dude that resin vapors are toxic and you literally have your face over visible fumes from it
This is absolutely breathtaking. I don't even do mini painting, but watched every second of this with my jaw on the floor.
Thanks for the love Andrew!
Bruh go see a doctor
i hope you went to the hospital
"It gets rock hard in 30 seconds" Sounds like an ad you'd see on a less than savory website.
13:36 Resin curing is exothermic, so it melt the base :P
you can see the heat at 14:53
@@RyanSultana You right, and because of this smoke Emil should wear a mask in this case :/
Julien R. And gloves. A toech (fire) to pop the bubbles. Also let the resin buble and sit a while before UV
I watched this about the time it came out, just after I got into the hobby. Having watched countless videos on mini painting since then, this is still my favorite end result.
This is by far one of the best snow bases i have ever seen! Thumbs up! :)
Dude I've only watched one or two of your videos and I genuinely want to get back into 40k modelling. You're awesome
Mark pywell Dude right? It’s been like 6 or 7 years since I had gotten rid of models and I can’t believe I never thought to look on UA-cam. So many cool tips and techniques. Definitely inspired to pick up a small kit and try some of this out:)
Same here lol, havnt touched warhammer in over 15 years but after finding this channel I had to order me a "Start collecting"-kit and get back into it!
Terrain builders everywhere are probably crapping themselves at those results watching you just experiment and get a best-in-class ice effect
I like how you're happy to shout out other artists in your videos man. That's really cool. Thanks for painting one of my best boys. Love Wolves.
That was fucking sick. Painting and basing goals all in one vid. Time to binge the back catalogue
yeah mezgike is a real artist...that base idea was incredible
This makes me want to hug a Frank Frazetta painting.
There's Just something special about seeing a Scandinavian paint a viking.
Holy shit... Thanks for this. I was a Warhammer fan when I was 13 years old. Now i'm 31 and just bought an starter kit thanks to your tutorials and videos! I'm back!!
I keep re-watching this video, i just love how it turned out!
Found myself talking to the screen several times of how cool this basing is! Two thumbs & two big toes up! Agree with Ash, on the great attitude I see expressed throughout this craft - people enjoying each other’s victories - it’s very refreshing! Well done!
You realy get the WOW efect out of me.
Came to back to this to refresh my memory while i work on my own haldor and it reminds me… ive literally always hated that axe and could never figure out why, but you make it one of the coolest axes ive seen even with your “rushed” paintjob on it. Incredible
My favorite Chapter! Looks great! Also you weren't kidding about that base: EPIC.
A really easy way to pop air bubbles in resin is to use a lighter, running the flame near the surface. The rapid heat causes the air bubble to expand rupturing the bubble. Ive also seen people use hair driers/heat guns.
That's really impressive work... just wow...
Love this design... the base looks amazing and great job as usual on the mini. Love the space marine under the ice.
For a long time I've been trying to work out how to do a " very large" winter diorama... I think you've given me the answer to some of the questions. THANK YOU.
Woo! Space wolves!
Epic work. That tells a great story! Love the use of the rock moulds for the ice clusters.
Awesome Model and Base. Keep this Good work up. Greetz from Germany
I was amazed by Ruben's entry as well😄 fun to see your take on it! Keep up the good work Emil😁
I keep coming back to this video. It's so fun to watch other people experiment and illustrate cool techniques and ideas.
Is this or was this piece on display in Gävle, Sweden? I feel when I was there visiting my family I saw it at our local game store.
After having watched this channel for a few years, I can honestly say that this is my favorite piece! I think with the channel expanded now, it would be incredible if you and Lukas did a full Ice/Fenris diorama that has Space Wolves maybe charging some Thousand Sons Rubric Marines! You could utilize some of the stuff you used here as well as adding more effects! It tell an amazing story and would be a fantastic video!
Much love from a Space Wolf in Minnesota
Phenomenal work! The blood angel under the ice was amazing!
That’s the sickest ice base I’ve ever seen!
Thx mate :D
simply WOW!
I used to paint space wolves back in the day and your video has awoken my inner wolf , fantastic video . Please keep making them
Wow this is a great quality painting and basing video. Thank you Emil!
This inspired me to do better with my snow bases
Your process for the ice base is inspired! Great job!
i dont warhammer, i dont do miniatures but still i keep watching your videos. super interesting creative work. congrats and keep it up buddy!
Hi, guy. I came from the future. THIS video, is the fucking reason i watch your videos. Just INSANE!! 🤯🤣🤣🤣
Stellar work! Thanks for creating and sharing.
Stunning model. This is my favourite one so far from your videos.
Great job man! I was shocked when I saw the blues you chose for the power armor, but watching you work the light into it made it a strong choice! Well done!
