- I've been suspecting that I possible have some battery issues with my Jeep, so I bought a new battery charger to test it out and keep on hand in case I need to charge it in the future. So far I've been happy with how easy it is to use and would definitely recommend it if your are in the market for a new battery charger for you 6V or 12V lead acid, AGM, or lithium batteries. You can check it out using the link below. This was not a sponsored video, but sales through the link do support my channel.

Noco has an AmpHr max capacity on their chargers the 2 Amp chargers max battery AH rating is 40 the 5 Amp max battery capacity is 120AH keep that in mind when selecting a charger. As well Noco doesn't offer a variable (multi) Amperage unit which is really a shame as many people have varied sized batteries to maintain.
12.6v is pretty much fully charged.
AGM should Be 12.8-13.0
🔴Is it safe to charge the battery while stilll connected
Yes
Actually they recommend to disconnect the battery. I would definitely not have the battery connected if you use the repair mode.
it doesn't have float charge unlike ctek charger
It does. You can leave the charger connect the entire time. It will automatically go into maintenance mode!
Nice video...Anybody have any success charging / maintaining a Large LifePo4 (200ah) Battery's with one of these ??
How long did it take to charge from 12.6v to 12.8v and do you need to remove any surface charge from the battery (by turning on headlights for a couple of minutes) before using the charger? Also, after charging, can you drive the car immediately afterwards or wait?
How do you get it to charge 6 volts
Hold the mode button for 3 secs
Wow this is frustrating, how do I know if it's charging, mines did not do this.
What if it's regular 12v battery but I'm charging it with the 12 lithium mode?
If the battery is too low it won't charge. You have to enter forced mode. It will force a charge for about 5 mins and then charge normally. In mine, you hold mode button down for 5 seconds to start it.
I just bought this and it's crap the genius boost HD is the best hook it up charge it up and done
How long does it take to fully charge?
That would depend on how much charge was left in the battery. Mine was not dead and it took less than a half hour to go through the cycle and top it off. It could take several hours to charge a dead battery. Theoretically you would take the amp hours of the battery and divide by the amp rating of the charger to find the hours it would take to charge that battery if completely drained. It is a little easier to say that a 5amp charger should charge 5 times faster than a 1amp charger. So if charging time is a factor you may want to go with a charger with higher amps, but that does come with added cost.
@@Type5Reviews Is keeping the batter fully charged makes it last longer ? How often to use Noco Genius ?
@@babagandu I believe this unit keeps the battery at optimum level and prevent the battery from depleting and causing damage/corrosion to cells. I think some of them have a repair function too
How would I know I have 12V or 12 v agm battery? Thanks
If it’s an agm battery it will say so on the tag on the top. AGM stands for absorbent glass mat, so it could say that as well. Normal 12v batteries are lead acid, so you could look for that on the tag. You could always look up the model number of your battery online as well to identify if it’s an AGM or not.
