This is not true. Optimus wasn’t holding back in Prime when he fought Megatron and that is a more experienced and stronger version of this one. He lost that fight, now imagine that fight but add the smartest person in the entire universe and someone whose skill is close to Optimus and Megatron. There’s no way he wins this fight unless he uses the matrix.
