Gtechniq G5 Water Repellent Coating | How to Apply | Instructions | Hints & Tips

Hi Folks,
Here's a quick video on how to apply Gtechniq G5 Water Repellent Coating on your windows.
I was having some issues previously using this window sealant, but after a quick chat with the Gtechniq rep, I'm much happier using it now, and it finishes to a nice clear finish.
The key is to work the product into the window much longer than I was. This breaks down the sealant into a nice thin oily layer, which, after allowing it to cure for 10-15 minutes, wipes off a dream.

Hi,
Longevity and ease of application are the main differences.
G1 will outlast G5 many times over but requires more attention on application and a curing time of 12 hours vs 2 for G5.
I have found that G5 does however give a lower speed run off vs G1, around 30mph against 40mph on the G1 so if you do a lot of city driving it may be better to go with G5.
