I sort of hoped that the more often you upgrade a skull the higher chance you'll be able to find the upgraded forms naturally.
Yeah, that would have been a great idea! But no, you can only ever find the lowest-level version of a skull.
See now THAT would've made me pick the game back up again but it's so fucking hard

honestly wished the base skul got an upgrade. after at least completeing a full run with the skull on you you may upgrade him for more fragments than usual for his own line
They kinda added that for fully completing black mirror.

seriously man, youre doing gods work, you cant find any of the looks of upgraded skulls on the wiki, thanks alot! The archer looks so cool i have to give him a second guess, and the upgraded skills actually seeing them makes upgrading low tier skulls seem so worth it
Yeah, the only Legendary skull that I didn't find useful at all was the shield!

@@freddonico He's decent as a support character so you can jump in, use his powerful attacks, and then swap back to a faster character.
@@HOGuru thats funny, my first clear is actually using shield skull with fairy build, just spam shield non-stop and focus on dodging and surviving, let the fairy do all the dmg

Yeah, there aren't any new challenges after beating the story, which is a bit of a letdown.

Ghost rider back then in alpha quite literally was the ghost rider and not the current one.

so question if anyone knows the answer to it, when i do the legendary transformation its purple, and the light beams are purple but every video ive seen the webs and light rays are white, why?
I think the pre-release beams were white, and they changed it to purple when it came out. If you check my video all of the beams are white except for the last one, Predator, which I recorded after the release day!

dude the only reason i love this game is cause it reminds me so much of maplestory! Especially the thief class making money explode, the developer definitely took inspiration from the game

Per run! You have to collect bones every time!

Mumy is a reference to metal slug it's a game and in their if you fought mumys and get killed by them you transform into well that a Mumy
How do you save progress? I always start out at the very beginning
It's a roguelike, so you have to restart every time you die. But you can use the dark quartz you find to make you stronger each time you start over!

Why do you only show some abilities on some of the skuls?
Because each skull has a bunch of abilities but only 2 are randomly selected, so because I couldn't be comprehensive without like 10 hours of recording, I decided to just show off a couple of cool powers in a video that's just about the evolutions.

Not guaranteed, but the Archlich has a bunch of screen-clearing attacks, although its defense sucks.
@@HOGuru what about the ghoul? There’s a guy I know who uses the ghoul build and can kill bosses with one or two hits. Is that possible?

The one evolution, I don't like, is the mummy. You'd think it would look more pharaoh, the more it evolved.
First evolution goes from a pistol to a AK-47 the evolution is more gun
It's a reference to Metal Slug, so they want to keep it looking like those mummies.

What must first fokus magic or physic?
It depends which kind of skull you prefer to play as. When I first beat the game I was using the skeleton swordsman, so I grabbed every physical upgrade I could find. The next time I lucked into getting the archlich early on, so I focused on magic!

How get more bones?
When you get a choice between doors at the end of a level, you can go for money, an item, or a new skull - go for the skull and don't take it, and you should be able to convert it into bones if I recall correctly!

Sadly no. Also you can't keep bones between runs, so you have to start from scratch every time!
@@HOGuruhonestly that just boggles my mind. Why can’t you keep bones? Like the more you play the easier you would be able to get through the first act or more and just get back to the place you died to, but no, for some reason.

The mummy is so boring, they could've at least changed the texture a little more than that
Yeah, levelling up just gives you new weapons - that said, I guess they wanted it to stay looking as close to the Metal Slug mummy as possible.

If you could just start out as the cool characters then this would be awesome but way too much of a mindless grind to not even get the character you want. Ruined potential tbh.
On the upside, you can unlock the ability to swap out your starting skulls, increasing your chances!

@@punani_slayer4209 not the best, but still pretty fun, also consider that most of the modern roguelike out there have been out for years and had many many expansions, so give it time :)
