I think TDP had reacted initially. Looking at student's protests government has amended the Go and gave second option. Now they might have given 3 rd option. Anyway they are not filling posts, but they dont want to pay existing teaching or non teaching staff also due to their tight financial situation. That is understable. But the first GO has given scope for speculation that it is eyeing the properties owned by the aided colleges, which may not be totally ruled out. However it is a burden on students. The parties who claim that they want to upgrade schools, bring up poor students by introducing English medium, aiding parents with lumsum amounts towards school fee cannot justify this stand. Their commitments towards poor students looks like an eyewash, knowing fully well that the lumpsum amounts they are distributing to the parents certainly will not be be spent the way it is intended to be.

No government since 1969 tried to identify functional utility of education. Even New Educational policy 2020 is also a failure. Secondly there is no integral vision about higher education, professional education and employment potential. Hence this crisis. I worked in aided college during 1980..2011 and a student of higher education since 1969. This opinion reflects my observations.
