The sluice is a nice addition to the kit bag and I'm sure if you get on some good ground it will serve you well. Also if you are finding that dull grey material in the river ( it looked like lead to me ) it means you are in a good spot where the heavier materials are coming to rest which is always a good indicator. Keep up the great work, it's all part of the learning curve buddy.
Appreciate the tips mate thank you I think I concentrated on trying to get a a V flow and didn’t really take in consideration on pitch, angle or sluice but I’m gonna get out keep practicing 😁
@@AdventuresWithButtons you will know when it's right because it will feed and clear the material smoothly at both ends. You don't want it clogging up in the middle. They will run ok in pretty fast flowing water.
Notice how all the bigger stones block up your sluice? It would be beneficial if you classified down to 1/4" and the larger material won't block sluice any more. Flow will be better as well as capture rate. Just trying to be helpful. ✌️😎
@@AdventuresWithButtons make sure to check for nuggets in the plus size classification before you dump them. Best of luck Friend, catch you on your next adventure. ✌️😎
Looks like you want either a little faster water were it's washing the light material out the back or a little more drop, so the water is churning in the drop zone. Also i find classifying to a little smaller runs better in my pocket sluice. Have you done a few test pans to see what you can expect in your sluice so you have an idea if you losing anything.
Thanks buddy appreciate the advice, I think I concentrated on to much on trying to get the water running smoothly and didn’t really think about pitch or angle of sluice but definitely will next time 😁
Yes bro Puka vid makeup of river looks good you need to no if gold as been found if as more prospecting 👍👍when you run your sluice don't stand behind it messing with flow 👏👍
