The new setting looks like you and Cal were transported to a cold, empty future, and despite being hopelessly trapped in said future, you continue to send timely reviews back to the present day. Now that's dedication!
Thank you! R. Stevie kinda stumble-manifested into my life half a decade ago, and I've been championing him ever since. The Freaks of the Fringe need as much love as possible... Thanks for the great reviews. Sunn, Timber Timbre, Swans, etc. - you're spot on on a lot of stuff and have excellent taste. Keep it up!
The original background was understated -- black backdrop with the album cover, looked very lo-fi. The second background was simple in a good way -- flat wall with the album cover behind him and one other album cover in the corner of the frame to indicate the vastness and versatility of his music collection, kinda brilliant. The third, most recent background was good too -- warm, bright and interesting with the vinyl collection visible. This empty white stucco wall alone is just too boring.
i'm listening to his album Googleplex as i type this. words can't express how interesting and captivating the atmosphere this album has is. i can't believe i've gone so long without hearing this guy. thank you so much for showing me, and i'm sure plenty of others, REAL fucking music, mr. fantano.
Probably damned-if-you-do-damned-if-you-don't on the background situation. This one's less busy, but people are still going to miss Background Mk. III, probably simply on the principle that they don't like change. Now, as for the actual video itself, which after all is what matters, twas informative and awesome. I've never checked out R. Stevie Moore, or really delved into lo-fi stuff at all. But I'm thinking about looking into it. Forever.
Review "Don't Worry, You'll Be Here Forever"-NO They are a band with similar sounds to the National and their music just sounds great. It would be great for you to review their EP(their only release) because they are a relatively new band.
i love r stevie moore. i was reading under one of the videos in a playlist that someone said he was like a cross between the residents and frank zappa, both of whom are bat shit crazy and dont have too much musically in common with each other or stevie moore, but come on, someone mentions those two in a description, you gotta check it out
Can you recommend a few R Stevie Moore albums for me to get please? I love strong melodies, interesting chords and great guitar work. I bought his Jason Falkner collab record and love it. I need more of that sort of stuff but don't know where to start! Thanks for your help, Jamie
honestly, anywhere. just cherry pick. For example Clack! has 18 tracks but i only like 5 of them so add them to my RSM playlist. Most albums are like this.
To my ears, his three strongest albums all the way through are Swing And A Miss, Stevie Moore Or Less, and Play. All three of those are solid all the way through, to me. Also check out Phonography, Clack!, Stevie Moore Returns, What’s The Point?!!, and the compilation Ariel Pink’s Picks Volume One, which are AP’s favorite RSM songs sequenced in a way that creates a stand alone, cohesive album.
Please paint the walls in that room a nice, warm colour like in your older vids (not the dark colour like in your really old vids), and I'd like to see the album cover a square instead of an oblong or whatever that is, thanks
Hey Anthony, since you don't do intros anymore, how about giving us a 20 second sample of the album you are reviewing? That way, the viewers can get an idea what kind of sound the album has.
Hey 'Tano, you gna review 'Lorn - Ask The Dust'? He's involved with Brainfeeder, but released it through Ninja Tune. Really dark and moody, uses lotsa cello and other heavy strings, certainly a highlight of mine in the electronic scene this year (so far). Please do, I'd love to hear your OHpinion! oh, and, re this video i.e. what the comment section is for, gna wath it ryt naoow.
He changed to from a simple background to a room behind him, people complained. He changed from a room behind him to another simple background, people still complained. Damn, never satisfied!
Please review if you have time: Luciano Berio / Mike Patton / Ictus Ensemble - Laborintus II Massgrav - Still The Kings Adrian Sherwood - Survival & Resistance The Locust - Molecular Genetics From The Gold Standard Labs Oh No - Dr. No's Kali Tornado Funk
Before he hated R. Stevie Moore for being a transgressive artist. This guy has no idea about art and humour. R Stevie Moore is someone who understands how to combine both.
dude u gotta switch rooms like this room sucksss the empty room reverb is annoying and the background and lighting is very depressing and plain :// I miss the color vibrant room that you had before or even before that room
a rare different background... gonna download this one before the price on rare fantano reviews increases
hardly anyone's gonna revisit this partiular video, but man, how well has your comment aged! lol
@@jorchcm1I revisited in 2024 🎉
Fantastic artist. If you like his style I recommend The Cleaners from Venus, also a fantastic band with a similar sound.
The new setting looks like you and Cal were transported to a cold, empty future, and despite being hopelessly trapped in said future, you continue to send timely reviews back to the present day. Now that's dedication!
Since hearing Lo Fi Hi Fives, I've listened to more than 100 RSM tracks (I know that's less than 1%) but I'm fuckin' in love with what I'm hearing!

