"I've been selfish for a long time because that's how I've been brought up." People often use their upbringing as an excuse for their behaviour. I empathise for those who've not had a healthy or ideal childhood but one thing's for sure, we own our minds and our hearts and no one, not even those who raise us can take that away. We get to an age where we can comprehend what's going on, know what's right from wrong, and choose who we are. Not having the best company around you shouldn't be a reason for you to be like them. It is the manner by which we sift what goes into our hearts and minds that builds us, our principles, our values, and our morale. I admire Heart for changing how she once was. It is never too late to be a better person, in fact, every second before us brings with it that window opportunity. It's just up to us to either pry it open or close it off. Remember, as long as our past teaches us something, as long as it helps to make us a better person, it shouldn't be a flaw to be ashamed of. So good for you Heart for choosing to be more generous to those who need it.

Itutuloy ko ba itong nakasanayan ko o pipiliin ko bang baguhin ang nakasanayan ko? Yes, we carry our childhood with us as we age, but there are always rooms for improvement. For instance, why is it that 2 people shared the same violent environment while growing up but one ends up becoming a police while the other became a serial killer? Given that there aren't any cognitive/mental complications at play, it is purely because of the choices they make. Pero gaya nga ng sinabi ko, it is never too late to change and become a better person.

"I've been selfish for a long time because that's how I've been brought up." People often use their upbringing as an excuse for their behaviour. I empathise for those who've not had a healthy or ideal childhood but one thing's for sure, we own our minds and our hearts and no one, not even those who raise us can take that away. We get to an age where we can comprehend what's going on, know what's right from wrong, and choose who we are. Not having the best company around you shouldn't be a reason for you to be like them. It is the manner by which we sift what goes into our hearts and minds that builds us, our principles, our values, and our morale. I admire Heart for changing how she once was. It is never too late to be a better person, in fact, every second before us brings with it that window opportunity. It's just up to us to either pry it open or close it off. Remember, as long as our past teaches us something, as long as it helps to make us a better person, it shouldn't be a flaw to be ashamed of. So good for you Heart for choosing to be more generous to those who need it.
I disagree ,dahil kung ano upbringing ,ganun ka tlaga paglaki .so kung lumaki ka na spoiled or selfish madadala tlaga yan paglaki ,,peru later on ma realize ng isang tao na ay selfish pala ako then magbabago ...

@@CindysBisvlog I mentioned na there comes a point in our life kung saan magkakaisip tayo and have that ability to comprehend things. That is where we get to choose, 'free will' ika nga. Itutuloy ko ba itong nakasanayan ko o pipiliin ko bang baguhin ang nakasanayan ko? Yes, we carry our childhood with us as we age, but there are always rooms for improvement. For instance, why is it that 2 people shared the same violent environment while growing up but one ends up becoming a police while the other became a serial killer? Given that there aren't any cognitive/mental complications at play, it is purely because of the choices they make. Pero gaya nga ng sinabi ko, it is never too late to change and become a better person.
