  • In this video I show you how I cleaned my LV petite noe bag using saddle soap, brasso and Cadillac leather conditioner. Stick around for the end where I show some before and after pictures.

    EDIT: I should mention that it's a good idea to wipe down the bag with a clean baby wipe after the final saddle soap cleaning to make sure you remove any remaining residue, this is especially important if you are heavy handed with the soap. Following up with a good leather condition is ALWAYS key. thanks for watching!!

    I prefer the liquid saddle soap, the canned stuff can cause cracks if you don’t fully wash it off.

    Thank you for your instructional video. I’ve seen other vids where the saddle soap was wiped away. You didn’t wipe it away?

    • @euro_babe
      @euro_babe  6 років тому +1

      I wipe it away when i feel like i went in too heavy with the soap, but for this one I just used the cleaner edges of the same baby wipe for the last cleaning and wiped it down. I let it dry and then applied a generous amount of conditioner. In general though, wiping away any remaining saddle soap with a clean wipe doesn't hurt. Applying a good leather condition is ALWAYS key :) thanks for watching!

    I also bought a vintage petit noe and I just noticed that there is a small hole in the canvass at the bottom near the vachetta. Any idea what to do to avoid the hole from getting bigger? Many thanks!

    My mother gifted me her vintage Louis Vuitton Noe bucket bag and I was wonder if you had any tips on how to clean the draw string. I’d really appreciate!

      you can try alcohol and fragrance free baby wipes, always follow up with leather condition after cleaning. If the strap is dry to begin with then I would condition first, let it dry, gently clean it and condition again. if you need replacement string a good alternative is leather lace that is used for baseball gloves. hope that helps :)

    If I didn’t want to use baby wipes could I just use micro fiber cloths to condition and a new white wash cloth to clean it or will that be too abrasive?

    • @euro_babe
      @euro_babe  5 років тому

      yes that would work to depending on how dirty the handles are. I've seen people just use plain bottled water and a clean cloth to wipe down the leather

    Thanks for sharing. I bought a vintage petit noe as well but my string is brittle. Do you know where I can buy to replace the string? :(

      baseball glove leather string is a great alternative. you can find it at sports stores or on amazon

    I just got a vintage noe in epi leather and wonder if you know what the inside lining is made of and the best way to clean it?

    • @euro_babe
      @euro_babe  2 місяці тому +2

      I believe it's canvas. i would try a mixture of awesome cleaner and water and a gentle brush, like a soft face brush. don't over wet it

    Can you use the conditioner on the canvas?

    • @euro_babe
      @euro_babe  6 років тому

      You can, the condition won't hurt the canvas. But i prefer to use the Armor All spray. It cleans the canvas while giving it a nice shine

    You should always use circular motions to clean a pre loved bag.

    Just a friendly tip, but if you are going to drop $1200 for bag you might as well invest in products designed for luxury leather - like Saphir products. Saddle soap is harsh on leather and baby wipes are going to have soaps and detergents that can actually remove the finish over time. You are using products that are meant to be used on cheap or fake leather.

    • @crystalw4030

      Thats why she uses wipes that are free of that stuff.

      Saddle soap is literally designed for leather and is brilliant at removing stains and watermarks from Vachetta. It’s a total myth that it’s “too harsh for leather.” Just have to know how to use it!

      I would normally use collonil brand for my luxury handbag. This brand provides wide range products for cleaning & care handbags. Just an info
