    Great series of vids on the GR - watched them all. Got one of those and have already had glide-steer and a couple of rotor-clutch failures. Expensive fixes when the work is farmed out, but your videos have given me a good sense of what needs doing oneself and it isn't rocket science! That trans-axle "rebuild" seemed a bit of a rip-off though - most of the stuff they provide doesn't need replacing - though I suppose it's not worth the hassle to Kubota to go providing individual parts of a fairly complex assembly to the Great-unwashed. Nicely done.

    Thanks for the video! The front axle will only run one wheel at the time because it have a diff in it. Just block one front wheel and the other will turn. If the front would be diff locked like the back, you could not turn at all.

    Do you have a parts list for this job?

    I've enjoyed this series. Any chance you could divulge the part number for that transmission rebuild kit?

      I believe it is the Kubota Transmission Kit #K1254-95211

    Great video of the rebuild and any inherent problems in the process. I gotta say that tractor was beat when you got it. I have a 2100. It is nice to see just how tough they really are. If I have a transaxle problem I will surely refer to this vid series. I too have heard the problem was the bushing/bearing deal and the upgrades that were done in stages during mfg. But I think you hit the nail on the head with your model when you found the oil passage blocked with sealant. Hope you are able to turn that tractor around for a good price.

      I ended up keeping it. After the rebuild it is a workhorse!

    If you can get it mechanically sound then it is worth it to try to find a used hood that will fit on the machine. The hood may help cool the engine and protect it as well. Good luck mowing.

      it needs the hood to help keep the radiator clear if nothing else, I made a trashcan hood for mine, you can see it in the video I have on my channel about it

    Did you ever get the glide steer and 4wd to work properly?

    • @SmallEngineDIY
      @SmallEngineDIY  4 роки тому

      Yes, the glide steer is working great. I know the GR2100 was prone to break the cables, so I'll see how long it lasts. See the next video in this series to see how I'm stress testing it.

    Kubota gr 2120 and 2120 s failure Mowers Diesel why one the model 2120 classic with collector sistem is not built to collect the grass why between the grasscatcer and aluminum/steel acts as a mini crack that causes too much, I mean too much, grass to be lost. curve on mowerdeck have another problem is not built good refill always of grass why is build only collect and mow not wet grass but only dry grass
