I'm glad that I found this review (I must have missed it 1st time around) I 've been looking at these on Amazon UK and wondering about the quality of them, because much as I love my Pica, they are so pricey if you want a set with different coloured leads. Since you made this video, they are now available in sets of five or six different coloured pencils and assorted matching lead colours for about £22 - £25. I'm going to buy a set to use at my workbench for laying out...as you get older and your eyesight goes to pot, it really helps to use multiple bright colours, so that you can clearly see what the Hell you are doing!👍

These would be absolutely perfect for that purpose. You really can't go wrong at that price.

These are great, I just got the set of three for $10.00. Been bulding house for over 25 years and wish I knew about them sooner..

Likewise, such a simple tool that's used so much throughout the day. It's a real game changer compared to an old school pencil.

The screw in sharpener is the reason I like this pencil over the Pica…
I keep my pencil on a retractable tether… Pika has it sharpener in the sheath which won’t work on a retractable tether…
And the fact that NicPro’s sharpener is screwed in makes it more secure for me… I am a frame/trim carpenter

That's great to hear. I personally find the setup really good when using it on a work bench and taking it out of a pot of pens- no looking for the sheath.

This was the comment I was hoping for. I went to using retractable and will never go back, I've even found myself reaching for a pencil on my chest when I don't have my work belt on lol.

What do you think after a year on these compared to pica? Thanks

My nikpro pencils are still going strong, but the pica will always be superior within my tool box.

If it did not screw in … how long do you think before you loose it ?

Well at least with the threaded sharpener, you have a chance at keeping it.

Agreed, it's good for security. I sharpen my pencils a lot so all those turns get old quickly. It really just depends what type of work I'm doing as to whether it bothers me or not. I'll be putting them to use on my work bench where they will be a great addition.👍

My appologies guys, I should have mentioned that the set is 12.99 US dollars on the US Amazon site. They do ship to the UK but it works out a bit more pricey.
