I cried when she said that.
*MURICA*
*Liberty at critical mass*
First thing that comes up about Murica " Dunkin donuts "
Yup Japan has the right opinion of us xD
And then Fast Food and Freedom
100% they have it right
murica fuck yeah
They need some Krispy Kreme stat. I am sorry Dunkin I grew up on you in New England but Krispy Kreme in the south makes a better doughnut. Dunkin I would always get boston creme or jelly or doughnuts with all sorts of toppings. Krispy Kreme elevates a simple glazed doughnut to such perfection I feel bad ordering their other doughnuts as they just add more onto an already perfect pastry.
PS: If I find out the glaze has crack cocaine in it I will not be surprised.
Kirspy Kreme and a local grocery store that uses their own recipe are the only places I bother to get donuts anymore.
I went to Japan about two years ago. They have Krispy Kreme there. I tried a half dozen of everything that looked good, including an original glaze just as a comparison base line. I'd rate all of them on the doughnut-o-meter around Dunkin' level. Even the original glaze, which should have been great, but it turns out that putting crack cocaine in food is illegal in Japan.
All the other food, though, is to die for. Japan is culinary heaven.

I'm American and I ate a burger today... holy mackerel the stereo types are right
I don't realy like them I barely eat them at all. I only like the horridly unhealthy McDonald's ones (or burger king). If you want a burger that your mom won't be up in arms about make it yourself. Use low fat beef, and put fresh vegetables on them with a whole wheat bun. My family is on a health kick so i know how you feel
kunoichi lise I eat a burger 5 times a week. AND I STILL GOT A BMI OF 19%

when they started saying "bad stereotypes about america" i was just like "stereotypes? these are all true! xD"
The American characters in anime always make me laugh the hardest.
😂😂
I know this is a year old now but I can't resist. Stereotypes aren't necessarily incorrect. They are just over simplified and widely held beliefs.
most stereotypes are, that truthful observation is what makes them stick. Granted as stereotypes grow, they add in a bunch of crap along the way.
After watching like 7 videos like this the main stereotype is that Americans are Big friendly people who are extremely extrovert .... Outgoing and never afraid to speak their minds.....and hamburger.....I don't know where they got that idea but yeah I'll take it lol
Yeah, they will eat just about any unhealthy food they see
+Alexandra Reid I prefer my meats raw to fried, and I prefer home cooked to processed. Though, to be fair, I have to make everything by hand because of a genetic disorder in which most USA foods can kill me... Eating a meal without some form of meat or fish in it always makes me feel empty. I'm just strange like that.
***** Unfortunately, this has been my experience, except in parts of California where they accept just about everything.
+Lycantis California is very different I've been born and raised here and never think of moving to another state. There's good and bad people everywhere same as fat and skinny. I gained weight fast because you can get hooked on that in n out but I'm now making smart choices and look great lol. We have Hispanics blacks Caucasians Asians and we love them all. Very open minded because we have all struggled to get to where we are at and new comers are very welcomed. When I worked at Disneyland I saw people from all over the world it was so exciting :)
TheBoss YesiGirl Exactly, I'm a California native but I'm in Wyoming and hate it here, to be honest. I recently visited Cali in LA and had a blast, it was great. I plan to visit other countries some day, but if that doesn't happen, then oh well.
A bit sugar-coated, but it makes you feel good, I like them.
With all the bad stuff happening right now, it's nice to hear some good things about America...
Yup...
Wow this comment is from 11 months ago... how fucked up is it that we can heavily relate today.
@midgetydeath North Korea's attitude and behavior is....completely unchanged despite Trump's love letters and desperate pleas to make him look good. Te average American family lost $1000 to the trade war with China, and we just ended up back where we started with no substantive changes in terms of intellectual property. All just a reality tv show Presidency. Not much substance. We don't remotely provide all of their food and other resources. China imports more from little South Korea alone than the US. Total waste of time and money. Anyway thanks for confirming another American stereotype that is becoming more and more accurate. Too many run their mouths without doing even a modicum of research to know what they're talking about. Just parroting their favorite talk heads and looking foolish.

