You rock michael. We never had the opportunity to look inside JTR (Jeff's) production facility until now. But you did it. Now, after looking at the components Jeff uses (the Crossover especially) for his products, we know what Quality products look like. I had no idea the mid/high-frequency driver itself in the "R" series speakers cost $900 EACH. That's insane, but it shows the true quality that goes into these speakers. Those drivers are made in Germany, to 0.02% tolerances... pretty amazing. That is truly ultra-high end. The cross overs shown are massive, and probably similarly expensive. Those are just 2 of the components that goes into each speaker, not including the expensive Baltic Birch, high-end wiring, high end insulation, high-end binding posts, etc. There are no holds barred here. Even if you were to try to manufacture something similar to these yourself at home (which would likely turn out poorly), using the same raw components, it would still be a very expensive endeavor! Janitor... Haahaa... Jeff seems really down to earth! Wow this was really cool, Thanks to our kind host (Mr Youthman) for putting this together! JTR has a solid rep in audio circles and the reason is obvious! Hey Youthman, you must move iron cuz you were moving that huge sub with ease 😉
I can't believe it's been 3 years since this video came out. I was excited when watching it the first time back then becuase I had 4 HT-110SLs ordered and due soon and they shipped very shortly after this video posted so it's a good chance those are my speakers getting built. I now have two of the 215RT's, a 215RM, and a Captivator RS2 on order, my 3rd JTR speaker order, they're VERY good speakers.

Amazing Setup!!!! Seeing behind the scenes really gives you a great idea of the quality of jtr speakers. 2 thing that stood out the most is the compression drivers and the crossovers he has built. You can tell both are very high end. Like how he has the tweeter and mid-range set up so the are in sync!!! Very Sweet!!
I would love to be able to afford these speakers one day, they are pricey, but they back it up with quality cabinets speakers/woofers and immaculate crossovers!
Love the video! I’m a huge fan of JTR and use dual Captivator 1400’s in my dedicated space. Jeff was really nice to deal with back on 2017 when i got them. Before JTR I was never satisfied with the bass output from other brands in my space and went thru new subs every 6-12 months. I use JBL PRO CINEMA mains and surrounds and needed subwoofers that could keep with them when I got heavy handed with the volume. My JTRs can do that for me.
Yep. Open up a pair of Klipsches and you'll be disappointed to find an essentially empty box and a cheap crossover network. It seems like Jeff is taking what Klipsch SHOULD have evolved into and making it into a reality. And this is coming from someone who has owned many Klipsch over the years. Seeing what Jeff is doing with these speakers makes me realize how much other manufacturers cheap out.
Awsome video, all those JTR speakers in one place. I would love to have home theater setup! And I grew up not to far from JTR so would like to support local business. One day I will be placing my order. I have SVS and love them but would really like to test out the sealed subs. With other brands i felt i had to go ported to reach lower frequency. Thank for another great video!
Veery cool video. JTR is basically this small family like company which I really like. Totally will make a purchase now seeing that it's not some corporate overlords.
@@YouthmanIt's actually amazing to hear it man. Full support is deserved for what they do. I never heard the JTR system, I'm in the EU, and it's very expensive to get their products in here but damn, from you, everyone else, all the positives.
I'm definitely going to be in the market for these. The only thing I would like to see different is the aesthetics of the woofer. I love the flat look of a SVS or JL. I like to run without grilles, so just want something a bit more modern looking.
Definitely not a "fancy" looking speaker or woofer. Jeff is mostly focused on performance with very simple aesthetics. He is able to do custom finishes for an additional fee.
Is this place in Milwaukee? Damn I lived in Milwaukee for 37 years and never knew about these subs until yesterday when looking to replace my older SVS sub. I was there 2 weeks ago had I known. Damn
Always wondered what JTR home base looked like, super cool. Now take us on a video tour of Tekton's facility, that place seems very secretive for some reason XD
Hahaha That was absolutely hilarious. I just didn’t know what his official title was you know is it owner, is it CEO, is it president and then he busted out with janitor LOL. I thought it was hilarious. Jeff pretty much does everything at the company from sales, to engineering the products, to assembly, to receiving, shipping, to packing and even janitorial services LOL
Curious Michael are you going to get there speakers to for review nemesis 215rm I think that'll be the speaker to go with the Subs you have of jtr and if you do got them make sure you invite me over I want to hear what they sound like in person that would probably be the set to have in your theater room
I would like to get an LCR in to see how they compare to my LaScalas. Now that I have heard them, I think I already know the answer. I was thinking he had a 212RM but maybe that’s the 212RT.
