How good is the app with android or is iPhone better as with most gimbals
My biggest issue with phone gimbals are always having to remove my phone case to use it. Has this fixed that problem?? Can it handle a bulky phone case?

Why aren't any of the youtubers using an android phone in the review? Android users are much more than IOS users, so is it just an assumption that content creators only use IOS?
Also, all 10+ videos that i have watched, till now, that say "Review" are only talking about the features and maybe just a few are actually talking about the limitations. I own the Insta360 one x2 and I was really looking forward to buying the Gimbal but I am really disappointed that it is more compatible with IOS and features are limited with Android.
And also, all these videos are sponsored.
Patiently waiting for actual reviews esp those that are paired with an android phone.
It's mad what's happening. I am kinda jealous of how easy stuff works with phones. I want to do all the tracking as simply with my a7iv and a gimbal but balancing and all the wires needed to get the raveneye etc working takes way longer to setup. It would be good to do a setup time comparison. It's getting more more tempting to just go phone, gimbal, wireless lav + drone and nothing else.
Why do people keep saying smartphone gimbal when it works at the maximum just with iPhone. Other phones are compatible at 50 percent and in some cases less. I wanted to get it to do a review in my channel but after seen all the reviews just with iPhone and ask in forums, it doesn't work 100 percent with s22 ultra or s23 ultra which are flagships, imagine with other phones

As beginner the best thing about my Flow is that I can do tracking in my favourite camera app using the Flow Live facility.
Every review I've seen is with an iphone. Someone needs to review it with an Android phone
Got mine on April 30th, left the next day for a week's holiday. Played with it in the plane. Excellent! Got in the shuttle to the resort and pulled it out of my pocket, knob in the middle of the smart wheel was sheared off...Still used it during my holidays as tracking is excellent. Does anybody knows if the knob can be unscrewed? As I said, it's sheared off but I could probably burn a slot in the base and unscrew it to make a replacement.

hello. does Insta360 Flow work with Samsung S23 Ultra?
It’s ironic that the Hohem M6 came out two weeks ago and NONE of the bigger name reviewers reviewed it. Yet Insta360 comes out with an inferior gimbal and ya all pop out of the woodwork!!! The M6 while not as compact as the Flow, tracks MUCH BETTER, and can do it in ANY camera app! I bought the M6 and it became my #1 over my OM6!!!

Only works well for iPhone users. Not so fun with Android users. Buyers beware!
Its like the Same as from dji, only small Things like Costum Grips, or the Touch Control, but the Rest is the Same, and the dji gimbal looks better
When you extend the selfie stick does this affect the gimbal balance at all?
It would have been interesting to see how smooth the footage was with a Smartphone that isn’t already perfect in stabilizing like the used iphone 14pro
True! The iphone 14pro smoothens movement already without any gimbal.
this video "not a review" :-) made my purchase a lot happier, kinda sad that a lot of youtuber kinda throwing bad reviews about the product. it's fine to mention the flaws, but they tend to forget about its advantages 😊

Will it balance the DJI mic?
You no longer make videos for your passion for making videos for UA-cam as you used to, but now you make videos only because you are paid to promote products "sponsored" (I am not against that), but now I see your videos as advertisements, nothing more
Have to agree here, skewing heavily to the sponsored content lately but in truth he's transitioning from UA-camr to filmmaker so I don't think we'll see much of the Matti of old.
The excessive amount of advertising on UA-cam through paid sponsors is a cause for concern as it creates an illusion of flawlessness for the product. Based on the numerous comments by users, many are deceived into believing that the product is of high quality and worth their purchase.
For £180, my expectation were set ver high… but looks like overall it works just like any other mobile gimbal made in 2022 isn’t? 🤔
I'm mostly curious how it'll work with Android given that is where DJI has fallen short in previous years.
Interesting that all the reviews only show it being used on an iPhone. Probably doesn't help they used a magnetic mount, on an iPhone the magnetometer is is right in the centre and shielded due to the magsafe setup, on Android phones they are unshielded and can be placed in different places on the phone. A strong magnet will effect this sensor which the phone uses to get direction information.

A quick question about the cold shoe mount - can you properly mount a Rode Video Mic Go II on it? Looking at the footage it seems that the angle might be weird (the mic would be directed sideways)?