Its nice to see these kinds of videos talking about Americans and not completely talking crap about them. In other country's all they ever talk about is America's fat people and guns and I swear thats the only thing they talk about and it makes me sick, so as an American Im just so happy to see this.
IKR? We Americans are already aware of our flaws and that's our problem, not theirs. Every country has their flaws it is just that ours are more apparent because we are the only superpower in the world.
America is the only superpower in the world? American problems don't affect the rest of the world? Oh boy. You have got a massive chip on your shoulder. I feel bad for you.
+Alanna Johnson The USA is the only superpower in the world. Look it up. China and Russia are growing superpowers but they haven't reached its status yet. American government problems may effect the rest of the world, but personal problems in the country don't (except Mexico).

Though I can save you the trouble of doing one on the UK. Their responses will be as follows: The Beatles, football, David Beckham and disgusting food. Maybe 'gentleman' if we're lucky.
haha! Thank you! :D
I'm positive we'll get the gentleman response, because I've heard a bunch of people say that before!
***** No, I love our food♡ Most Japanese people have the stereotype that our food is gross though...Even though most of them have never tried it =X I'm guessing they're thinking of like haggis and black pud which can be forgiven because both are disgusting XD
WhiteEnglishGirl When I think 'British food', I think curry, and most Japanese people love curry! (I am Canadian, btw)
I can spare you the swedish one too, it'll just be "huh? what's that?" or maybe if they're into football they'll say Zlatan. When I was in South Korea and people asked me where I came from, I usually got the response of "aaah, Sweden..." (meaning: I'm just gonna nod and smile and pretend I know about this country).
Meofalulu Curry?? I think fish and chips, crumpets, tea, and spotted dick.....heh heh (had to add the last one, I'm immature XD)

There was this one exchange student from Japan who I knew in middle school. She moved back after a year. She was so nice and smart. I really liked talking to her.
When they say "bigger" I wouldn't be too offended, guys. Westerners naturally have a larger frame/bone structure than most Asians. If they mean "fat", they'll say it (and they do later in the video). I think there's a difference and that most of them understand that, too.
spacetiime
I feel like only overly fat American's find that insulting. I guess sometimes the truth hurts. Im American. I'm probably a normal to small size for most Americans. I'm 4"10 110 pounds. A size 6 jeans/dress. (I read the average woman's jean size in America just went up to a size 12.) Even if I was a wide load i really wouldnt know why ppl get so angry over ppl saying we're a fatty country. WE ARE! Who cares? So what? We enjoy our greasy foods, big butts, fast cars, football and loud boozy nights with good friends! Lol.... just embrace it America! Then again I'm a chubby chaser (I like big men) so I prooooobably have a diff point of view on this subject. hahahaha.
I think they meant like structured
Americans over 50% are fat (
Over weight)people.
WHO and US government confirmed about it
Yeah but what does "Fat" really mean? I don't see almost any really "Obese" people, You never know, "overweight" to the government could just mean a few pounds over the average, which is in no way life threatening or bad. Like i said, I barely ever see Really huge people.
But the fact is America has a higher percentage of obese people than Japan does so it's something they would notice. And it makes sense because of our prevalence of fast food, large portion sizes, and sedentary lifestyles
Thanks you guys! The girl that used "sama" with George Clooney was so sweet. I love these videos where you interview Japanese people.

As an American, I sometimes feel bad when I don't know the names of other country's leaders, especially if they know mine. I don't know the first thing about Japanese politics, I'm afraid, perhaps because it gets zero news coverage here. The only countries where I know the leader's name is Britain, Germany, Iran and North Korea. :/
I know, I kinda laughed at myself for that, too! Infamy is a thing, apprently. Oh, and I forgot to put down Putin, most people over here know him too, of course. I guess you have to be a trouble-maker to get a lot of press, thus why no Japanese newsmakers!
This is actually a problem in Canada.. there are people who know more about American politics than their own.
I only know North Korea and Russia's leader (obviously because they're talked about a lot in American media). But everyone knows America's leader because American politics are everywhere and the US is the global superpower.
Cleodel I wouldn't consider that a problem. Politicians are mostly heard from when things aren't running smoothly. Canada has a lot less to worry about compared to our eccentric neighbours. Living in Ottawa, I live and breathe political news. Everything from the prime minister, member of parliament, premier, member of provincial parliament, mayor, councilor, and finally non elected government entities (NCC). I can keep going on and on about any elected politician in my riding.
That's hard though. If someone straight up asked me, "Who is Japan's leader?" I wouldn't know who to say because Japan has an emperor and a political leader. So I'd end up answering, "Emperor Akihito" even though the head of the government is P.M. Shinzo Abe. Would you say Queen Elizabeth II for UK, cause I would...lol. Along with your list, I can recall the President of South Korea, President of the Philippines...and that's it really. Lol.
I love this video. These Japanese people seem so friendly and fun. I am American, but would love to visit Japan one day. Hey Japan!
People from Japan; Innocent cinnamon rolls, too good, too pure. Must be protected at all costs.

