  • I walk through the upcoming NYC waterfront area of Greenpoint, Brooklyn. This waterfront used to be all industrial with a small playground. Now, tall skyscrapers are being constructed, and a quiet waterfront path with stunning views of Manhattan and Queens are available.

    This is a far cry from the Greenpoint I once knew! Great that they are cleaning the Newtown Creek. Thanks for taking us to the lesser-known areas of this great city! New York City continues to grow and evolve.

    The scale of these new developments is absolutely egregious. Private developers are maxing out their sites with gargantuan towers, little of which will be affordable housing, and are visually and physically cutting off the neighborhood of green point from the water. I agree that this waterfront zone needs to be developed, so good on nyc for doing so, but the scale is much too drastic and there hasn’t been a comprehensive effort to knit the existing green point residential areas with the riverfront. Also, there is little to no public transport access in green point so this is going to cause a transit catastrophe. Green point will be very congested with this giant influx of people

    ActionKid, I need to ask you this question and hope you will respond? I have watched so many of your videos until the very end which shows a red line under the video that I have watched but now the red line on so many videos are no longer there, I don't understand why there is no red line that shows I've watched your video? Why and is there anything I can do? Sorry, hope you understand my question?

    • @deliveryboy90
      @deliveryboy90 3 роки тому +2

      Hey Rosa that red line is a progress bar, from where you left off, once you finish a video fully, it goes away, because the video is complete.
      It's a youtube thing, and action kid doesn't have control over it, only youtube does.
      From what I understand there's no "previously watched" icon that youtube supports at this time.

    • @rosaannarilli4905
      @rosaannarilli4905 3 роки тому

      @@deliveryboy90 I thought that when you finished watching the video the red line stays on all the time because a lot of the other videos still have the red line from long ago. I know that Actionkid doesn't control it, I was wondering if he knew why. Thank you so much for responding to me I really appreciate it!

      As these towers were planned a long time ago, will be interesting to see how they are marketed as far as pricing. As there is currently a glut of luxury apartments available - many with views and other amenities - there will be alot of competition for prospective tenants with $$$$$.
