This homemade herbal hair oil has so many healthy ingredients which help hair to grow, prevent dandruff/dry scalp and extremely nourishes hair. Most of the ingredients are easily available in our home garden and kitchen. I have used Curry leaves, Hibiscus flowers, Hibiscus leaves, Tulsi leaves (Indian Holy Basil), Onions seeds (aka Kalonji, Nigella seeds, black seeds), Fenugreek seeds (methi seeds or methi daana) and some Essential oils.

Aleo vera gel you will get fine paste .wastage is less also.you can use the paste as mask later.

I am going to try this hair recipe, since I am over 50 now, I am noticing thinning hair around some parts of my scalp especially area of my head where i part my hair. , Also I bleached it year back to do some highligh which I am regretting, I am going back to all dark blue black hair, thanks for sharing this recipe. you have beautiful hair. I have noticed my hair goes a little past my shoulder and then stops, i am going to try this and see.

Hello mam,
In many of the other videos they say that we should not boil the oil while making the Hair oil. Instead you a double boiler method so that the nutrients don't get burnt while boiling the oil. So could you please clarify on this? On which method is the best?

You can find ingredients in amazon and indian grocery stores. Its all natural hair oil and should work😊
Njoki, all these ingredients are available in Kenya. If you live in Nairobi, go to Parklands. Secondly, I once had a neighbour who would bring Hibiscus dried flowers for us, to make Hibiscus juice. I am sure Hibiscus is available in Nairobi as well.

Yes essential oils are optional and gives nice smell. You can definitely skip them.

Yes I did as I had all the ingredients ready, but it smells a little bit bitter because of the fenugreek seeds (methi)so I have ordered some essential oils, once I get them I will start using this oil.

Madam thank you for the recipe. I only wish to point out that onion seeds are Alium cepa, not Nigella sativa. Nigella sativa may look the same but it is a completely different thing with different properties from onion seeds. Which do we add in the oil?

My skin is very oily.willthis oil cause acne or pimples? And for how long should I leave it applied ?
Do I need to massage or simply apply on the hair ?
Unfortunately I cannot tell if this oil causes pimples or not. I recommend leave the oil atleast for 8 hrs or overnight so that the scalps soaks in the oil. you need to apply to the scalp and the roots very well.
