Had this for over 2 months now and its never let us down. Fantastic suction. Does the job. We got 2 shedding dogs and it certainly takes care of the mud and hairs. The only gripe is no cable management. Had to 3D print an attachment, now can keep cable attached.
Hey! If you don't mind me asking, how good is it for "cleaning" a drug?! I don't have dogs, so no serious staining. But my rugs need a wash every once in a while for sure and I just would never put those (even though they're small) in the washer (Would ruin the washer!!).
@@samf.s8786 if you spray the rug with hot water mixed with carpet shampoo let it soak then use the hose to suck all the dirty water out like a hot water extractor. it doesn't have a wet floor head sadly you use the hose attachments for wet cleaning
I'm GLAD I bought mine! I'm sick of nasty filters. My rugs are cleaner than they have been in years. It's easy to use and CLEANS. ( I'm glad I didn't watch this video before I bought it. ;-) To each his own.....nothing personal--just a preference. I've used Electrolux, Dison, Hoover, Central Vac) I just rinse out the water and wellah....no more buying filters or getting junk back into the air. The cat hair came up like a charm. I love the motor strength. It PICKS UP. I don't need a gauge to see that my carpets are the best they've been since I bought them!
So you dump all this wet, essentially garbage, down your drain? How's your plumbing bill? I was GIVEN one brand new in the box for free. I opened it up, looked at, and packed it all back up again. What a cheap pile of garbage. You should have watched the video. He makes a lot of valid points about the deficiencies this has of a basic vacuum cleaner. Starting with no motor filtration. If you can't make a superior product baffle 'em with BS. That's what ALL water vacuums are.
This review is spot on. I have used about every name brand vacuum sold. Very heavy, and not balanced. Suction is fair. No cord hooks, and short cord. Does not transition from floor to carpet well. No self propel setting. To composite this to a rainbow is an insult to rainbow. The only similarity is they both use water. My choice for cheaper alternative as an upright is a shark . Otherwise rainbow has the best machine made for suction and clean.
Thank you for a brilliant demonstration. All the points you made were my concerns regarding this vacuum. Cheers for saving my money, I’ll stick to my wonderful wee vacuum that has held up beautifully.
I've had mine 8 months and so far, no complaints. I think it's extremely powerful and has great suction. Only had an issue once and just had to push the reset button on the powerhead. Definitely heavy. But it picks up a ton of what my Shark Navigator missed. I still test it sometimes. I'll vacuum with the Shark (that I had previously thought was amazing) then the Quantum X and always and still pick up a lot of sand and dog hair the Shark didn't pick up. I'm not bothered by having no cord wrap. I guess time will tell how long it holds up and lasts. I got a refurbished one on the Quantum website for $299. No dings, damage or issues so it's the same as buying new at almost half the price.
I have a rainbow..the past 14 yrs..its great! But I recently bought the Qx wanting an upright. This works great! I don't have to pull a canister around.
Quantum x vacuum is the best vacuum I have had.the suction is great why would you buy a quantum x vacuum and compare it with your vacuum of course you gonna tell the world not to buy the quantum x. but I did and I 💕 my quantum x the best in the world 🌎..
I just got mine..l had a shark before, vacuumed 2-3 times a week because l have a cat and a toddler…never felt like my shark kept up. I used my quantum last night, and it was great. My carpet looks great.
@@UWDawgMom i respectfully disagree…my carpet looks fabulous after l vacuum. My shark was sub par at best. It use to annoy me that l couldn’t get my carpet, cleaner. With having a 5 year old..l love the fact l can spot clean using that vacuum.
I had a Rainbow for 30 years!! I loved it. I just got this Quantum X and like the way it cleans but it is very heavy! Mine tilts to the side and I don’t know why or how to keep it from tilting.
i have one and i love it. iv had it almost 1 year and my only complaint is my boyfriend works from home and works with wood and if i accidently vacuum up a piece it will get clogged with all the hair from my 2 giant schnauzers (and my waist long hair) but i think any vacuum would do that. but iv had more expensive vacuums in the past and i love it in comparison! i really love the way my floors feel w/bare feet😊❤
If you ever wanted to know how Baird numbers translate to actual CFM, here's the table: ZERO = 46 CFM (or less) ONE = 56 CFM TWO = 62 CFM THREE = 69 CFM FOUR = 77 CFM FIVE = 85 CFM SIX = 93 CFM SEVEN = 97 CFM EIGHT = 104 CFM NINE = 108 CFM TEN = 110 CFM (or more) The only proper way to hold this gauge is horizontal, never tilted and/or vertical. This CFM translation was obtained in my lab using an actual anemometer and has been proven as accurate provided the Baird gauge is undamaged and properly maintained.
The suction is actually really weak. Try flashing a light underneath the rollers and you'll see a bunch trash stuck in it. That means the suction is really bad.
How is the water and pet hair? Seems like it picks up the dirt mixes it with water and camouflage that is doing more than the regular vacuum. Thanks for the review
We had a rainbow and we loved it, when it died we got the quantum.. big mistake, we HATED it! vacuuming under furniture would drown the motor, and it was cheap and heavy.. we now have a ritello R2 premium, and we love it so much! Best purchase!
I have a client with this vacuum, and I HATE it! It's HEAVY, even without water. The suction is weak compared to my Stratos Ultralight Stick. The connection for the attachment hose is not secure. The hose doesn't stay on my hand during a suction test. The brush roller doesn't shut off for hard surface floors. And moving it from room to room is difficult. It's as if the wheels don't want to turn when not tuned on.
This is the worst vacuum I have ever owned. It was expensive and it never worked right . They keep sending me Parts and it’s expensive to keep sending the parts back and forth. I hate it. I did so much research and tried to get the best vacuum for the money. I have a lot of health issues and was hoping for something that did not contribute to polluting the air with dirt. This was not what I expected. This machine sit in my closet while I use my Oreck vacuum to clean up all the dirt left behind by this machine.😢
[sighs]Vac shop talk again when referring to the Rainbow. Rainbow systems are, before the SRX, very capable machines with a greener life than most Miele, Sebo and other Eurovac contraptions most vac shops sell these days. Now, to be extra critical again, get an anemometer. That’s how you measure airflow. A Baird meter doesn’t cut it and is totally biased towards most bagged machines it was designed to sell. If, and only if, you want a simple bagged vacuum cleaner, Numatic Henry with a true electric power nozzle is the way to go.
The sirena is pretty cheap. It has a plastic-y attatchment to the body that is hard to click in, a head swivle that wobbles when you didnt want it to. The hoses are heavy and can get stuck together. I did love how easily it followed me on the dolly. But to get the vacuum onto the dolly you have to balance a weird shape and it made me nervous each time. For me it was not worth the money.
Thank you for the demo!! I will NOT waste my money on this machine, great concept but needs to have a major overhaul on operation and weight!! Elderly definitely do not purchase as they wouldn't be able to move it! It also seems to be very loud!! I don't like the idea that it can't be serviced where you live!! How does one clean the roller?
My wife has one, and we had to take it almost completely apart