I just discovered R. Stevie Moore because of this video. Thank you.
haha the album cover guy is wearing the same glasses
hello from the future
Just look at the album cover. You can tell R Stevie Moore is what Anthony will look like when he is older.

Forever.
Yeah that room does have a sweet vibe. Kind of like, "Oh, I listen to some of everything". Please listen to us, Anthony!
I. LOVE. This new setup with Cal.
Saw RSM in Silverlake last year and had a great time. He did a killer cover of I Want You (She's So Heavy) that night.
God Bless you Cal, I love yo beats man
In forty years Antony is going to look exactly like the album cover.
i prefer this explicitly because there's a WAK CALZONE again
i dig the new background. REAL BIG FAN OF DAT MINIMALISM BR0
i love r stevie moore. i was reading under one of the videos in a playlist that someone said he was like a cross between the residents and frank zappa, both of whom are bat shit crazy and dont have too much musically in common with each other or stevie moore, but come on, someone mentions those two in a description, you gotta check it out

Actually what am I saying everything on Clack! is dope

Really just go down the rabbit hole, there's so much good shit to find.
see, the videos are already better now that they are closer to the old format rather than the post-move format.
Told ya Antwan.

review
more of his catalog he doesnt make since in small doses he has alot to offer he is the best!

Lighting is perfect. Sound will improve I'm sure. Review is good. Cal is good.
Cal is fabulous. He sounds like a typical Polish wedding band.
I'm glad you stopped doing the good comment, the great rate, strong subscribe thing. Was a little cheesy.
Aw...I really liked the other room.
Also, I wants to see a review for Antony & The Johnson's "Cut The World". Please.
Hey Fantano, what are your thoughts on the Pussy Riot situation? Question of the day eh?
I like this room because there's no echo like in the old room.
Wow. 4th background change. Cool. I like the previous one more though.
I like the new background, more focus on the review and less on other stuff!
LOVING CALS INTROS
yo i hope this ain't the permanent background, its cold compared to the old one :( review seams, cooly g, alt-j and flatbush zombies?
R. Stevie Moore and Anthony get their glasses from the same place. I'm pretty sure about it.
Review the Fleetwood Mac tribute compilation album. it has a ton of good artists and interesting takes on classics
I like Cal. I like the new room. I like you, Anthony.
Hey Anthony. August 28, Dan Deacon's new album comes out. Dan Deacon - America.
You should review it.

Review newly DIY band Circa Survive's newest release "Violent Waves"!
Gregory & The Hawk - Come, now
Would you review the Mindless Self Indulgence album Tight?
Hey banana Fantana, do you think you could review the new Circa Survive album, Violent Waves?
He used to that in the track reviews, but not any more. I suppose there are some legal issues with playing copyrighted music.
Micah Brown - The Isle of Her
Yeasayer - Fragrant World leak
i liked the old place better, had a very warm feeling in it
to anyone interested in r stevie moore, you should listen to sort of way, cool daddio,i love all the girls to start you off
Anthony, why are you so fucking awesome? ANSWER ME!
Like the new look just make the "Wack Cal Zone" sign more legible, barely legible right now.
Did you change the wall because you ran out of records to display from your collection?
THEN I LEFT
that was the wall cal was putting a green screen on during a previous intro
Anthony, I would love it if you reviewed Rainbow Road by Alvin Band.
Have Cal review the Kiana Brown song "Hey Chica" that played in an ad before I watched this.
no wait stop why are you filming here Anthony no stop
STAHP
Just when I was used to the previous room.
Gotta admit that i hate this new background, too...
The other background was much better in my opinion (more visually stimulating)
I'm enjoying seeing Cal more. However, the new background needs to go.
I seriously just thought that was Anthony with a beard.
hey babes, you've got more reverb than loveless. throw up some egg cartons or something
hmm not really diggin this new backdrop, feelin a strong 4 to a light 5.
R. Stevie Moore looks like Vinyl with a bread xD
Don't mind me, just adding another comment saying Anthony should go back to the old room. Seriously.
Why you care big guy
WE UPLOAD VIDEOS AT 9 AM NOW
Thank you for this
Just as I get use to the one lay out.
Am I the only one who likes the new background?
dude the reverb on your voice sounds pretty realistic but its slightly overdone.
review Django Django's self-titled album please!
also any album by Tim Fite! (most recently "Ain't Ain't Ain't")
if you're cold, then go put on a sweater!
He looks like Allen Ginsberg on that art cover.
