- No, this is not Ukraine, this is the flight of a huge home-built RC plane at the Tokoroa Airfield on a brilliant winter's day in June. Bill was at hand to help Chris get this model (the Twin Hopper) into the air and to act as spotter.
To see more of how this model was designed, built and tested check out Chris's UA-cam channel:

How come he didn't land back on the trolly? 😂
Theres a guy here in the states that lands his light ga on pickup trucks.
I have been watching the whole biuld series of this plane over on chris's channel, but this is the first time of me getting a real impression of the Dimensions of it. This shows how important good camerawork really is. You have done a marvelous job, capturing this Bird in all of its beauty. Well done Sir!
Chris must have upgraded his car to transport that brute of a plane. Well flown and well videoed, thanks guys.
Holy Cow! Bruce, was that you flying the chase camera drone? Awesome work! I loved every second of it! Wow!!!! Day Um!!!!
Yep, loaded up with meds and after the first good night's sleep in a week. It was great fun.
@@xjet Awesome!!!!
nice chase footage with the dramatic music. Chris makes some neat stuff.
What an amazing airplane, Bruce! Really fantastic flying!!! 😃
Thanks a bunch for sharing!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
That's an impressive model and great filming too 🙂👍
Don't encourage the old fellah Cliff! He's got too big a head now! 😜😉
Stunning building by the young "flightless" Chris, but it would have looked even better if flying over his home block rather than the Tokaroa dump etc. 😊
that is one beautiful model wow ! well done that man! nice video too, Ariel shots superb ..those props wow.
I think you all look very suspicious and should be reported to any relevant and irrelevant authorities 😋🤣🤣
Some very skilled chase footage..... Not too close, controlled.... Exemplary
I wanted to see him land it back on the trolley. 😂
Wow what a gorgeous plane, and such nice miniquad footage, gonna have to bookmark this one!
I can introduce you to the guy that built it if you like :-)
@@xjet That wasn't the real iflight2P, no socks and sandals!
Magnificent craft Chris. That seems like a fabulous setup. Great job getting the aerial shots, Bill. Almost like you planned it. Good times.
Oh, before I forget Bruce, nice commentary. Great that you're keeping busy now that you can't fly anymore...
Yes, but I can still spot for Bill when he's flying that drone to get the aerial shots ;-)
Greetings from Mexico.
As Bobby would say, smooth-super smooth! Great flight video.. 👏
YES Finally some more iforce2D flight footage from 3rd person, with an actually good camera (sorry chris)
Great video. The chase form 2:22 is awesome, very well done. Both the flying and the editing.
Nice seeing Chris, Bruce, Bill and others enjoying aviation at the Tokoroa airfield.
Much bigger than it appears in Chris' channel. Very impressive. Also first time we have actually seen Chris I think.
This is fantastic 👌
Nice to see the Old Fart Brigade encouraging the younger participants. Even if they can afford nothing better than the old Flysky nobody looks down on them out in the Colonies. 😉😁
Really cool to watch! I have watched parts of the construction etc on Chris’s channel. I wish I had a cnc foam wing cutter similar to his one….😊😊😊😅
Amazing chase Sir. I got lost in the flight, like some quick therapy
Are you saying that iforce2d is a channel about RC? I only watch it for the mind-blowing scenery.
Will watch the build, its appears to be very stable flyer and thanks for the drone footage gave great flight detail. Many thanks to all incl Bill as the gopher for the video and link Regards
Now that's a sorted airframe, well done Chris @iforce2d or is it 3 Great choice of music as well, all top notch
That's a really beautiful airplane.
That was a nice plane, and video. Its the same all over the world gouwement makes trouble for this nice hobby .
So true... part of my role is to push back against ridiculous over-regulation and one way to do that is to show the fun that the hobby brings to so many as in this video.
Excellent choice of music Bruce. Really set the mood 👍
👍🛩
Amazing build! I watched the progress and hope to achieve this level of awesomeness someday
that plane is pretty awesome and i have decided i want one
I thought Chris would have painted it by now 🙂
I was thinking, stretched plastic sheet, might help smooth the airflow over the wing and take out the fibreglass 'roughness' as well. Maybe add some decals of an Albatross or Eagle or Condor on the underside of the wing. 🦅
Majestic was a great description
Fascinating. i'm subscribed to his channel also. I need to build a take off dolly.
That is a beautiful plane and brilliantly captured by the drone. Great video work.
Love your channel Bruce!
Sounds like an episode of "Bluey".
Jeeeeeez ive been following building this plane for a while and its such a majestic piece of craftsmanship. I would love to own one
Fantastic. More videos please Chris.
That was a beautiful flight and a greaser of a landing. One question, did Chris isolate the batteries before hefting the model onto his shoulder?
Of course he did... and he has the scars to prove it! :-D
Everyone knows 3 meters = 21 ounces in length..
Your comment weighed pretty heavily on my mind. 😁
That was good.
Hello Chris!
💙🙏
Awesomeness. I remember Chris’s channel years ago when he tested a lot of FlySky gear.
Well done!
cool
Sweet aircraft
What a graceful flyer, that plane.
thank you for the video
How does it have a wingspan of 72 degrees Fahrenheit
Because it's winter in the Southern hemisphere I guess.
no😊
2:14... why did it sound like a piece of cardboard in bicycle spokes... ?
I think it's because the props are quite close to the pool noodles on the dolly
I thought you said that Ron would be flying? Hopefully he is well
Yes, that video is still in edit. I've been pretty busy the past week!
I recognise that plane
That'll never fly!
