Brilliantly detailed instruction. I am thankful for the helpful directions. I’m going to give this a try after I watch how you make fabric paper. Thanks….
you are very welcome JS, once you have tried it with the fabric you want, you will get a feel for which fabrics need turning into book paper fabric. I tend to use it more for lighter weight, and the secret sauce is use a light hand when your pressing the fabric onto the book board. have a great week-end (❁´◡`❁) 💗😊hugs Donna

Great detail here. I have used fusible interfacing in place of the heat n bond and tissue paper. Works well. I use the sheer interfacing. No tissue is needed. Keeps the glue from coming through very well. I learned this trick from Nik the Booksmith.
thanks Marlene I have used the fusable interfacing as well it works great, (I have a sewing background and have tonnes of it) I love the diferent products that give diferent results, and you'd be surprised how many people can't get tissue paper in their country. BTW Isnt NTB great!! ♥︎♡☆🦋 hugs Donna
Thank you - you have no idea how grateful I am for the thorough explanation you show to cover a journal with fabric. It’s marvellously detailed. I have embroidered some curtaining fabric and don’t want to spoil it. I love your step by step detail and close up views. I could go on and on but thanks again! You’re a good teacher!🌷🦋🇦🇺
thanks heaps Eileen i'm so glad i can help you get your journal started! It sounds fabulous and i can understand why you want to take care ♥︎♡☆🦋 hugs Donna
I love your tips, and the fact that what you use we can get it here in Australia. We need to support our businesses here no more buying overseas I have always been about buy local.😜
Thanks Donna. This is really good. Just wondering if some time you could show us how you remove the head and tail bands and reattach them. Many thanks.
I am new to slow stitching and for my first project I want to make a fabric journal. I have watched a lot of videos on how to do it, and yours is by far the best. I prefer keeping the original spine as you did in this video. But now that the book is completed, how do you attach the fabric to the spine of the book. Thanks!
hi Mary thanks so much for your kind compliment, I have to ask you what you mean by attach the fabric to the spine of the book? do you mean how do you sew the pages (signatures) in the (spine) book.
Yes, that is what I mean. Sorry my sewing terminology is not that good. I would love for you to do a video on how to sew the pages into the book. I have seen some cut out some of the spine so that when the book is closed you can see the pages inside. That probably doesn’t make sense either, but I don’t want to cut away any of the spine.
Hi Inga It's a sweet sugarbelle icing bottle used for cookies but i got it from craftonline.com it's in a twin pack, you need a rubber stopper for the metal tip too, i forgot to get one and scrounged around till i found something that fit TᕼᗩᑎKᔕ for tuning in ♥︎♡☆🦋 hugs Donna
