So nice to watch a tutorial like this, thank you. I did remember how to cover a book with plastic or book paper from when I was a student long, long time ago but I never covered one in fabric. I think this is very helpful for many crafty people 🥰 Have a nice crafty week Groetjes Maia
It is exactly the same, well, almost. I learned it from covering my school books too 😄 also a loving time ago. Thank you Maria for your kind words. Fijn weekend, liefs Maureen 😘👍
So glad Barbara mentioned this video! I loved watching your tutorial. Great trick to cover the spine while also hiding the edges!! Thanks Maureen! ♡♡♡ -x.o
Maureen, When I first started making journals I tried to make a fabric covered journal and it went terribly... and I haven't tried it since. Your video inspired me to try it again!!! I think If I do it step by step with you that I'll be successful this time. I'll keep you posted. Thank you for posting this tutoriall, it is very informative and good to see each step.
Thank you Maureen for this video. My first attempt before I looked at UA-cam turned out ok apart from my back corners. I'll pop some metal corners on the cover to 'cover' my error up LOL! Next time I must try the method you show here.Fiddly but definitely does produce a nice result.
Hello sweetie, This was a very enjoyable half hour! I crafted along with you and felt like you were here and we crafted together.Sending a big virtuel hug, :)))))
You can follow the same instructions I think because it just depends on the book you use ❤ the little pocket makes it a hollow spine, but you don't need it to follow the tutorial. Best of luck
I was waiting for this video, sweetie! Fabulous instructions! So easy to follow (theoretically haha). I will definitely be trying this! :) Thanks so much for sharing this! Can't wait for the next one where you cover the ends up! Hugs, Barbara
No I don't have a video on that, sorry. Yes, I removed all of the pages - the whole textblock - and replaced it with my own pages that I embellished. I have a reel on IG if you'd like to see the making of that instagram.com/p/CiPZxI8oir8/ and a flip through.
So happy to have come across this video. It is wonderful!
❤ thank you

🥰 and a big hug for you. So happy to hear that we did this together 😄
Thankful to have come across this video. What should I do if my spine doesn’t have the little pocket?
You can follow the same instructions I think because it just depends on the book you use ❤ the little pocket makes it a hollow spine, but you don't need it to follow the tutorial. Best of luck
A popsicle stick would work to push down the fabric at the top and bottom of the spine🙂
Yes, indeed. Thank you.

Hi sweetie, thank you! Yes theoretically it will be easy 🥰😆 i look forward to seeing your book
Do you have a video of how you embellished the pages of this book? Did you remove any of the pages?? I love the way you covered it with fabric ❤️

@@MaureenAstrid thank you kindly 💕
Joie has a video where she decorates the pages while removing some. Check her page out.