I love the product, but more so the sentiment with the sub-theme. The tsunami hand gesture said it all. Someone on LinkedIn said to lean in, others say we are all becoming (if we chose) to be creative directors or operational types with AI. We cannot run away from it, nor can we we let go of the fear that AI is in the hands of corporations - T2. Who owns these multi-national enterprises. Live your life, make art, make money, add some boring businesses to one's portfolio, be kind and ask questions about the universe. Can everything be a coincidence. The world is changing rapidly. I agree on one hand filmmaking is becoming easier and more successful because of the technology advancing so much but on the other hand it's taking away from film schools and mentors and real professional filmmakers who really knows the intricacies of using skill to make a film rather than a program for a few hundred dollars that pretty much does 95% of the work for you.
Just a few decades ago, you would have to develop films in a chemistry lab, and editing them meant cutting the actual films and stitching two ends with a cellotape.

I've lost a job in the past due to AI replacing me. In the video home tour market. Not sure I'd say it's the best time 1:54 I've signed NDAs so that's really as much as I'm at liberty to say, but there's definitely a threat with AI coming on so heavy. I wonder if one day there will be job applications that have declarations saying, 'We hire AI' or 'We only hire humans' 10 years we will more than likely have the answers to these questions. I think AI is still a great thing for the industry though! I love being able to focus more of my energy on the story and less on the capturing of it. At the end of the day video is about connecting with the audience and how you do that will be what separates each of us as creators.
The tripod legs suck on this thing. It’s not if they will break it’s just a matter of when. Because of how flimsy the tripod is, when doing 360 videos you can see it shake while the camera swivels for each photo. Love your videos bro, but I wish you’d cover these things. As of right now I don’t think you can get replacement tripod legs when they break off. It’s my only true complaint about this gimbal. And it’s a major one.

Filmmaking may have gotten its walls and barriers down... But I will say as a learner rookie myself... Filmmaking is not easy... 😂 There is just so much that is not searchable and that you can just buy and use even if you had thousands of dollars and or learn from someone verbally. There's just so much to figure out and so much try fail and then find a solution to fix it. 😂😂😂 And I'm not even kidding I've self taught a lot of things including coding, designing etc etc... Making videos and editing them, understanding the tools, the environment, the story, the craft seems even bigger a learning curve from when I was starting it.
The thing is that it has never been more accessible as it is today.
As I never could imagine myself trying it out even because of the expensive stuff you would have to buy as someone who would just not know how to use them.

As a filmmaker myself, I'm very scared of where the industry is going 😂 the technology is making it so easy as you said. And when we get insane A.I. tools too, I'm thinking I might be doomed 😂
It will still come down to talent. I'm old enough to have had several $150k+ edit bays and typically $50k camera packages. The barrier-to-entry meant a lot less competition for those of us fortunate enough to build companies back in the previous century. Now people can blow away what we were doing with camera and laptop for under $5000 that we would have needed a few hundred thousand to pull off. The creative work is still what matters most, and what will continue to be the main differentiator. (BTW, I just watched your Split video. It's beautiful.)

But that’s just ChatGPT. There are now other, much more creative tools available
I was excited to use my Insta360 Flow and when I went to connect to the app, I wasn’t able to access it because I wouldn’t give permission to share my entire photo gallery with the app. Does anyone else find it problematic that you give up too much privacy to be able to use all the features that set this product apart from other gimbals? I don’t recall sharing my phone photo album when using the insta360 camera, why would I for a gimbal? Insta360 Flow isn’t user friendly unless you want to give up your phone’s contents.

I bought this to shoot 360 photos. I was so excited because iPhones have such a high resolution now that I was stoked to use a lightweight apparatus to shoot these. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT! Insta 360 scales down the iPhone photos and the result is a resolution that is only good for social media. What a disappointment from a company that has engineered pretty damn good resolution on their360 cameras!!!

Thanks for the video. After trying out the new 1.37 Kg Crane 4 and DJI RS3 Pro in order to get just a few quick video clips for my customer's need after shooting photo events on my heavy setup of A7RV & Tamron 35-150mm f/2.0-f/2.8 , I sent those gimbals back and got this Insta360 Flow to attach to my iPhone 13 Mini to get better automatic tracking and zooming ability and most likely using those money plus money saved from not needing to visit the chiropractor and masseuse every week due to holding a 2.5Kg gimbal setup too often to upgrade to the new upcoming iPhone 15 Pro in Sept. Great videos.
Something very wrong with that company-Ordered one, but they never would ship, but had no problem charging me on Pay Pal. Numerous chats and emails sent to customer support with no response. ZERO CUSTOMER SUPPORT from them. Strongly do NOT recommend this company!
