Raw video: Washington DC Fire response in Union Market

- On Friday, March 31, around 11:30pm, Washington DC Fire and EMS responded to reports of a small fire on the roof of a building on the 1200 block of 4th St NE in the Union Market district.
Initial reports were that the fire was at/in a large apartment complex next door, which triggered a box alarm response, with a large response. There was some confusion as to how to best get to the fire, which was quickly extinguished.
Since it was a Friday night there are a few easter eggs in this video, including a Domino’s pizza delivery driver trying to deliver to the building that was evacuating, a dog meet up, and an Uber/Lyft driver stuck between two fire trucks and has to wait.

Yeah my home city is always doing good but, people need to stay away from emergency vehicles.
It did look very confusing. Agree that the MPO should have flushed the hydrant. She was humping. I would suggest those hair extensions be tied back so she's not constantly pushing them out of her face. Definitely needed traffic control and crowd control. Those folks gathered at the main entrance needed to be moved away. Where was command?
DC water must be clean if flushing the hydrant was not necessary
Yeah they clean their water in the city area but in southeast that shit not clean

Sleeving and opening a hydrant is a one-man job. Along with hitting building connections.

Why is she doing the hookup alone? Anyone who condones this is making excuses for a lack of manpower! Question, what if the FDC was around the corner on the 2 or 4 side and behind a locked gate? Maybe this was an isolated incident....I hope so. BTW she did what she had to do.
What an odd scene 🤦🏻♂️ you had members getting off truck 4 half dressed in turnout gear , no SCBAs basically looked like the were on a food run

2 reasons to make sure the hydrant is operational and to flush out any debris or trash that maybe in the hydrant that would damage the pump or clog the hose.
