Great treatment in this video as always. Honestly Tim makes these sorts of eval’s tough, because so much of the superlative tone comes right out of Tim’s touch, and whole signal path wisdom. But yeah, this Epiphone guitar has a lively, fat, welcoming tone for sure; I regularly play my Epi 339 and love that too, and I would take one of these sparkle rigs any day!

All the cool sounds really did go well with this song. The setup sounded great. Very clever and entertaining. That guitar is really nice.
Love it! This axe actually opens up on stage in a really cool way! Used one for years on tour. Might be a little tricky in a small (loud) club. But this guitar is definitely a sleeper!

You're so in touch with your guitars when you play Tim, it's wonderful to watch. You move with them... even to the point of changing your facial expressions each time you switch pickups. Your neck face comes with that Stevie Wonder-esc smile when your feeling the bass in your back. And then the bridge face could scare a Texas farmer off his land.

Echoing so many other comments, this video (like all the others) provides such great information -- about the guitar of course, but also ways to play around chord progressions (and those stretch piano chords!). Thanks for the video (am loving the Masterclass).

I play a few Gretches. My favorite being the 64 Chet Atkins CG we have here. Tim, you make any guitar sound great. And this model is certainly a nice, well-rounded guitar for any type of music.

@Tim Pierce Guitar I absolutely love all of the tones you got on here! I have a 2006 Joe Pass Emperor II that got me through jazz school and has been my everyday unplugged strumming guitar for accompanying myself in my elementary school classes for 10 years. I keep D’Addario flatwounds .11-.50 and that prevents me from the bends I’d play on my other guitars, but you have me reconsidering using the Emperor with my AC30 and full stage rig.

Tim you have done more for my playing than anything or anyone else, my main man James is close 2nd and I mean real close because we actually hang out and play music together but I think of you as a role model and what I aspire to become as a player and musician. That is a super cool instrument. My New AmPro ll Tele Deluxe has become my number 1 love the humbuckers and the split switch to single coil.Really covers some sonic ground.You are always playing with the coolest 80's early 90's tunes I remember so fondly.Keep it up Tim you are the tops.

My first guitar was an Epiphone Dot Studio, still have it, still love playing high gain and metal on it, sounds so warm and phat, feedback is fun to control and play with, mind you I'm not playing on stages so 🤷♂️😅

Sade Adu, a beautiful, great sounding Epiphone, Tim Pierce playing, best amps, effects, recording and production equipment in the world, this got to be as close to heaven on earth that a musician can get.
The epiphone Emperor is IMO one of the best looking guitars ever, looks great on every color, but my favorite is the black body with golden hardware, and it sounds amazing as well.

Beautiful git-fiddle! Love the sparkle (started as a drummer). Thank you for demo'ing its versatility. I've been considering a Gretsch or Epiphone, I think this video pushed my decision. It'll be my first hollow/semi-hollow (have a CE24 and LP).
Try the Epiphone Wildkat - I sold a Gretsch Tennessee Rose I just couldn't fall in love with, had the wiring harness and pots replaced, the pickups rewound and potted, a roller bridge installed - and still had a thousand dollars left to stuff in my pocket. The body and neck are awesome in finish and feel, and if you make these inexpensive upgrades, you'll have a GREAT instrument at a bargain price...

That starting solo was simply perfect
Versatility is right, I have a 339 and am amazed of all the tones i can get using the push pull knobs, plus the ease of play, and comfortablility. I play this more than the Gibson Les Paul and Fender Strat. I have. Although there nice too.
Every time I look at Tim it gives me an extra motivation. After 50 years of not playing the guitar, I started again last year, and I am enjoying it again.

My girlfriend surprised me with one of these and it's amazing...quickly became my #1. Those pickups with the switching are way more dynamic than a PAF style.

I loved my cherry stained Swingster, but had to sell it for a car repair. The down position is parallel and the up position is humbucking, but both positions are both coils, I believe. The range of tones with one parallel and one humbucking and then playing with the volumes of each, was hours of fun! It just inspired me every time!

Hey Tim, the push /pulls turn the pickups from series to parallel as opposed to splitting the coils. It's really confusing but it does add some interesting tonal options mostly related to intensity and the level of darkness in the sound. I bought one of these as a result of watching your video so thank you because I absolutely love this guitar and I love your content. Thank you!

Love the PRS the look, the tone, absolutely amazing guitar's most definitely my personal favorite. The PRS works with any music genre, the sound the action phenomenal.
Man, I've been drooling over this model. I've always wanted a Gretsch, but my main live guitar is an '03 Joe Pass Emperor so this guitar itself would be just like nothing changed except I don't have to pick up my tele for the two songs I use IT on.