Good video nice to see inside part get more confidence. JTR should try some smaller subs cab too instead of all mini fridge type what about amps to drive these monsters
JTR RS2’s. They have more output than I can ever utilize. Sealed prevents any port chuffing. And they are flat down to 5Hz in my room. If I had the space, maybe I would go with dual Captivator 4000ULF (ported version of the RS2’s).
So I have a question. I currently own a pair of klipsch "the sixes" paired with a 12" klipsch reference sub I listen to 90% music 10% movies. I'm in the process of upgrading. I love a huge wide sound stage, should I stick to a 2 channel with a sub or a left center right with a sub. I'm not looking into rear speakers just a large seamless sound stage for music. What do you recommend??
Our bookshelves have been optimized for use with subwoofers. The Noesis 210RT is our smallest floor standing speaker which digs down to around 27hz in room.
JTR Speakers I”m looking into using your 3-way monitors on top of 2 of your subs up front, the sealed sub with short depth such as Captivator RS2”s. Which would integrate the best /smoothest for home theater? I would be considering either the 210RM, 212 HTR, or 215 RM, 3 of them placed LCR on top of he RS2’s (on their side) up front. Seems the 215RM might be overkill with sub and the 210RM about ideal? My room is a bit larger than average, about 7000 cf / 650 sqft, and about 19 ft to prime listening position, another row behind. Thanks!

Hey Youthman, On the JTR website it shows both versions of the Slanted Speakers as being discontinued... I don't remember hearing that on the video....
The Single 8HT and Single 8HT-LP have been replaced with the Noesis 110HT. The Slanted 8HT and Slanted 8HT-LP have been replaced with the Noesis 110HT-SL. The 110s are slightly larger but offer higher performance.

Before JTR I was never satisfied with the bass output from other brands in my space and went thru new subs every 6-12 months. I use JBL PRO CINEMA mains and surrounds and needed subwoofers that could keep with them when I got heavy handed with the volume. My JTRs can do that for me.
I got 4 total Caps now and JTR 212 mains.
@jarodreddig63 as the kids say, No Cap 🧢
@@Youthman hahaha no lie indeed! That’s what no cap means right? Lol
@jarodreddig63 that is correct
@@Youthman 👌
This is pretty close to my neck of the woods and I’ve actually been to their headquarters a couple of times for open houses!
Awesome!
Yes , jeff and his team are great!
Very nice sound system thanks
Great video. I am working on joining the JTR club with a 2400
Amazing!
This video proved to me that jtr might be very very expensive but you truly get what you pay for.
I’m online from the Netherlands👊🏻 I hope the Corona doesn’t influence the making of these super Subs
It has been effecting a lot of companies
Are they shipping outside u.s.? Thanks for this tour.
Yes, email JTR for info.
My Klipsch 650's goin on sale to buy JTR'S! Great Video! Great Tour.
Wow, the president is young.
Does Jeff have any future plans to do a 21" sub? Any other new products coming down the pipe?
New products yes. Not aware of a 21” in the works
Thank you Vince
More JTR content Plz love it !!!!!!!!
Thanks Mike. I have a 9.1.4 JTR Home Theater Tour that will go live tomorrow at 6PM EST!
Veery cool video. JTR is basically this small family like company which I really like. Totally will make a purchase now seeing that it's not some corporate overlords.
Yup, it’s basically Jeff (owner), Tony (sales and support) and one or possibly two employees to help assemble, pack and ship products.
Wow .. beautiful
I’m about to jump on the jtr wagon have psa speakers right now and gonna look into switching to jtr
Is this place in Milwaukee? Damn I lived in Milwaukee for 37 years and never knew about these subs until yesterday when looking to replace my older SVS sub. I was there 2 weeks ago had I known. Damn
I don't think I've ever heard anyone say, "10 Hert content." :)
Great tour!
