We catch them and put them in captivity just like any other animal in Zoo's and even those "obedient" slave Orcas have been shown to have a dark side to them. Tilikum at Sea World killed 3 of the workers there and over 100 reports of aggression from Orcas in general. They are large, intelligent and social creatures and in the wild have been known to kill for fun or just cause they can or even just bully other creatures for awhile then swim off. I think most people know you have a better chance swimming with sharks than you do Orcas and most incidents happen at the parks because of that. However they have been recently known to tag team and smash up sail boats now and I believe we're still uncertain as to why but they may have been attacked by a person or people on a sail boat and now whenever they see one they try to kill it first so to speak.

I've seen this do this to baby whales too they keep jumping on the baby in the mother's trying to get them off but they keep jumping it and finally drowning and they only eat the tongue and the rest of the body is left to the ocean very very sad to watch and when they eat sharks it's funny they only go after the liver but these are specific pods in different areas the even have different languages I watched an extensive documentary on them it's pretty interesting on the Discovery Channel

There has been no scientific backing to prove orcas kill for fun without eating just that they leave a lot of waste from their catch when they hunt which is beneficial to the Environment. This misconception has been debunked over and over again for decades and the root of people hating orcas to the point of intentionally killing their calves on sight. Orcas DO eat the dolphin and they hunt to SURVIVE and feed their family.
