We are not professional mechanics. We like to make repairs ourselves where possible so we don't have to send to a repair shop. It's not just about saving cost. It also saves time delivering, waiting and collecting.

Hi Carl / Mike / Dagtail great video thanks, just wondering would you mind if we used a screenshot from this video for a listing on ebay we have for the right hand deck belt, finding it impossible to find a good photo of this RCK48 deck online to use to show the location of the right hand deck belt. Just helps customers who want to do the job themselves. I will credit you for the photo and can provide a link to your video. No worries if not mate thanks.

@PaddyConroy125 hi Paddy. No problem. You can do that. Send us a link to the listing when it's done, please

I got a Kubota G3hst from around 1986. Diesel 3 pot like yours. The deck would shred belts in 3 months on a 3 acre paddock. Started to do my head in as Kubota belts aren't cheap. In the end i removed all the tensioner pulleys where they sit on an axle and greased the axles. No problems since. I also changed the gearbox oil on my deck as it looked like something from the 80s lol.

I was 10 years old in 86 😁 You are definelty getting your moneys worth now. They do last a long time if you look after them and treat them well. Hopefully I'll get another 10 years

Great video. I was trying to work out how to do the top belt. Now I've got to get that spring on. Wish me luck!

Alright there was no chance of pulling a new spring with just bailer twine. I used wire and looped the other end to my crow bar and levered it on. Just put something between the crowbar and the back of the cutting deck.

Then I panicked when the hydraulics didn't come back down, tried to lift the deck into place and release the pin and pulled a muscle in my chest. Will teach me to watch the whole video in future. Thanks so much guys. Couldn't have done it with out you. 👍

Nice job lads. I don’t do repairs myself 😂 but you’re right it’s cheaper than a dealer visit.

Just curious, how do you like the GR2120 and how has it held up? I have a large residential property to maintain (2+ acres of lawn and and a 1500+ft asphalt driveway, all on a 10degree slope) and am strongly leaning towards this machine. It's obviously an expensive machine, but my I hope it will last 15+ years for cutting the lawn and scrape/snow blow the driveway. Just curious how many hours you put on the machine, how maintenance has been, would you recommend it, etc? Thanks, and I quite enjoy your videos!

I've done about 450 hours which is not much for a 10 year old mower. I really don't think you would get 15 years out of it if you are going to use for moving snow especially if any salt is involved but if you care for it well 15 years is possible. Keep it greased up and change the oil each season is the main things you need to do. All depends how you take care of it and not over work 👍

I’m glad I didn’t buy one of those, so many pulleys to replace and its a faff to replace the belt as well. I do most of my smaller repairs as well, as we use the stand on mower daily, and can’t afford it being at dealer/repair shop

Hi mate. Thanks for your comment. We have jobs we that we need to collect the cuttings and also handy for the leaves too. The stand on's looks great but I understand they don't collect? Probably be several seasons before the belts will need changing again. I would look at getting a stand on if we do more commercial work in the future. We can drop or collect with the gr2120
