years, I feel very much the same about not being able to "go home again" :(

Becca’s comment: it wasn’t that long ago for it to be a cassette tape lol. And so interesting about Toronto given distance wise you’re not that far away.
