The fact that he figured out how to play it completely halfway in despite repeating how he doesn't know how to play is a true testament to Scott's game design
Uh the only reason he figured out how to play was because of the help of the chat in the livestream, which you can clearly see him reading at 15:23 and other times.
@nightfall4434 Honestly in my humble opinion Springtrap does better at the buildup than the payoff His hide and seek antics are pretty tense but the loud noise is kind of the only thing that gets the junp on the player since otherwise he's kinda just walking in your direction Would've been better if he was like reaching out at you or doing something actively hostile It's kind of like FNAF 1 Foxy in that way, Foxy was real good at scaring the shit out of players up until he reaches the left door, leans in and goes "Ayo the pizza here" Fnaf 2 did it way better with Foxy fuckin lunging at you mouth agape
Well that’s because Springtrap doesn’t exactly “scare” the player unlike the animatronics from the previous games. Mostly because its just a corpse who’s stuck in a suit from the spring lock failure
He doesn't need to jumpscare you, he's already won and he knows it. Springtrap is an intelligent being in comparison to the actual animatronics from the previous games. Moreover the suit causes him immense pain as evidenced by him moaning in pain whenever he takes a step. Would make no sense for him to jump on you and flail his arms around.
Fun fact: you can hold win+shift and press an arrow key and move a fullscreen window between monitors. Very useful if, just for example, a video game opens on the wrong monitor.
If you don’t reset ventilation, I believe you start to hallucinate and will start seeing Springtrap in multiple places at once, making it impossible to keep track of him. That’s on top of your limited visuals.
Also the screen constantly fades black, which allows him to basically move around way quicker, like if you don’t fix vents quick enough he’ll be at your office in no time
fun fact, if you don't fix your ventilation errors you can start hallucinating multiple springtraps (bunny guys). if he's suddenly teleporting from different rooms/vents during a ventilation error, chances are you were looking at a hallucination.
@@F.R.E.D.D2986 when this game first came out, the phatoms were really surprising bcuz people didn't know about the screens yet, but yeah. Probably the least scary one, but the lore was sick
Well Phone Dude certainly didn't, but IIRC the tape he plays immediately after calling you hints at it, explaining that the old characters had a function to listen for sounds of children and to go there. If you're paying attention, that would be your immediate hint at what to do against Springtrap (if the mere existence of audio lures didn't tip you off already, at least.)
I had to look that up cause I was worried you were referencing some random FNAF Ripoff mod thing, thank god it's a cartoon and not related to that trash fire of a rhythm game

22:20 you're right about that sound. Audio is a big part of the fnaf series and in fnaf 3, that death whistle sound gets louder the closer springtrap gets to you. Its pretty much to serve as a warning.
10:25 I think phantom chica had so much more potential to be more than just a spook. Same goes with all the other phantom animatronics. There isn’t really any lore behind them and it’s leading me to want more info. Then again I think Scott’s intentions were to just make them frightening hallucinations. That’s just my thought.🤔

I definitely like "eff-naf" 4 less because the mechanics of having to listen closely or else a loud death noise plays feels more mean than scary. There are some things to appreciate though
Mean? Probably, but I think that's part of why it's scary, forcing you out of your comfort zone. It's a minimal aspect, I grant; the majority of the terror comes from not being able to trust your ears and fearing the moment your gut gives you the wrong feeling and you die. Neither of these are fair. Aside from 2 in my opinion, all of the games have great gameplay loops in their own right, regardless of the lore, characters or jumpscares. I *will* grant that in terms of jumpscares, this game is frankly the worst with them (90% of them are only there to startle you, unlike almost every other jumpscare in the franchise which actually act as failstates.) That's the key distinction; jumpscares are *only* really pointless and cheap if they're only there to scare you. The phantoms here are cheap; every other jumpscare in the franchise have a key purpose to them. As for the lore... in Scott's defense, I doubt he wver wanted it to get this convoluted, and now feels like he has to (or had) because he wrote himself into a corner in FNAF4. But on the other hand... he wrote himself into a corner in FNAF4. The way I see it though? While I am very much aware of the lore, I never really paid said lore any mind while I played these games, and I think that's what works here: you can play the games and ignore the lore, and still come away having fun with a lot of them.
@@bababooey5402they arent exactly there only to scare you though--when you get jumpscared it creates a loud noise that alerts springtrap to your positipn faster. its also meant to disorient you SO THAT you miss something or forget, ultimately leading to you to an actual death. also, there are phantoms that dont actually jumpscare you at all, like mangle or the puppet. i think, although they are less important than the other jumpscares in other games, they aren't cheap and also make up for the completely non scary springtrap jumpscare.

"Time to play Efnef 3."
-Poofesure, 2023
I’m dying, he thought the statue was actual Freddy 😂
Poofesure: Plays audio
Bunny: Cool, thanks for the concert, now let me just pop out of this vent real quick and say hi
bruh i gotta get back on my poofesure grind, i used to just watch all of bros wii sports videos before school 😭 shit was amazing
everyone: fnaf
poof: “EHFNAHF”
I want to see Poofesure in the next FNAF movie. That would be the most interesting movie! Crowds would be wondering why he would be raging all the time but we would know! 😂
Im told that he was considered but it was decided that his screaming would be too scary for the audience
poor, seeing this after recording my OWN fnaf 3 video really touched me. glad i wasn’t the only one who suffered.
eff naff time!!
3:56 Bro was 10X louder than the jumpscare itself💀💀💀💀💀
I just love the way that he plays fnaf, kinda wanna see more videos of it
🤝
The audio is to keep them away because if they hear kids they will think here is a kid in a different room
23:09 Did anyone else see Springtrap on the right side on camera? Weird glitch
3:56 I laughed so hard a girl passing by my house looked at me through the window💀💀 (my room‘s window looks at the street)
Perfect video to see during the night 🎉
Outstanding J. Cole reference
Also love seeing you do fnaf. You should do more bro
Most surprising part of this vid is hearing him quote j cole. Legends, the both of you.
The FNAF pronunciation is killing me 😭
Can’t wait to see Poof play FNAF 4.
I feel like the map layout of FNAF 3 is one of the more eerie maps in FNAF
F naf 4 is about to be a rollercoaster when he releases that video.
