When I 1vsX fight and there is also a coward archer poking me from short distance, I usually won't commit to the meele fight, but spam-feint my way to the archer to kill him first. I would say It's my most natural instinct in Mordhau ahah. You must be on a higher spiritual level, I'm not that patient lol.
