Just bought a camouflage grizzly 450 today from the old man down the street. It's only got 25hr on it and has never seen mud and been garage kept since new in 08. I'm really happy with it for $4,000 considering I was about to buy a brute force 300 except it wasn't 4wd
It’s 2024 I am in search of a small size 4x4 atv, I’ve owned a grizzly 350 and loved it but no one makes a mid size atv besides cf, and the king quad 400 is outdated, any suggestions? New gen Kodiak 450 is very large compared to the old ones why,?
I have the base model 2011 kodiak, it is very tipsy stock. I threw on some spacers, mudlite xl's and an hmf exhaust.. This is a perfect combo of accesories
It's not the most powerful in it's class, but it's the lightest. It has a bulletproof engine combined with Yamaha's best in class CVT. I have an '06 Wolverine 450, with the same engine. I can attest to how durable/reliable this engine is. After I bought the Wolverine new, the first week I had a stick puncture the lower radiator hose. I managed to ride the 5 or so miles back with no coolant and no damage to the engine. And this was during the break-in period. I've NEVER had any trouble with it.
My buddy got one of these but an older one. We ragged the shit out of it for years flipped it probably 100 times mudded and everything. Last time we were riding we found out how well it jumped. We got literally 6 feet of air at least every time and broke the right rear hub. It's still rideable just one or three wheel drive. Lol
Ive owned 4 yamaha machines and never had an issue with any of them my 2014 grizzly 450 has 1800 miles just replaced the spark plug for the first time and never changed the battery. In low range it pulls like a tank. Just wish it had more horsepower for fast paced riding
I own a 2006 Kodiak 450 with no EPS and I love it because it allows me to go 45 miles an hour without being scared of giving it to much steering input and resulting in it putting me in a ditch. but i do understand why people may like eps
I got a 2012 Kodiak se put 1700 kilometer`s on it in a year. Yes it was my only off road machine I had for last year but this year I got a new dirt bike but I also do plane on in 3 year selling that dirt bike and mod that kodiak out with maybe rims, tires, exhaust maybe even a 2 inch lift or instead a snorkel kit just in case thing get to radical I will be ready and who knows maybe even some aluminum skid plates.
@JaykCovers i have the one on here and my cousin owns 2 of the 350, mine is a little bigger and much more powerful and the ride is alot better with the fully independent suspension, but his quads are simpler and have been pretty much trouble free in the 6 years or so hes owned and they are farm quads which means they get the crap beat out of them daily, i love the trans never had any problems with the belt, if ya want the 350 i would recommend the the 4x4 independent suspension one
Dichotomy.....I like my artic cat's hydraulic brakes because there's no cable to stretch so the feel is consistent - however, I have dealt with seized calipers and they're not fun .
i am preparing to buy a grizzly 450... and i would really like a video that would show me how to make, my grizzly have a lil more horse power and better performance
@galligos11 You put Honda 5th in that list though?? Anyway it goes 1. Honda; 2. Yamaha; 3. Kawasaki; 4. Suzuki; 5. Can-Am; 6. Polaris (junk)... I have 2 4-wheelers, a 2003 Honda rancher ES 2WD, and a 2005 Honda rancher ES 4WD. Both are strong as an ox and absolutely bulletproof. Really, the 2wd will do anything the 4wd will except excessive mud.
this atv is very reliable but my 14th birthday is in two months thats when i am getting the can am DS 250 i will make that money for plowing drive ways.

The 450 is a masterpiece. Any one calling it a piece of junk hasn't owned one.
Any chance you guys can test and review the CFMoto Z6 - Z8 UTVs? Im thinking of getting one for the price but dont have any input on them.
Don't. CHINA Junk,

Could anyone please tell me what are the dementions of this ATV? I`d be glad.
So does it have a rear differential yet

@plewisr i bought one of these in 2010 a non EPS model for $6300, i live in the US [Indiana]
MSRP $7,300 for NON EPS 460 in Canada now. About time too.
Dichotomy.....I like my artic cat's hydraulic brakes because there's no cable to stretch so the feel is consistent - however, I have dealt with seized calipers and they're not fun .
Yamaha machines rule the industry
does it have ajustable shocks?
Why is is called the Kodiak in Canada and Grizzly in the USA???
I keep seeing them with non ajustable shocks in dealerships...
i am preparing to buy a grizzly 450... and i would really like a video that would show me how to make, my grizzly have a lil more horse power and better performance
