The selective service is still basically the draft people. Once a major war affair involves the U.S, young men who are mandated to enroll in the selective service will be selected on a randomized system; but the House has the authority to reinstate the draft if a major war were to surface. Judging by how everything is looking over in the East and the rising tensions with Gaza, Israel; Russia and Ukraine, it would be wise to take precaution to this idea.
The draft is an obvious violation of the 13th Amendment.
