Boy John that looked so yummy. I may need to get myself the big easy. Looks pretty simple to use 👍😎👊
I would just use a larger tin pan instead of the the pan and you don’t have to dump it twice . I like the spray on basket too. Good instruction.
I just picked one at my local Lowe’s on clearance only paid $51 can’t wait to use it
score!
looks good
Delish!!
John please try a brisket in here🤔
It is an amazing turkey cooking machine. You don’t have to keep it in the attic, it can cook so much more than turkeys.
I enjoyed this video.
Your weather machine said it was December fourth? It’s still October. Weather is still in the upper 80°s where I live.
I took this video last season to post this year. ;) I try to do a video of each years cook.
@@JohnVHLife I thought so! Just letting you know I was paying close attention.
Good eye!
Hello I enjoyed your video, You mentioned you brine your turkey before hand. Are you able to dry brine a store bought turkey that says pre-brine on it I'm worried about the amount of salt and have you ever injected that butter mixture before?
We did this time, we dont normally. Yes, you can simply rub seasoning on the outside if you like, or do the butter under the skin as I show as well. There is no wrong way!
We just got the Big Easy. I just watched one of your other Turkey videos and you use a wired thermometer. Is this one easier to use? Thanks for these videos.
To be honest, I feel it gets hot and gives a false reading if left in there. I tend to double check it with an instant one now to make sure its really what it says it is.
How do you make the gravy from the drippings?
Have to google that one, my wife makes it, not me.
I use those drippins to cover the meat when i put it in ziplock bags. It encases it it that fat. And avoids freezer burn. ..turkey can be reheated just by putting the bag in boiling water. Juicy awesome. Fresh turkey!! I like to cook a big bird. Lol
Interesting idea, Im assuming you boil the drippings so they are edible, first.
@JohnVHLife yes sir. Boil the drippings ,strain em and then yout ready. I wouldn't recomend just dumping the "raw" dripings on anything lol
On my Big Easy the legs and thighs are around 150 when the breast hits 165. Have you ever had that problem. Any tips?
I just cook it until the breast is 165. I don’t check other spots. You would think those spots would be hotter than the breast?
How long per pound?
Till it’s 165 in the breast. Approx 11min per pound.
Is the butter certified butter?
A board of dairy cattle have certified the butter.
Turkey only ? Could this thing also fry potatoes / french fries or pizza ?
You bet
how long do cook a 16 lbs turkey
took me 2hrs and 45 min
Roughly 10 min per lb
Or 170 degrees
@@DannyH2912 thanks
shes badaxe
Wow, you got a 22 lb. turkey in a 16 lb. capacity air fryer lol...gg !!
Yep, 24 is the biggest Ive fit, I have a few videos of it. works perfectly!
@@JohnVHLife Very Nice!! On Thanksgiving this year, I bought a 20 lb turkey and then remembered the capacity on my air fryer...i took it back and exchanged the turkey for a 16 pounder. Maybe I should have just tried the 20 pounder ;) Thanks for the video, I loved it!!
@@Icyrails12 If it fits, it ships! haha. No fear on turkey size, it can be fun to get them out of the basket sometimes, so coat it well with oil!
@@JohnVHLifemine is 26, im scared😢
@@andrecollins69 not a problem. Just cook till done
Not good for kitty
17pp and that's all they ate ? Loll they didn't like it lol.
We had a ton of other food also, not everyone eats 1lb of turkey per sitting.
You're a miserable little ant, enjoy that solo Thanksgiving.
