Maybe, but I believe she is one of the lower tiers in Rivals 1. Mind you, this series genuinely has no bad characters, so it doesn't matter too much

can't blame you whatsoever. The online for Ultimate is one of the worst I have ever seen in a video game.

I am in the exact same boat as well, quit because the online was bad, the meta being absolutely atrocious and just Nintendo in general.
and the same for me too. The Online being so bad is why I didn't have the motivation to practice anymore. I just don't want to persue offline 24/7. However, we still don't know if the Online in this game will actually be good, they haven't even developed it yet lol.
I want to play this game, but I really hope it has photosensitivity settings because some of these effects are really going to hurt my eyes if I have to keep seeing them
I'm still trying to figure out what they mean by "special pummel" for Clairen to get a tipper throw, can someone explain how that works? How do you special pummel? Is it like a command grab she has or?
If you press the B button to do a pummel, it has a special effect. In Smash, A and B will both do normal pummels.
You have a normal pummel and a special pummel. You can only do one a single time. If the enemy presses the same button for normal or special pummel as you, the grab is broken. This mechanic replaces spamming to get out of a grab. You either get a guaranteed throw out of a grab, or risk it for more damage with a normal pummel or a special effect with a special pummel. The trick is making sure the enemy doesn't guess what you will do, so you can't do one pummel all the time or they will learn to counter it and cancel your grab.