Thank you
Always wondered what JTR home base looked like, super cool. Now take us on a video tour of Tekton's facility, that place seems very secretive for some reason XD
YM: We're gonna be meeting the owner and the......oh gosh what do you call yourself?
Jeff: Janitor?
YM: Noooooo
🤣🤣🤣
Hahaha That was absolutely hilarious. I just didn’t know what his official title was you know is it owner, is it CEO, is it president and then he busted out with janitor LOL. I thought it was hilarious. Jeff pretty much does everything at the company from sales, to engineering the products, to assembly, to receiving, shipping, to packing and even janitorial services LOL
Very nice toys
I know what I'm doing for lunch : )
How was your lunch?
@@Youthman Fantasic! Thank you
Curious Michael are you going to get there speakers to for review nemesis 215rm I think that'll be the speaker to go with the Subs you have of jtr and if you do got them make sure you invite me over I want to hear what they sound like in person that would probably be the set to have in your theater room
I would like to get an LCR in to see how they compare to my LaScalas. Now that I have heard them, I think I already know the answer.
I was thinking he had a 212RM but maybe that’s the 212RT.
Beefy looking subs . Impressive stuff
Can’t wait for the day that you end up switching all of your speakers to JTR. Mark my words, that day will come..lol
The force is strong...
JTR the best!
Youthman, you have added a slew of new JTR/RTJ customers.
I’m always glad to help bring brand awareness to products and brands that I believe in
Youthman how do Jeff's subs compare to Rel in general and for 2 channel audio ?
Good video nice to see inside part get more confidence. JTR should try some smaller subs cab too instead of all mini fridge type what about amps to drive these monsters
I don’t think I recall seeing any mini fridge. Most of them were full size units LOL
Does Jeff have a separate assembly area for his RTJ speakers? His Big Super Towers with 18 inch subwoofers.
They are all assembled in the same place. Since filming this video, he has moved his headquarters to North Carolina.
Loved it
Great vid, drool worthy product
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed the video
Awesome. Hey that driver that you held up to your waist, was that the 18" or 15" home theater driver?
If I remember correctly, that was the 18
@@Youthman if you were to magically start all over again, what sub (make/model) would you choose and why?
JTR RS2’s. They have more output than I can ever utilize. Sealed prevents any port chuffing. And they are flat down to 5Hz in my room.
If I had the space, maybe I would go with dual Captivator 4000ULF (ported version of the RS2’s).
@@Youthman cool. I was thinking about going with a cap 2400. Seems to be the best bang for the buck.
I believe Jeff said it’s his best seller.
@Youthman great job like always & by any chance did you get a discount code for us? I have my eye on 2 that I like. lol ;-)
Haha unfortunately Jeff has ver little markup so I was not given any discount codes.
Youthman thanks anyway keep up the great job!😎👍🏻
very cool video!
Glad you enjoyed it
I found my next subwoofer's
Do they sell any lightly damaged products? If so how do you get that?
Youthman, you should explore Bose Corp as well.Next video please.
Nice.
Do the subs have rubber or foam surrounds?
Such a large surplus of subs a boxes why so long to make em still waiting on my 2400
So I have a question. I currently own a pair of klipsch "the sixes" paired with a 12" klipsch reference sub
I listen to 90% music 10% movies.
Thanks!
@@pljmbdavis I really appreicate your interest in JTR speakers. Please send us an email and we can answer all your questions and put together quotes for you.
Why the lack of bracing? Use cheaper plywood for bracing.
Hey Youthman,
On the JTR website it shows both versions of the Slanted Speakers as being discontinued... I don't remember hearing that on the video....
Hey Michael I know that Jeff is in the process of redesigning his website. I’ll see if I can find out and let you know
The Single 8HT and Single 8HT-LP have been replaced with the Noesis 110HT. The Slanted 8HT and Slanted 8HT-LP have been replaced with the Noesis 110HT-SL. The 110s are slightly larger but offer higher performance.
@@JTRspeakers Got it! Thank you...
