"That's why YOU'RE a legend!" I love how the Solo Mode designers went all out to make that story duel feel like a final battle. And how MBT went all out to make the end of it as entertaining as possible.
Gotta love the amount of love and effort the Master Duel team put to the Solo mode stories in recent updates. This, Myutants, Rikka, and the Plunder Solos. Even with some dummy ass translation and grammatical errors, the storytelling "vibe" is ultimately spot on. Their ability to balance the game competitively is jackshit but if MD team ever want to make Singleplayer lore-focused YGO game, they're nailing it.
No they're not, the loaner decks are almost entirely dogshit and make you think "well this archetype is boring and bad." I shit you not, I thought Tri-Brigade must be bad because of how bad the loaner decks were, then I hopped on ladder and saw soooo much of them

It reflects the story premise Girsu and Galatea watching ib(which you're supposed to summon with girsu) from different place (aka gy) in a clear world after the Auram reboot the world to a blank state (empty field)
Some of the designs of the characters are even similar too. Both Ib and 7's revived forms have a mechanical angel theme, for example. I still think it's different enough to like on its own, but the solo mode really shows how much the designers liked XB1

it's kind of a mishmash of a bunch of themes that also got used in a lot of xeno games. i'm sure the world legacy lore creators like xenosaga and xenoblade, but those RPGs aren't the first to touch on a lot of those themes either so maybe they got their inspiration from elsewhere
god the world legacy lore is so good. and i LOVE the effort that went into the solo modes for it. would love to see them do branded now that xenoblade chronicles is all finished
Okey, here are some things I noticed during the story mode: - The Qli imagety implies the Worldlegacy Saga takes place in the future of the Duel Terminal - Cyberse, the Cyberspace Type, appears here, BECAUSE its the Duel Terminal! The Power of the World, of the Simulation, the World Legacies grants this type in the story - Girsu clutches Galateas scarf in his hand, gets the Mekk Knight title by inheriting the duty of looking after Ib and the world and inherits Qli looking parts from Avira as a result - Not only the World Gears, but also Avira, Rebuilder of Worlds, have entire Qliphort parts as parts of the body / apparatus - This probably means, that the members of the Crusadia may be descendants of the old tribes. As an example the elf looking woman which name I forgot looks like she belongs to the Gusto / Beast Tamers

This whole World Legacy Saga gate was some of the most fun I’ve had in Master Duel. The story behind all of these interconnected archetypes is insane and really freaking interesting. Plus, I just want to say thank you to Joe and all of his cohorts in Progression Playoffs. It was because of them I was inspired to build Crusadia in Master Duel. Watching them it looked like they were having a lot of fun with the Archetype and I wanted to see if the deck was as fun as they made it out to be and boy was it ever. I’ve built a few decks in Master Duel and Crusadia has become one of my favorites to play.
World Legacy is what GOT ME IN to Yugioh in earnest, LOVE the wild story line and beats. Love how it throws back to the Duel Terminal, and excited to see If it ever combines with Albaz stuff? Just so many neat things all around it
If you liked the world legacy lore, you should definitely check out both Xenoblade and Bravely Default, as they seem to be the main inspirations behind it as well as bangers in their own rights.

Albaz lore is sick , i'm really looking forward to albaz in solo mode ( in case you don't know, albaz lore include tri-brigade, branded, Sword soul, sprite, dogmatika, Ice jade, therion, spriggan)
I think the fact ningirsu held off the nightmares 1v 5 in part 1 while still bring a normal monster ( he lost his power up say that point) makes up for his fuk ups
I hope the next big lore series we get is either Albaz or Luster pendulum, cause they did this right. I know duel terminal also exist but that would take so long to put each part out.

Im glad I finally realize how the Orcust fit into my favorite lore. Nin BECOMES ding/girsu, and Galatea is more than just a doll holding Ib. And then they go off on Full Metal Alchemist-type adventures together.
I really wish that instead of making tv shows about the people playing the card game, Yugioh hired some writers that made the stories like World Legacy, Albaz, and Visas Starfrost into actual tv shows. It'd be so cool and still drive people to the products.
Because these characters were made with their journey in mind. Every member of the initial party of 4 goes through hardships and drastic changes on the stories way to its climax. Any character existed solely for the story and their deaths would not have conflicted with future stories or marketing. MtG takes established characters who are already godly powerful from the start and puts them in a story they aren't that involved with.

