Thank you posting this. I had neighbors who were in their 80s. They married late in life. They were from the same home town but reunited in California where they got married. When he was sick, dying in the hospital, she told him she'd be ok, don't worry. When he passed she collapsed and passed 2 days later. I'll never forget her last words, i can't go back to that lonely apartment.
Thanks for posting this. Very good performance. According to IMDB, he did make 1 more tv appearance, though not on film, on Jay Leno's Family Comedy Hour, which NBC aired in Nov. 1987. I'm happy to say I have that show on videotape, and I've since transferred it to DVD.
He was very close friends with walt Disney. Don opened a barbecue restaurant at Disney land called the silver banjo. He was also close friends with Ronald Reagan. Everyone really admired Don Defore i know i sure did. His son ron Defore is just like him. Very nice down to earth kind of man.
other references as well....the cardigan sweater that Ozzie wore in "Ozzie and Harriet" and the question raises...since Don's final character here spent his entire married life reading to his bride....what did HE for a living.....quite a few parallels to the Mr. "B" character to those who knew the series.
I love the way Hazel used to push his buttons every which way but loose. And the way Hazel would put a muzzle on Deidre when was spouting off about how privelleged she is,. Funnier yet is how her henpecked husband quietly laughs his ass off the whole time.
Thank-you
For
Hazel
Show🥧👋🏻🥧❤️😇😃🎈
Great actor!
God Bless Don Defore

"Beautiful 'hazel' eye." Interesting line by DeFore.
👋🏻😃😇😇😇😇🎈🎈
Thank you for posting this wonderful video of Mr B.
Very touching. The mentioning of 'hazel' eyes was a sweet not to Don's past.
There's other references to Don's career, but won't spoil it here.

Besides the Cardigan sweater, there's another nod to Ozzie and Harriet that is mention twice in these clips...
No one mentions it, but Don Defore also co-starred on The Nelsons/Ozzie and Harriet Show.
"So that you don't strain those beautiful 'hazel' eyes." Interesting line.
I miss him every WEEK!
As Hazel would have said, for his very last part, he picked “a doozy”!
Such a wonderful actor! Sure wish I would have had the chance to meet him
@ 1:12....”so you don’t strain your beautiful “ HAZEL “ eyes...”

Is that Denzel Washington playing the part of the doctor?
Not including Don, the acting in the 1970's was the worst!
Except for "Baretta".
