Hi from NZ. Sweet ride mate. Cans not stock. The original peashooter starts between the end of the swing arm and the back of the rear cog. And yes, the join is wrong. The whole rear end is completely different. SO jealous though!!! Very few W series made it here and both the 650 and 800 are very cool bikes indeed!! And your English is excellent so please don't apologise. It's us English speakers who should apologise for not speaking more different languages!! :) And of course you guys did give us Arnie...
Haha yeah, i am also very pleased about the fact, that someone already changed the stock exhaust system. I always liked the W 650, but they are pretty rare too in Austria and most of the time too expensive. Got lucky with this one and could not be happier. It's not the fastest nor lightest bike, but it's easy to ride and a joy to work on (except removing the carbs or battery haha) Cheers to NZ and ride safe mate!
I love the W650! Best bike on earth in my opinion! I'll buy one at the end of the summer. I have friends with those bikes and even the newer W800 and none of them made that rattling noise. Just wanted to tell you about it, so you can check it out. Cheers!
Nice one ! I have pretty-much the same-bike , the engines can be noisy but they are very-strong , 250,000k's before serious-work or half a million if you're lucky ( one in Japan has done more and hasn't been apart ! ) You can buy nice chrome (Metal) headlights for them . The chrome W800 chain-guard fits straight on . Original guards often come-up for sale second-hand when people 'modify them' , you might have to look a little further-afield . They are fun bikes and can be pushed-hard , a 'No's-bottle ' could be interesting , you've probably seen what Tom from Schlachtwerk did to one . Dave nz
Hell yess they are. To me they look more british than probably any modern bike from Triumph and this comes from someone, who owned a Thruxton 900 and a T120 :) Lovely bike though and lots of fun! Enjoy your Bonneville!
That is an after market exhaust system. The OEM exhaust uses double wall headers so they don't turn blue like yours are. Looks like after market turn signals also and I think the rear turn signals have been relocated from beside the tail light to below the seat.
The reason why the exhaust pipe is blue is because it’s not the original. The original pipe was DOUBLE TUBED or a double pipe. A pipe within a pipe. That’s why the original pipes didn’t turn blue. More expensive, but no blueing ! And by the way, the muffler looks to be a Triumph peashooter exhaust.
Painted or changed out all that beautiful chrome to shitty black, that's insane! The down pipes are discoloured in a way that originals don't, so they're definitely wrong. But it's mostly original and still a beautiful bike. You're gonna love it 🙂
I already do :) Although i will never understand why you would exchange those beautiful chrome fenders, it could be way worse. Pipes and exhaust isn't original either, but i don't mind. Sound is great ;)
@@Kinghariii Have you made any changes to the front suspension? I changed out my front forks and I'm looking at maybe a steering damper as there's an unnerving speed wobble on highways!
Completly agree with you and it would also be way cheaper. Still, i am the type of guy wo likes to work on his bikes and build them the way i picture them :)
Hi there, I have a superb, original in every detail one of these. Yes, the front fender on yours has been cut, which is a pity. Your exhausts are totally non original but should be okay. The original `chrome` headlight bowl, is in fact plastic, not metal and I don`t think a metal one is available. I honestly thought mine was metal until I took it off but you would never know. It`s a shame it doesn`t have the beautiful chrome tank badges. The engine shouldn`t rattle like that and it probably needs the shaft driven overhead cam, setting up properly. Still a nice bike. Enjoy.
Great Bike , .your exhaust is not original. The "Blueing" of the pipes might be from your carburetor mixture is very Lean . I love these Bikes . It a shame someone's changed all the original parts but no problem. KILLER BIKE !
This motor seems to be always compared to the English twins...but the shaft drive overhead cam engine always reminds me of the old Czech Jawa 500 twin.
While the final drive on this bike is certainly chain driven, the overhead cam on this engine is driven by a short shaft with bevel gears on each end, similar to many older Ducatis or as I referenced, a 1957 Jawa 500 OHC twin.
@@Kinghariii 15000km?... because of all the "modifications" its had and its condition i would say that the KM has definitely been altered...its very easy to do that with the digital numbers..with the analog ones the numbers never line up after its been messed with...i would not put any serious money into it and just ride it...might be a good idea to have it looked over by a good mechanic who knows bikes and get his thoughts...
More authentic Brit bike than the new Triumphs. Love the bevel cam drive. Great introduction can't wait to see what she looks like in a year.

They are sweeeet! It's kind of a BSA copy but it's really cool, always wanted one until I got my Bonnie. I always loved the clocks, Enjoy!

@@Kinghariii always do, it's a 790 one of the last of the English made. Built like a tank!

Bike looks don't affect the bike ride.....my advice would be-just ride the bike and enjoy ....no need to change anything if it is in working order.
Yeah, I'm with you on that.

Front fender is on the wrong way around not cut. Love the bike, they are so cool. I have the 800.
Yeah no, it is definitely cut :) But yeah, the W 650 and 800 are incredible solid bikes and look amazing.

Shaft drive is you're final drive, instead of a chain....

Thanks ✌️
whats its age and how many km/miles?
Built 1998 and about 15tkm. It that is true, that's basically nothing :)

Check out Marlon “ Peak Hipster “ about W650. Very funny!
I know and love his vids. :D
Engine is noisy, mechanical rattle, I'd check it out.
Nah engine is fine.
@@Kinghariiiagree, engine sounds fine. Enjoy your new bike :-)