Thank you Japan for being kind and encouraging and even saying nice things that even we Americans don’t believe about ourselves!

I love what they said about America, even though I've never been there but I know some people from there. But there's a small problem. In my personal opinion, in general, Americans aren't that accepting, even if they have a variety of people there. An amount of them can be racist and homophobic in sometimes extreme ways, like violence and insults. I like America, but there are things that I can't stand from a few types of people from there.
Weren't you just commenting on jkfilms' or rather jknews video an hour ago, what an awesome coincidence. What you said is probably true for many countries, I have never been in America but I'm sure, by what I've seen that that's the case there too.
SinkingSage
Yes, I was. I also follow them. The jkfilms, jknews, and jkparty. :P
Yes. According to the amount of these happenings in more developed countries, America isn't exactly in the nicest rank. :P
It honestly depends where you are in the U.S. If you're in the Southern states then there will definitely be more prejudice, but if you're in places such as L.A or New York City then there won't be as much of that prejudice.
I live in the US and everyone I know refers to Asians as Asians not specifically assuming they are Chinese, also majority of the racism I have noticed is between blacks and whites I have never encountered racism towards Asians or heard any negative stereotypes about them, except that they are bad drivers haha. Maybe it just has to do with the area of the US though I live on the east coast, but racism tends to be more present in the south of the country.
I think that it's not that people are unaccepting necessarily but that they are rude and stereotype. But it is also a cultural difference, you just kind of get used to people being however they are and don't really care. A lot of people are nice and welcoming and a lot of people are mean and dangerous. Just depends who you run in to:)

