I couldn't even bring myself to beat this game once so props to you for being able to play it enough to learn HOW to speedrun it.
+HadesImmortalArmy If you played the buggy release mess , use the Community Patch and Questpack , with those 2 things installed , I prefere this over the other entries in the franchise.
it was not the bugs that bugged me, it was the game itself.

The lack of combat depth was taken away by the Community patch , as humanoids actually have decent fighting AI , the difficulty is adjustable , the Story of the game was in no way bad , the graphics were decent , and the missing plotholes are filled by the Questpack.
Shotty The only things that Gothic 3 was missing was the Gothic 1, Gothic 2 / Night Of The Raven atmosphere and the difficulties weren't balanced enough. Though the better AI improved it quite a lot but not exactly. Now back to atmosphere. Gothic 3 didn't have the same feeling as the 2 previous games and the expansion pack. It was missing something from it but I can't explain it.
@@SouthiePlays It lacked plot, characters, important choices, sense of danger in the land of war and so on, and so on...

+Richard Varga Thx, but i'm not sure what you are talking about, I did not spend very much time with G3 (it is not my favourite Gothic), and this was never meant as glitched run. There may be a few things that can be counted as bug, but i did not look for bugs to use and i knew bugs that i ignored deliberately.
+TheWonderer do you reloaded the savegame before you opened a chest? The music glitched at this points.... do you wanted specific loot so you reload until you get the right things?

How do you one-shoted Rhobar?
GizerPlay Random multistrike, it happened from time to time and i could reproduce it in the run (usually Rhobar would have needed 3 strikes, same as Xardas and Zuben).
If there weren't for the cutting it would not only be a real speedrun, it would as well be trustful.

"Schnelldurchlauf" would be the best-sounding possibility but I think no one would really get what it's supposed to mean if it'd be in the title like that. Yes I know it's a pretty dumb trend to use english words in german but on the other hand it's better then speaking the "Korrekt-Einheitliches Reichsdeutsch" instead :D (sorry for my bad english and stuff)

Well that's impressive, although I'd rather enjoy playing the game as long as possible.
Schnelldurchlauf heißt zwar "speedrun", bezeichnet aber nicht einen Speedrun in dem Sinne des Videos, welches ein Eigenname ist und damit tatsächlich nicht so einfach übersetzbar.
Ein "Hot Dog" zum Beispiel lässt sich - nach deiner Logik - recht einfach als "heißer Hund" übersetzen, jedoch weiß niemand, was damit gemeint ist ohne den entsprechenden Kontext.
Da kennt sich ja mal jemand mit G3 aus ;)

this no actual speedrun, i did cheat in order to do it. u clearly see the video is cut multiple times, and u edited at least your character to be able to use the great lightning on lvl 1-3 ;)

This is a segmented run with the save/load-screens cut out, so of course there are cuts, which are usually quite obvious as the music is not the same when you save and reload.
And no, there are no edits, the run is consistent (at no time the hero has any items/skills/whatsoever, that were not acquired and shown in the earlier parts of the run), but the patch version is 1.12 (which was the newest patch when the run was done in January 2007), so a few things would not work with newer patches.

ok...HOW THE F.... u kiled the king with 1 lighting...cause im on lvl 60 and i stil can't kill him on 1 hit, also, how can u kill him and no one atacks u after?
cause after i kill him evry one atacks me....
Usually you would need 3 of those lightnings, the same as for Xardas or Zuben, but there seem to be kind of occasional "headshots", where it makes much more damage so that one hit is sufficient, as it happened in this run.
I was not attacked, because i lured him to a place without witnesses.
(All this is true for patch 1.12, difficulty easy, i don't know how much was changed in later patches).
man es is so schade, dass dieses spiel nix geworden is, ich hab so bock auf gothic aber ich will mir nich die mühe machen die alten dinger schon wieder rauszuholen.
Sturmtruppe1997 Mit dem Community Patch ist das Spiel durchaus genial und wenn man das Spiel bei Steam hat, muss man auch nix rauskramen, im Summer Sale werde ich es mir mal auch dort holen in der Universe Edition, ansonsten kostet es in anderen Shops auch nicht viel.
Aber der Inhalt des Spiels is so derp der Rotz, vorallem das Inderdlc.
Zum Glück war es nur eine eigenständige Erweiterung, das war echt sinnloser Schmarrn, bzw. Abzocke/verzweifelter Moneygrab seitens JoWood, einziger Erfolg ist wahrscheinlich, dass es das mitunter verbuggteste Game aller Zeiten zu Release ist :D Noch mehr falsch als bei Gothic 3 Launch zu machen ist echt unerklärlich.
Man, ich hab so riesig bock auf einen guten gothic teil aber es gibt ja nix. Risen 3 is auch einfach nich so toll, obwohl ich 30 Stunden Spielzeit versucht hab es gut zu finden, es kann den alten Teilen einfach nich das Wasser reichen.
Ich hab Risen noch nicht angespielt, da hab ich zumindest mit Teil 1 noch was schönes vor mir, aber ein geiles Gothic in Zukunft wäre einfach nur mega.

С Content Mod 2.2 чёртос два так всё легко получится. А эта не пропатченная Готика3 очень легка в прохождение. С патчем СP 1.6 за 124 мин. проходил

Junge junge. Denkst du ernsthaft die Speedruner spielen DIREKT so?! Die schauen sich die Spiele erstmal in Ruhe an, und dann gehen die Rekorde nach. Anders geht es gar nicht. Oder meinst du die kaufen sich Spiel x und kennen direkt alles und rushen dann regelrecht innerhalb der ersten fünf Minuten durch? Der kennt das Spiel mit sicherheit viel besser als wir alle.

It is apparently not a speedrun as there are cuts. They become obvious due to the music switches.
Just read the description, a segmented speedrun is still a speedrun. A realtime-run would have been hardly possible at the time anyway, because of the bad game performance. While i repeated some segments to get better items from chests with random inventory, i had to repeat most segments just for the sake of reducing the lags.

If he played the current version of Gothic 3 with all the patches that have been made since the releasing of the game, he wouldn't complete it so fast. And he had a little bit of luck since the content of the chests is random. Besides, some minor mistakes. Good run, though. :)

U r not hacking but fact is this is not a real speedrun.
As it can be read in the description, the run is segmented and the save/load-screens are cut out. There is nothing wrong with that, the run is still consistent, it's just not a single-segmented run.