Your snow effects are great!!! I'd like to see your take on necrotic swamps, bile bases, or grave yards. I love your work man. You keep me motivated
Woaw you just killed it! I'm in love with your space wolf colour sheme! It becomes so difficult to resist tu buy some miniatures again when you see such a good tutorial! Thumbs up!
You made me come back at this wonderful hobby that could be a job someday, infinitely thanks 🙏🏻 peace
Okay, so I've never been tempted to buy a Woodland Scenics Rock Mold for rocks, but having seen how the resin "ice" turned out I'm definitely going to pick up one now; when it had been demolded and was sitting on your desk, it *really* did look like a chunk of ice.
Love the way this miniature turned out; it absolutely conveys a sense that there's some sort of narrative going on. The other dead Space Marine under the ice was a nice touch.
Amazing dude. Simply amazing. Great tips and info too ! Thks a lot
Yeah, sick base! (and everything else, too)
I’m thinking of getting into the Warhammer figures and I love the Space Wolves the most. Great job and especially great realism!!
OH MY GOD DAT FACE! Man you are just amazing, need more of your tutorials!
That UV resin is a game changer ! Great job !
Stunning. Just stunning.
But seriously, absolutely incredible work
So much inspiration thank you I get my first space wolves tomorrow so excited to start building my army that base is amazing
Wouldn’t had made more sense to have a frozen space wolf
You're my favorite Miniature/terrain creator on youtube! Solid content! Atm im working on a my edition of your orc base! Having so much fun!
Damn that looks cool!
Space Wolves are that one army that if I was to paint up an official Space Marine Chapter, it would be the Wolves
Awe inspiring, and also just inspiring! Thank you so much for your wonderful videos!
Never Fell More in Love! You Made me start painting miniatures 💪🔥😁
Just wow!! That's inspirational right there!! I'd love to see more scenery based tutorials in the future, (not at all because that's what I'm working on now!) Or a diorama. Simply love your work.
The quality of your channel, tips and everything else is insane ! You are my favorite miniature channel at the moment ! Props to you my friend !
Wow ! This is surely one of the best looking snow base I ever saw. Really g
reat job !
This base set me rock hard
Using the resin in the rock mold was genius!
Absolutely incredible !
This is quite an amazing piece my friend! I am taking a crack at the snow effects for my hero model so perfect this popped up
That Space Wolf looks like captain Sweden in those colors =D
Looks awesome! Thanks for the great content, keep up the great work. I really appreciate the way you explain your creative process, and all your tips and tricks. Just started into mini painting, terrain, and 3d printing for D&D 2 years ago.
HOLY MOLLY !
Honestly looking at you painting feels so relaxing haha. I am new to Warhammer 40K and a lot of people recommended your channel and boy it is amazing and inspiring! Next week I'll be starting to paint my first miniature ever, but this got me very psyched!!!
Great job Emil, especially with the base, really enjoyed that. Hope you place high in the competition.
That is actually incredible man
Una base brutal!!! Gracias. Muy buen video.
Wow! That was cool! Thanks for sharing!
Wow! That looks great! Great video!
Watched the Mezgike video but yours is awesome too. Love the ice and icicle effects. It's cool to see your process too.
Incredible
I do space wolves but I'm a bit of a noob so this is amazing
Love it! Will try it out once I get all the materials!
When I saw the rock in the thumbnail, I thought it was like part of a glacier that was made with resin
This is ducking amazing 😍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks so much for this. Inspired me to get some glacier-feels too! I used Spiritstone blue technical paint for blue ice and looks amazing!
That base is epic!
yeah, nice result
Genius ! 👍🏻
Awesome stuff mate, your airbrush video is by far the best I’ve ever come across you hit details no one else goes into.
I've always thought about using resin in those rock moulds. Thanks for the great demo
Gorgeous, to say the least.
Holly...I'm so glad I have seen this video Emil, it's absolutely stunning!🤩
Thanks for it!🤗
yay space wolves squidly bop
Loved it mate!! Thanks heaps!
When I see this beauty, I think you should do a serie of masterclass videos about the next Ragnar model!! It would be great!!
Awesome. The best ice and snow tutorial I've seen so far.
Wow, this is amazing
That’s quality 🔥👍
Not seen many solid blocks of ice with snow on top. Very good
2:20 you said "Vallejo" properly. I love you!
Good ice technique I'll steal that cheers
outstanding!
I’ll just watch one more squidmar video aaaaaand it’s 3am 😩
Buts it's 11 am here. So really it's daytime for you
Dan u just got exposed
What blows my mind is you did up a really great Space Wolf and as far as I can tell you didn't *actually* use any grey on the armor. And yet...it *looks* right. Fantastic!
Amazing Base!