Visas seems to be wrapping up or at least entering another act anyways.

This is how I know guardragons aren't much of an archetype. MD didnt even bother to give us a practice mode for them. They knew its not a cohesive archetype. Just an engine...just like the world legacy artifacts and knightmares. Would've been nice if they were

Just imagine.. Konami would hire a Studio to animate all the Fantastic Lore they have readily aviable in their cards. World Legacy and Albaz would make for excellent Anime that could easily fill 24 or more Episodes with great content. And those are 2 of many :D
The world legacy story line is definitely the best they have in master duel so far, abosulte banger finish duel as well. Just kinda sucks how the meek knight are on the other side.
I think it has to do with how the ai doesn't know what to do with mekk knights like not banishing purple cause you got a big equimax so it sees it needs to leave it in defense verse trying to combo with them

Not really about complexity. I like how the Abyss storyline has more focus on side characters. World Legacy is very dedicated to fleshing out only the initial 5 World Chalice Heroes, stuff like the crusadia members beyond avram gets barely anything. In Abyss you have Fleur and the dogmatika defectors, Kitt, the Tri-Brigade, Swordsouls, Aegerine, Agyro system and co, springans and probably some i forgot getting a decent amount of attention. The world feels fleshed out and stuff happens without major characters being present. Long yuan's betrayal happens completely separate from Albaz, he has a small clash with mirrorjade but is ultimately put down by Aegerine.
Honestly, this greatly reminds me of the Xenoblade games. Not necessarily in how the story turns out, but more so in how deep the story goes. Honestly, if you liked this story then I can recommend xenoblade 2 and 3. I love the storys from both games. And if you do decide to play 2, look up a combat tutorial. The game explains it's combat poorly which can result in people having a bad experience with the game. Also, a side note on the fist Xenoblade game. It has an incredible story and amazing music, but I can't personally recommend it because, frankly, the gameplay really sucks. Not the worst game I've played, not by a long shot, but I just don't think that the combat system is fun.

The ending was exactly like xenoblade where shulk ascended to God hood and rewrote the world and disappeared.
I know the intention is "Din" "Girsu" to go with his music theme but when you put it up next to all the other girsus and he turns into a giant robot named "Ding" its so fucking cartoony I cant take it seriously
I think they could probably make a tales of style game or even series of games about the world legacy story. For a story told by cards it has no business going as hard as it does.
This is how I know guardragons aren't much of an archetype. MD didnt even bother to give us a practice mode for them.

Just imagine.. Konami would hire a Studio to animate all the Fantastic Lore they have readily aviable in their cards. World Legacy and Albaz would make for excellent Anime that could easily fill 24 or more Episodes with great content. And those are 2 of many :D

The world legacy story line is definitely the best they have in master duel so far, abosulte banger finish duel as well. Just kinda sucks how the meek knight are on the other side.
I think it has to do with how the ai doesn't know what to do with mekk knights like not banishing purple cause you got a big equimax so it sees it needs to leave it in defense verse trying to combo with them

Not really about complexity.
I like how the Abyss storyline has more focus on side characters.
World Legacy is very dedicated to fleshing out only the initial 5 World Chalice Heroes, stuff like the crusadia members beyond avram gets barely anything.
In Abyss you have Fleur and the dogmatika defectors, Kitt, the Tri-Brigade, Swordsouls, Aegerine, Agyro system and co, springans and probably some i forgot getting a decent amount of attention.
The world feels fleshed out and stuff happens without major characters being present.
Long yuan's betrayal happens completely separate from Albaz, he has a small clash with mirrorjade but is ultimately put down by Aegerine.

Honestly, this greatly reminds me of the Xenoblade games. Not necessarily in how the story turns out, but more so in how deep the story goes.
Honestly, if you liked this story then I can recommend xenoblade 2 and 3. I love the storys from both games. And if you do decide to play 2, look up a combat tutorial. The game explains it's combat poorly which can result in people having a bad experience with the game.
Also, a side note on the fist Xenoblade game. It has an incredible story and amazing music, but I can't personally recommend it because, frankly, the gameplay really sucks. Not the worst game I've played, not by a long shot, but I just don't think that the combat system is fun.
