Halsey has so much wisdom for her 21 years. I know she said she doesn't feel entirely comfortable giving advice because she is still young, but all of the advice she does give is so sound. Like her advice on having the mentality of "what can you offer me? because I know what I have", that's such a brilliant thing to say. There are so many people who strive to impress others and think they have to "prove themselves" to get anywhere. If you think the way Halsey does then you'll always know you're special. I also love how she thinks of criticism, she's accepted that it's a fact of life and doesn't get surprised when people criticize her, although she hasn't always handled it in the best ways, that's still inspirational. Not to mention her views on body image and sexuality when it comes to women. She also has such a way of connecting with her fans, like when she got that matchstick tattoo with 3 lucky fans. What other artist has gotten a matching tattoo with their fans? We clearly mean so much to her. We'll have to get on that fan name.
I don’t think people give Halsey enough credit for how smart she is. People constantly try to discredit and undermine her by saying she’s just some vapid pop singer but you can tell from how she speaks and explains her work that she’s an extremely smart and switched on person. Plus, she seems like such a kind person and hardworking. I really respect her for that.
I find it funny how so many people hate Halsey and their reasoning is "because she treats her fans like shit" I have actually heard that a lot. And i believed it cause its the only thing i heard about her. And then i actually did my own reasearch and watched interviews and videos of her interacting with fans, and she is HONESTLY the most GENUINE human i have ever seen. Like, no words can describe how pure and sweet she is. She treats her fans like actual human beings and like they are all close friends she has known forever. Its incredibly admirable! Just goes to show, do your own personal research before you pass judgement and believe the first thing you hear.
