- Hello everyone welcome to my UA-cam Channel. I am Amber and a fluid artist from Dallas, Texas and I am excited to share my journey with you all.

Materials
Two 18x24 level 3 gallery wrapped canvas available at Michaels
Winsor & Newton Spray Varnish- High Gloss
Colors used for swiping:
Amsterdam Pearl Violet
Golden Interference Violet
TLP Sequins
Amsterdam Pearl Blus
Golden Interference Blue
TLP Velvet
Amsterdam Pearl Green
Golden Interference Green
TLP Pinot Gris
Amsterdam Pearl Yellow
TLP Brulee
How I mix pigments:
Squirt GAC 100 and wet your pigments
Add a scoop of regular gel gloss- any brand will do. For thicker consistency use heavy gel gloss and mix well

Base Paint- Artist Loft Soft Body- Black. Available at Michaels.
Pouring Medium
70% floetrol 30% gloss medium
Mix this at a 3:1 ratio- 3 parts pouring medium to 1 part paint or pigments mixture **no water added**
Cell Activator Recipe
3 parts Australian Floetrol (available at Fluid-art.co)
1 part paint

Thanks Michelle! I was surprised also since the Amsterdam pearls are kinda dull to me. I’m doing a big comparison video coming out this Thursday at 6 pm cst; between Golden Interference and Amsterdam pearls… The results were so different!

Beautiful swipes Amber, always love your pearl swipes!! All that color revealed on that black when it's dry is just gorgeous!! I think I can tell you got interference in there this time!! Love the look!!Is the lacing smaller without the house paint? What it looks like.
Thank you so much! Oh yes I used all interference paints and Piggy pigments. The house paint is thicker so it will have differenct looking cells especially when you spin them out. You get more lacing with the titanium white cell activator whether you're using a house paint base or acrylic paint base... Hope I am making sense...

These are absolutely gorgeous!! Your lacing is awesome and the colors are incredible. I have not used interference paints before, not have I used TLP. Is TLP pigments? If so, what do you mix them with? I have a ton of pigments from doing resin work.
Thank you so much!!! 🙏🥰 I will be doing a comparison video between Amsterdam Pearl paints and Golden interference paints this Thursday at 6 pm cst; if you’re interested. TLP’s are pigments and I mix them by squirting GAC 100 or JoSonja varnish and then I add a teaspoon of regular gloss gel. At that point you have acrylic paint. Mix this with any pouring medium of your choice… Any pigments work… I really hope this helps!

This is beautiful!! What ratio did you mix the 3 colours together to get your different interference paints? All about equal? Then your pouring medium?
Thank you! 🙏🥰💕❤️ The ratios were all the same for all the base paints and base paint. My pouring medium is 7 ounces US Floetrol mixed with 3 ounces of Golden Gloss Color Pouring Medium. You can use Liquitex Gloss Medium also. I then used 3 ounces of this pouring medium and mixed with 1 ounce paint and no water… I should have everything in the description box along with the colors I used also… I loved this diptych and was sad to see it go…
@@ambergoodwinart I can understand why, I don't sell my art, I just do it for myself right now, but it must be really hard with some pieces. Thank you for the detailed recipe! I guess I didn't understand it the first time, went back and got it the second! I was reading your bio and you said you are from Punjabi descent!! Do you know how to do the Bhangra Dance?? I love that dance!!! I am from Canada and there's a happy guy that goes around dancing all over the country doing that. I absolutely love that music!!!
Oh yes once you start selling it will be hard to part lol! And I always make a painting with no intention to sell… It just makes your painting better…
Oh you know I know some Bhangra lol!!! It’s such an intense dance form!!! The Bollywood Bhangra is kinda toned down but intense none the less. It’s a great workout! Canada does have a large population of Punjabis!! I need to visit again! I loved the diversity there!!!
@@ambergoodwinart Yes, I am outside of Vancouver. I love the food and the culture and the Bhangra!!! They even had that guy, his name escapes me, at a Canucks hockey game!! He always has such a big smile on his face. Yes, I love that about our country too! They probably won't be playing any Bollywood music, but I'll try to dance that with any music haha. Yes very intense for sure!

What was your ratio of pigments to pearl paints? 50/50?
Hi Kathy! I used 1 ounce of paint to 5 parts of my pouring medium. I used 0.75 ounces of Pearl paints and 0.25 ounces of my pigments… I did mix them with GAC 100 which is a binder then mixed with a scoop of gel gloss. I hope this helps!!!

@@kathyziegenmier4009 no that is not a pouring medium. That is how you mix pigments to make paint and then you mix them with whatever pouring medium you want.