I was pretty nervous in Japan, and I'm actually pretty skinny but it didnt help that I cant gain any muscle mass. The people there walked and excersize so much that it made me sort of self conscious, so I'm glad to hear that they dont all think we're terrible people.
Nice video but I must incist... ..when are you going to interview elders.. ..old people have a much interesting point of view that the young ones i think (Im saying this couse i got this conversation with a couple of guys 40+ :P)
We have another, more serious interview with some older people already filmed! :D
Just need to come up with the time somewhere to edit it.
Rachel & Jun Perhaps you could also ask them about foreigners specifically, a big stereotype is that the older generation aren't too keen. Maybe ask them if they know friends who might not have the best view on foreigners if they are actually open to them.
I mean, it's just a suggestion anyway.
the one who says he likes florida, I like him
Lmao Florida gang
lol! Me too! ^_^ Especially since I live in Florida! :3
The background behing actually kind of looks like florida aswell
Damn! These people know more about the US than some of the citizens who are actually born and raised there. Very impressive. It's not just the system of education, but more with the urge and want to learn that is so important. This really shows how much they want to learn about other nations. Great stuff.
Could you please do one of Cuba? :) I would love to hear their thoughts of the large island at the Caribbean.
That one girl was so positive about everything I love her
This really changed my view on my country!
Thank you very much, Jun and Rachel!
I think it's interesting that they wanted to visit urban areas and nobody mentioned the national parks/nature
Y'all forgot about the memes
xan in da lean goddammit Pepe
Yes the unfunny memes
George Clooney-sama. I'm dead, I never thought I'd here that
I'm an American and I don't see the whole cheerful and positive vibe
^
I'm not getting the whole cheerful positive vibe either, esp lately.
l lb ever since trump got elected you killed feel the negativity in the air, it's like you can hear all the SJW's and feminazis crying
Could not killed
That's probably because you're a contrarian band-wagoner. Americans are super laid back.
Bruh they're so nice and respectful, imma cry...
I lost it at "George Clooney-Sama!". She's so cute. :D
I love how these people see America. I'm kinda surprised. As an American I had the impression that we were a bit violent and rude.
You forgot loud and obnoxious lol, but this is coming from a Canadian.
cromag1973 Apparently Canada doesn't have those kinda of people does it Justin Bieber anyone lol. We can pass sabers all day and it proves nothing.
Canada is just as Nationalistic as America as is Japan or any other country.
The problem lies in how our governments foreign policies are carried out. Which are usually not in the best interests of the peoole. That goes for Canada as well, so get off your high horse. :(
cromag1973 and when you are loud and obnoxious you just say your american. lol
***** Nothing against your heritage, your race, or your ancestry but why are you not an American? I get that there are people in our country that have hatred against other races. I think it's wrong. I get that our country has done a lot of messed up stuff. I think it's wrong. I get there is violence against people of different races. I think it's wrong. I get that America isn't the greatest country even for her own people. But it can be. I love my country, even though I hate the things her people have done in her name. I love my fellow countrymen, even if I think some of the things my countrymen have done were sick, cruel, and even downright evil.
But still I love my countrymen and the country I was born into that I would die for them. I'm not proud of everything my country has done but I'm certainly not ashamed to be called an American. I don't particularly care what shade of brown your, my, or my neighbor's skin is. I still see everyone born here or that have come here wanting to be a citizen (preferably legally) and work towards making this country a better place, even if it is just by trying to make a better life for themselves it is a start for a better tomorrow.
So nothing against your race, heritage, or ancestry. But why are you not an American?
"People are cheerful and positive."
Me: I almost get killed from people that have road rage!!
KV Kao ahh road rage. one of the funniest yet scariest things to experience on the riad
COME ON OVER TO NEW YORK!!!!😁
I'm fucking eating a hamburger right now! Happy New Year!
OpnDoarPlcy lol same
I already thought she was adorable but then she said "George Clooney-sama" I died SO FUCKING ADORABLLLLEEEEEEE
Many Americans don't realize that our countries diversity has the rest of the world in awe.
+Fernando Herrera True. I guess it makes us seem more friendly, easy-to-get-along-with and accepting. That's a great thing.
unfortunately we have one idiot running for president that wants to take away all the diversity :(
+JT84_456 here in America we got a arrogant idiot that has a 70 percent chance to be president, wants to build a giant wall around the us, and hates foreigners!
WISE SNIPER well he's dropped in the polls. So there's hope that we can keep the country as it is.
+JT84_456 your right
0:11 those are the type of jokes I just have to fake laugh to because I don’t want to hurt the other persons feelings.
Japanese are so nice but I feel like they're sugar coating it a bit ^^
Ahahaha lol even i feel the same :D
Who eles wants to go to Japan and live there/ or visit?
KV Kao Trust me- everyone there is polite
Theresa Kirk o
It's weird, mostly everyone in Japan speaks English unless you go to the country parts. When I visited Tokyo and Okinawa, they all mostly speak English. However, in Chiba nobody I saw spoke English.
This whole video makes me smile
Not sure why, but I found it absolutely adorable when the short-haired women said "George Clooney-Sama" while holding her cheeks.
It's a shame nobody said they'd like to see a National Park. The Grand Canyon is awesome. Yellowstone, Yosemite?? All BEAUTIFUL!
Yeah, it always bugs me the rest of our country gets ignored in favor of NY and LA.
"People are cheerful and positive"
ahahahaahahahahahahahaahahahahaha
I've NEVER met a Japanese person I didn't like.
Japanese go out of their way to be friendly.
They learn English better than 1/2 the South!
They appreciate learning things about the US.
They're FUNNY AS HELL when they'e drunk! "Petcha Pie" "Bong Q Bong"
Raylan Givens Awesome comment on the learning English!! lol
This is so sad😭
Can we bomb Hiroshima?
Did you man the south of usa
Interesting that a lot of them said MJ as their famous person. He really was one of the most famous people that ever lived.
Serenity Moon Yep, his name is known anywhere Pop Music is reverenced. He *really was* the King of Pop
Not that much people know about famous people in Japan.
+ Serenity Moon pretty muc h
Very interesting how these questions are asked of many people, yet they all have almost identical answers (opinion questions)...
OMG, the girl who called George Clooney “George Clooney-sama” is so adorable! That was so cute! 💕
The girl in the red sweater black short hair is cute
7:16 "George Clooney-sama !" My god, she's so cuuuute
I like how even for the negative things, they all manages to be so tactful about it. I would love to visit Japan, my husband has been there & loves it
